Magic: My equipment slots have no restrictions

Chapter 135 What's Behind the Wall?

When Victor arrived at the scene, Miles was standing with a group of miners at the entrance to the outside world, reviewing the incident.

"After I went in, I took the left path, which went up. After turning a corner, I continued walking, and ahead was the glowing mushroom cave."

"Didn't you see Ruhr? We went through the right-hand passage, but we couldn't find him either."

The miners discussed it, their expressions filled with surprise and uncertainty.

Miles listened silently, not uttering a word, his face solemn as he stared at the bronze mirror in his hand, which was covered with intricate runes.

"How long ago did this happen? Did you sense any unusual magical energy using magical artifacts?"

Victor strode over to Miles and glanced at the bronze mirror in the other's hand.

"Master."

"The Venerable Master has arrived."

Before Miles could respond, the miners greeted him respectfully, bowing to him.

In some ways, Victor's status is now probably higher than that of Lord Miles.

Miles, however, did not take the townspeople's reactions to heart.

He had already told himself that he should always maintain a superior-subordinate attitude whenever he saw Viktor, and at this moment he subconsciously bowed.

He forced a sly, obsequious smile onto his face.

"Lord Victor..."

Answer me first.

Victor shook his head and asked.

Within the [Magic Affinity]'s vision, the bronze mirror in Miles's hand was emitting a blue line that led straight to the cave entrance ahead, like some kind of guidance.

"..."

Miles knew the effect of the bronze mirror had been noticed, and scratched his head somewhat awkwardly, looking towards the cave entrance ahead:

"There were indeed some clues, but that lead has gone cold."

He didn't continue, as if he thought Viktor would understand what he meant.

He just stared at the deep cave entrance, his eyes seemingly hiding something.

It's unclear whether the merchant regretted losing an asset or the lord was worried about the disappearance of his subjects.

The thought flashed through his mind, and Victor looked away, then reached out and snatched Miles's bronze mirror, heading towards the cave entrance.

"I need to investigate this further, so please lend it to me for now."

Upon seeing this, Miles instinctively showed a look of pain, but looking at the boy's back, he felt a strange sense of reassurance.

Since Viktor was able to kill a pseudo-level 8 monster like "Avatar of Greed," he certainly wouldn't keep his low-level magical artifact for himself.

Moreover, if it were the other side, they might actually be able to bring Ruhr back.

"Da da da..."

Just as Miles was pondering this, he heard hurried footsteps behind him.

But when he looked back, he saw that Mikander had slowed down and was walking when he came up to him.

"Lord Miles."

As soon as Mikander arrived, he bowed respectfully to Miles, then glanced around and asked in confusion:

"Has the Venerable Master already gone inside?"

"Yes."

In response to the boy's question, Miles nodded slightly:

"This place has been taken over by the adults."

......

Meanwhile, Victor entered the cave entrance and, guided by his magical vision, arrived at the fork in the road the miners had mentioned.

He first looked towards the road to the left and saw faint, localized glows in various parts of the road, a sense of familiarity flashing in his eyes.

Without guessing or needing magical detection, Victor knew that those things must contain light mushrooms.

"If we just turn the corner, we can get to the Mushroom Cave, which will make it easier to return to the academy."

Viktor pondered to himself as he walked toward the deep, desolate path to the right.

The route through the Mushroom Cave is easy to navigate, and everything that could be considered an enemy has been eliminated on every road connected to it.

If that miner named Ruhr had taken this road, he should have already taken the long way around and returned to his territory.

Instead of the trouble we're facing now.

"laugh."

Viktor took a torch from his inventory, quickening his pace, but his eyes remained calm.

He was vaguely curious about the cave entrance he had entered that led to the outside world, and one of the paths led to the mushroom field.

There is an invisible [teleportation mark] between the mushroom field and the academy.

So, where does the other road lead to in the outside world?

Driven by a sense of curiosity, Victor walked along the path that had already been explored by the miners, increasing his speed.

Although it was dark around us, we were illuminated by torches and aided by the power of our magical vision.

"Chirp chirp chirp..."

Several vampire bats hanging upside down on the cave wall suddenly attacked Victor, but he easily dodged them.

"Smack."

With a snap of his fingers, [Hand of the Mage] transformed into a stream of light and rushed towards one of the vampire bats.

He grabbed the other's dark body and then crushed it forcefully.

Amidst the cracking of bones, several warm bats turned into cold corpses, which Victor then stored in his inventory as warm materials.

Apart from that, Victor encountered no further trouble until he reached the end of the road.

The only thing that can be called an obstacle is this so-called end.

"..."

Victor stared at the stone wall that was exactly the same as the passageway, his expression turning serious.

Although it appears to be the end of the road, the miners stopped here because they saw there was no way to go any further.

But under his magical vision, he discovered that it was a stone wall.

Moreover, unlike ordinary stone walls, this one was inscribed with various runes within the dark passage.

The pale blue light emanating from these runes was extremely striking, like a sun in the darkness.

"The guidance from the bronze mirror also ends here, so it seems there's more to this place than meets the eye."

Viktor had no doubt that as long as he could push open this wall, or rather, unravel its secrets, he would be able to find Ruhr.

Because there are no other mechanisms or formations here.

With this thought in mind, he activated [God's Perspective] without the slightest hesitation.

The next instant, Viktor's vision began to rise, and then, under his control, he quickly adjusted his direction and rushed towards the stone wall.

And just as he had guessed, there was indeed a hidden world behind the stone wall.

The roads here are very wide, and glowing plants grow everywhere. Moreover, there seem to be some magical plants here that were not recorded in the black scroll.

"Crunch, crunch..."

As his vision continued to move forward, Victor suddenly heard the sound of bones colliding coming from not far away.

The sound didn't come from beside him, but rather he heard it from his perspective as a god.

Following the sound, Viktor was immediately surprised.

Under a giant tree, several naked skeleton soldiers wielding bone spears were passing by.

They would occasionally scan their surroundings, as if searching for something.

"..."

Victor immediately controlled his vision and continued to advance, fixing his view on the top of the giant tree and looking down.

And upon closer inspection, he indeed spotted his target.
