It was supposed to be a Mythic card set, but what the heck is this Warhammer 40k?

The moment Lu Ya uttered the words "Evil Card Master," Zhou Qian's expression clearly showed surprise. He asked in astonishment, "How did you know?"

Lu Ya shrugged and said matter-of-factly, "I heard it from a rumor."

Zhou Qian's expression immediately turned somewhat helpless, but he didn't dwell on the matter too much and instead sighed.

"Never mind, this isn't exactly a secret anymore, so it doesn't matter if you know."

Seeing this, Lu Ya seized the opportunity to inquire, "So, do you have any leads right now?"

Zhou Qian shook his head: "We don't have many clues yet. The only clue we have is that this evil card master seems to possess a purple card called [Starving Ghost]."

Lu Ya suddenly realized why the Card Master Alliance was checking the cards of suspicious card masters; they had this clue.

Indeed, checking the card master's cards is currently the simplest and most efficient way to identify evil card masters.

Lu Ya then asked, "But aren't you afraid of resistance from other card masters by doing this?"

Most card players are very reluctant to let others know about their cards.

Zhou Qian sighed with a wry smile: "There's nothing we can do about it. As far as we know, the [Starving Ghost] in the hands of that evil card master has a special characteristic."

"It's about increasing your strength by consuming the strange and other card players' cards."

After listening to Zhou Qian's description of the card "Starving Ghost", Lu Ya couldn't help but frown.

Even a simple description made Lu Ya feel troubled.

It's no wonder that the Card Master Alliance was so eager to hunt down this evil card master.

After all, if the [Starving Ghost] is allowed to continue devouring, no one knows how far it will grow.

"Alright, I can't go into too much detail about these things, but that's basically the situation."

Zhou Qian subtly changed the subject, looking at Lu Ya and saying, "Tell me about your situation."

Faced with the sudden shift in topic to himself, Lu Ya seemed somewhat puzzled: "My situation...don't you already know everything about my situation?"

At this moment, Zhou Qian revealed a sly smile: "You think I don't know? If I'm not mistaken, you should have a purple card, right?"

The moment Zhou Qian uttered the words "purple card," Lu Ya was startled, and his expression immediately became serious.

It should be noted that he had not told anyone other than Yang Feng and Yang Yue about the existence of the [Weeping One] in his possession.

He really couldn't understand where Zhou Qian had learned about this.

Noticing the change in Lu Ya's expression, Zhou Qian smiled and continued, "You must be very curious now about how I knew. Actually, it's quite simple."

"After I sent you away from the Peach Blossom Village Secret Realm, I went back to the Mountain God Temple and inspected it. I found that there were still residual card spirits at the scene."

"You should know that only purple cards or higher-level cards retain this kind of card spirit after experiencing battle!"

"So after leaving Peach Blossom Village, I conducted a simple investigation into you and Yang Feng. Based on the investigation, Yang Feng can basically be ruled out, so that leaves only you."

Lu Ya was dumbfounded by these words.

Since this was his first time creating a purple card, he had no idea that purple cards would retain their spirit after a battle.

Damn, I still suffered from my lack of experience!

This can be considered a lesson learned from experience.

Lu Ya sighed and looked at Zhou Qian, saying, "So, what's the purpose of telling me all this?"

He didn't believe that Zhou Qian would tell him these things for no reason.

Zhou Qian smiled slightly: "Don't worry, I have no ill intentions towards you. On the contrary, a card master like you who can make purple cards during the apprenticeship stage is a talent no matter where you are."

At this point, Zhou Qian paused for a few seconds before slowly revealing his true purpose: "So, are you interested in joining our Card Master Alliance?"

Lu Ya was taken aback by Zhou Qian's invitation.

He hadn't expected that Zhou Qian's purpose in telling him all this was simply to invite him to join the Card Master Alliance.

After regaining his senses, Lu Ya's expression immediately turned strange: "Isn't this a bit inappropriate? Don't forget, I'm still just a student, I haven't even graduated yet."

In Lu Ya's mind, as a student, his main focus should still be on his studies.

However, Zhou Qian said nonchalantly, "This doesn't conflict with anything. Our Card Master Alliance values ability, not status. Since you can make purple cards, it means you have enough ability."

"Furthermore, a card master with your potential will definitely receive special training after joining the Card Master Alliance. It won't be long before you..."

As Zhou Qian patiently and skillfully tried to paint a rosy picture of a future as a card master for Lu Ya, Lu Ya watched as Zhou Qian guided him step by step.

Lu Ya's expression immediately turned strange.

This scene was all too familiar to him; it was exactly how his bosses used to make empty promises to employees when he was working in his previous life.

The painted cakes aren't exactly the same, but they're practically identical.

Lu Ya interrupted Zhou Qian, saying, "Stop, stop, brother, please stop making empty promises. My stomach isn't good; I can't digest that."

He already had enough of the empty promises and pie-in-the-sky work experience he had in his previous life.

I originally thought that after I transmigrated into a card master, I would no longer have to rely on other people's empty promises, but I never expected this.

Lu Ya sighed and said, "How about this, why don't you give me some time to think about it?"

To be honest, Lu Ya wasn't particularly interested in joining the Card Master Alliance.

Especially at this crucial time of searching for evil card masters, joining the Card Master Alliance not only means working for the Card Master Alliance, but also working yourself to the bone and not getting much benefit.

This is tantamount to having too much free time and creating trouble for oneself.

However, out of respect for Zhou Qian, Lu Ya felt embarrassed to refuse directly, since Zhou Qian had helped him twice before.

Therefore, Lu Ya could only make up an excuse to temporarily gloss over the matter.

Zhou Qian was a smart man, so he could naturally understand the refusal in Lu Ya's words.

Since Lu Ya was unwilling to join the Card Master Alliance, Zhou Qian naturally wouldn't force him. So Zhou Qian stood up and said, "Alright, then I won't insist."

"Of course, if you ever change your mind or change your mind, you can still come to me anytime."

After saying that, Zhou Qian left the community with the other card masters.
