Wizards pursue the truth

Chapter 323 [323] A Great Harvest: The Revival of Green Forest War and the Benefit of the Fishermen

Chapter 323 [323] A Great Harvest: The Revival of Green Forest War and the Benefit of the Fishermen

The spirit of the remnant, being the essence of the soul, could not escape the control of the Locked Heart Realm. One yellow chain after another pierced its soul body, pulling it into the Nightmare Annihilation Mirror.

Looking at the ferocious face constantly roaring in the mirror, Wang Ya's eyes revealed a look of satisfaction. This was an extremely useful tool, and when used in conjunction with the Netherworld Wizard Puppet, it could unleash the power of a level two wizard.

They were defeated by him, as the Nightmare Annihilation Mirror's ability to counter them played a more significant role.

In addition, Wang Ya knew more about the other party, which allowed him to make targeted responses.

In a head-on confrontation, it would be difficult for Wang Ya to gain the upper hand; the gap in skill level was simply too large.

Even a seasoned, established wizard cannot contend with a second-level wizard; at best, they can prepare in advance and barely manage to escape in a sorry state.

Wang Ya did not follow the ordinary path of a wizard, nor can he be regarded as an ordinary formal wizard.

After the Netherworld Secret Realm ends, he will most likely take some time to reflect. First, he will consolidate his strength and upgrade his witchcraft techniques to the level of a formal wizard. Second, he will enter the dream world to complete some tasks, and the core of his dream will soon undergo its first transformation after advancing to the level of a formal wizard.

Incidentally, he also exchanged memories with the Black Soul King Ya in the Black Tower, acquiring the extraordinary knowledge and various secret information that the other party had collected over the years.

These things would be no less helpful to Wang Ya than the legacy of the Netherworld Wizard.

As expected, with the inclusion of numerous extraordinary knowledge, the Eye of Truth can undergo another transformation. It's just unknown whether its functions will be enhanced on the original basis or whether it will acquire new functions.

Secondly, it's time to sort out and systematically plan out the various miscellaneous things we own.

A well-planned wizarding strategy can save you from many unnecessary detours.

As his thoughts drifted away, Wang Ya gently brushed his right hand across the mirror, and the hideous face disappeared.

Now, it's time to reap what you deserve.

"You have passed the first stage of the test and can now enter the first three levels of the Land of Inheritance to obtain the legacy left behind by the Netherworld Wizard."

The familiar fluctuations of thought reappeared in Wang Ya's mind, but without any emotional fluctuations, it was cold and mechanical. It seemed that the spirit of the ruins and this voice were symbiotic, yet separate.

Even the most diligent employee will feel bored if they are doing the same thing over and over again.

This is a good thing for Wang Ya, as it saves him a lot of trouble and makes it easier to cover up things that don't need to be revealed to the Ghost Light Wizard.

Three hours later, Wang Ya's figure gradually materialized at the entrance of the purple pyramid; he had obtained what he wanted.

It doesn't take too long to be included in the Eye of Truth.

Wang Ya is no longer the same person she used to be.

They also wouldn't spend half a month or even a month inside the Black Sun Tower collecting and passing on knowledge.

The only problem is the traces of frost within this secret realm.

After the Netherfire erupted, the secret realm consumed a considerable amount of energy, and with the shrewdness of the Netherlight Wizard, it was easy for him to discover some problems.

Wang Ya frowned slightly and finally made a decision.

Since the facts exist, no matter how much you try to cover them up, some clues will always remain.

At this point, actively guiding the other party to speculate about certain things would be most beneficial for Wang Ya.

Wang Ya then made a decision about which items to take.

The dim, ghostly fire flickered as if it might be extinguished at any moment, illuminating only a very limited corner of the room.

The central stone pillar began to emit a faint light spontaneously, and the spatial layers fluctuated, successfully stabilizing the node balance.

An inexplicable force descended upon this place, forcibly condensing the dim Netherworld Fire together to form a phantom gate that could vanish at any moment.

A figure in black robes emerged, the black lotus mask on his face reflecting a purple glow. His black eyes gleamed, quickly landing on the doorway. A petite figure in a dark wizard's robe stood there, expressionless, his gaze as deep as a still pool, as if he could see right through Wang Ya's thoughts.

"Something happened in the Netherworld Secret Realm?"

"indeed."

"Could you please explain your explanation?"

"I have obtained the Netherworld Inheritance. According to the Wizard Contract, these two are yours. I will give you their bodies first, but I need to process their souls before I can separate them smoothly."

Wang Ya did not answer the question from the Ghostly Wizard. He stroked the red metal ring with his fingers, and two adult bodies lay on the ground under the red light.

The Spectral Wizard's attention was also drawn, and a hint of joy appeared on his face, while a barely perceptible movement flickered in his eyes.

Wang Ya clapped his hands, drawing the attention of the Ghostly Wizard back to him, and slowly said, "As for the situation inside the secret realm, would you believe me if I said I couldn't resist using the Sun Lamp?"

Ghostly Wizard: "."

A smile appeared in Wang Ya's eyes as he said softly, "The process isn't important; the result is what matters most. We've both fulfilled the first part of the Wizard's Contract. You need to see the anomalies in the Netherworld Secret Realm for yourself to understand."

At that moment, Wang Ya's tone changed, and his expression became extremely solemn. "There is an unknown wizard in the Dark Land, whose strength has reached the second level. He is hostile towards me and has affected the Dark Secret Realm. I did use the Sun Lamp."

The Wizard of Ghostlight's expression changed drastically, and shock filled his eyes. He subconsciously uttered, "This is impossible."

Wang Ya had been observing the Ghostly Wizard, and seeing her expression, some of his previous guesses could be overturned.

The Ghostlight Wizard was indeed not in the Dream Garden; the one secretly observing him and the Coran Wizard was behind the scenes.

She was most likely unaware of the situation in the Netherworld Secret Realm.

Perhaps the spirit of the ruins was hidden too deeply, and the underground cave-like altar space was extremely secretive, belonging to the most core secret authority of the Netherworld Pyramid, which allowed access to be controlled.

"Hearing is believing, seeing is believing. I suggest that Wizard Youguang go and see for himself inside the Netherworld Secret Realm," Wang Ya said, staring at Wizard Youguang's face.

"I understand, Nightmare Wizard. You may leave now." The Ghostly Wizard took a deep breath and composed himself.

There was still a problem, and it was very likely that it involved some of the secrets of the Ghost Light Wizard. Wang Ya pondered for a moment, but nodded to the Ghost Light Wizard and turned to walk into the void.

The Ghostlight Wizard had granted him permission to traverse one spatial layer.

After Wang Ya left, the Ghost Light Wizard stood alone inside the room, staring at the Netherworld Flame where the light gate still existed, his eyes flashing, his face extremely gloomy.

She seemed to have thought of something, and her figure disappeared from the square. Instead of going to the Netherworld Secret Realm, she returned directly to the Dark Tower.

They went directly to the highest level, a place considered forbidden by the dark lineage of wizards.

The crystal coffin remained there. The Spectral Wizard, standing before it, remained silent, his expression complex, though his gaze was clearly focused on carefully examining the interior of the coffin.

"The Nightmare Wizard said that there might be a second Star Wizard in the Underdark. Is he lying, or does such a person really exist? And who is that person? Why is there malice behind him? Ten thousand years have passed. Could there still be secrets in the Underdark that I don't know about?"

The soliloquy of the Ghostly Wizard echoed throughout the entire top-floor space.

Here she can confide in others without anyone else hearing her.

[Target: Colorful Clouds and Flowers]

[Details: The stage-by-stage reward for the Netherworld Trial includes a relatively rare extraordinary magical plant. Long-term consumption of its nectar and petals can brighten the eyes and clear the mind, accelerate thinking ability, and relieve mental fatigue.]

[Grade: Tier 1 Extraordinary Magical Plant]

Wang Ya held the seven-colored flowers, which radiated a seven-dimensional glow, in her hands, the light reflecting off her fair face.

The three-tiered magical plant space, when fully powered, can support the cultivation and nourishment of first-tier extraordinary magical plants.

Advanced magical plants correspond to the level of a formal wizard, are more valuable, and produce stronger medicinal effects.

If an apprentice-level wizard consumes an advanced-level magical plant, let alone refine it into a spiritual potion, even if he eats it raw, he will not be able to withstand its effects.

Even apprentice wizards must consume them separately. For formal wizards, even entry-level magical plants are extremely precious, and the corresponding extraordinary potions are even more valuable, making them highly valued by formal wizards. Freddy the wizard might be able to create them by sheer luck, but the yield and success rate would be extremely low, and the process would be incredibly lengthy. While his potion-making knowledge might be sufficient, his skill ultimately hasn't reached the level of a formal wizard, preventing him from imbuing them with enough spiritual energy.

Wang Ya wasn't confident he could cultivate a larger number of them; his knowledge of magical plant cultivation was mostly at the apprentice level.

His research into the paths of elemental wizards and dream wizards, as well as flesh and blood, has placed him at the formal wizard stage, or even higher.

However, the Seven-Colored Cloud Flower has the potential to become a stable source of extraordinary resources. If successfully cultivated, it would bring Wang Ya immense value, probably not much less than the special dream plant 'Ant Rice' that the Dream Wizard once possessed.

None of the Netherworld Wizard's inherited treasures are simple; the Seven-Colored Cloud Flower is just one of the three items he took out.

The Mirror of Immortals is a must-see target.

The remaining one was a mask with a metallic texture and an entirely black finish.

Named "The Mask of Obsession," it is not a witchcraft artifact. It contains no witchcraft arrays or witchcraft techniques. At most, it is made by cutting a whole piece of obsession ore into the shape of a mask.

Submerged minerals are extremely special and rare. Even in legendary times, only a very few people had ever seen them, and there are some records of them in historical books.

The Eye of Truth has collected this part of the information and knowledge, which is why Wang Ya is able to know the information situation.

[Obsession Ore: Its origin is unknown, but it mostly comes from various worlds within the Cthulhu Mythos civilization. Small amounts of Obsession Ore exist within the core of the earth's ley lines. During the legendary era, wizards waged wars of conquest, acquiring many Cthulhu worlds and discovering Obsession Ore, which then began circulating within the wizarding civilization.]

[Details: Using extraordinary mental power to infiltrate can directly leave a preliminary mental imprint. Consuming mental power can activate the special pheromones existing within, which can conceal one's aura, blend into nature, and give the sensory feedback of flowers, plants, and trees. Those below the fourth level of wizarding cannot see through it.]

In some respects, the value of the Indulgence Mask is not much less than that of a Netherworld Sword.

Of course, if he could obtain the Netherworld Sword, he would be willing to give up the Mask of Indulgence.

I weighed the black metal mask in my hand. It had the texture of crystal, but it was almost weightless, like a leaf.

Wang Ya plans to modify it to completely replace the function of the Black Lotus Mask.

After planting the Seven-Colored Cloud Fairy Flower in the Demon Plant Cultivation Area, Wang Ya turned around and walked into the void.

When they reappeared, they were inside the castle, in their own level-one laboratory.

What we obtained from the Netherworld was far from enough.

The Spirit of the Relic and the Dark Wizard Puppet are trump cards comparable to the combat power of a level two wizard.

The remaining gain was a story told by the spirit of the ruins about a sorcerer of the underworld.

In the deepest room of the laboratory, there is a temporary storage vault containing Wang Ya's collection over the years. Many items have not yet been studied, but they have all been filed, along with preliminary hypotheses for related experimental research.

After advancing to the rank of official wizard, the transformation of the Dream Core is continuous and will soon reach a stage where significant changes will occur in the Dream Territory.

Some items inside the foam vault were moved out in advance.

Including the dream creatures he raised, Wang Ya also artificially created a dream gap connection in the three-layered space, where sufficient and stable dream power could be injected to maintain the survival of the dream creatures.

Click!

A wave of freezing air rushed out, and the heavily armed hatch opened, revealing a vast interior space.

The first thing that catches the eye is, of course, several huge nutrient tanks, which are always in operation and have plenty of nutrient solution. Through the glass doors, you can see the white and tender bodies inside with a steady, fluctuating heartbeat.

There were five nutrient capsules in total. The one in the middle had the most nutrient solution, the whitest and most tender skin, and a much smaller figure. Wang Ya had marked it specifically. This was an unexpected surprise he encountered when he went to the Tuta Kingdom to obtain the last piece of the evil god's origin.

The descendants of the Night Moon Elf royal family, who possess the bloodline of the Moon Goddess, have undergone preliminary testing and their bloodline concentration is extraordinary. They are among the elite of the elite within the royal family and are very likely the most direct lineage.

The value contained within is at least half of the Netherworld Sword.

If the secrets of the Moon Goddess's bloodline can be uncovered, Wang Ya might gain invaluable experimental experience and a better understanding of the extraordinary properties of higher-level beings.

The preparation experiment for breaking through to the fourth level of wizardry will greatly improve the completion rate.

A fully grown Moon Elf is comparable to a level four wizard.

Upon entering the vault, one finds some rare and extraordinary resources collected during the apprenticeship in the Dark Lands, resources that are not usually needed. Following these are copies of inherited knowledge obtained from the Black Sun Great Wizard, as well as information on various special particle energies.

Even Wang Ya's own book of Halak has been replicated here.

Located at the very center of the warehouse are the spoils from the Deep Blue Secret Realm.

On the erected stone platform lies a pulsating black heart, surrounded by countless eyes of various colors. These eyes are the storage of the power of rules, and the ripples of the magical array form a shield that restrains the internal clashes of rules. This is a fragment of the Book of All Things, along with several deep blue earthen figures sealed within nutrient tanks.

However, not all the natives were inside the storage room; there were only two nutrient tanks, one for Mo Tongying and the other for Chi Longzi.

When Wang Ya re-enters the Deep Blue Secret Realm, he will most likely collect all of its Level 5 superhumans.

The nine artifacts were naturally carried in the wizard's ring.

If it were taken out, the most valuable item in the vault might have to be repositioned.

When Wang Ya emerged from the vault, he held a white sphere in his hand. It appeared to be metal, or perhaps some kind of liquid—it could be liquid metal, though based on the information he had obtained from the spirit of the ruins, it was likely the inherited immortal treasure called the "Feathered Immortal Sword," now in the form of a sword pellet.

Once infused with immortal power and magical power, it can be controlled and transformed into a feathered immortal sword, possessing immense power.

This is one of the inheritances of the Ascension to Immortality; the rest are sealed inside a piece of jade, which requires a special method to open.

As the spirit of the ruins said, the inheritance of immortality may not be important to Wang Ya, but the extraordinary knowledge contained within it can serve as a basis for understanding other things.

The Hanging King also said that absorbing the fruits of countless civilizations to fill his own path as a wizard could accelerate the process of creating a new path as a wizard.

This is a process of accumulation, and it is also a necessary process to go through.

A cold glint flashed in Wang Ya's eyes. Without a doubt, the spirit of the ruins still held a great deal of hidden information—about the Netherworld Wizards, about the legendary civilization of the Immortal Realm, or even about this Feathered Inheritance, and even some secrets of the Dark Land. These were all things he wanted to know. Therefore, faced with the stubborn spirit of the ruins, he could only use this Feathered Sword Pill to employ some special methods.

Let memories awaken memories, thereby breaking down defenses and allowing you to see all the memory images you want to see.

The Nightmare Annihilation Mirror can do this, and incidentally, it can also completely shatter the mind's defenses, leaving a mental imprint and a soul seal, truly making it its master.

Snowflakes drifted down from the sky, covering the many buildings in the dark place in a blanket of white. The arrival of winter also signified the approaching end of the year.

This year was exceptionally special. The Battle of White Lake took place in this year, that being also returned in this year, causing many repercussions, and the High Council of Dark Wizards was also held in this year.

Perhaps we should add one more thing: the wizards on the street strolled along, stepping over the snow while avoiding trampling the maple leaves that were falling with the wind and snow.

Mona tiptoed down some bottles and jars from the cabinet and sorted them.

She seemed to be selecting and searching for something.

The wind chimes swayed, their crisp, melodious sound carrying a chilly breeze into the shop.

"We are not open today, I'm sorry, dear customer."

Mona said without turning her head that there were no employees busy in the aisle; she was the only one who had come to the store for some reason.

"I have some Spirit Summoning Grass, I brought it to you in advance, and Nightmare Powder as well."

With a deep voice and a tall stature, Hades Antoon was even more robust than before, showing signs of gaining weight, and his eyes held the vicissitudes of life that came with many trials.

"Brother," Mona called out, a smile appearing on her face, as she took the corresponding bottles and jars from the other person's hands.

Hades' eyes showed a hint of helplessness and reluctance as he said, "You don't need to put so much pressure on yourself. I believe he will understand."

"I know, but things are different now." Mona hesitated for a moment, her tone somewhat complicated.

Hades fell silent. Yes, things were different. Although he had anticipated this day, he hadn't expected it to be so difficult to get used to when it actually arrived.

Most importantly, it's been eighteen years! A full eighteen years!!

Whether the previous alliance still held true, and whether the other party would acknowledge it, even the father, who bore the heavy responsibility of the Anton family and was always farsighted, could not give a definite answer. For the first time, he showed a bewildered expression in front of him.

Contrary to his earlier assumptions, his father was not as confident and assured as he had always thought.

The wind chimes rang again, and the three figures at the door all turned their gazes toward them.

Zak'Anton smirked, clasped his hands in a fist salute, and stood behind Kaze'Anton, seemingly lost in thought. His face occasionally flashed with anger as he waved his fists, followed by a look of helplessness and dejection.

Standing on the other side of Kaze Antu'er, with a somewhat ingratiating smile on his face, Daben Antu'en asked Mona, "How did it go? That lord should have contacted you, right? What exactly did he say? Did he mention the Antu'en family?"

Kazeantun coughed and said to Mona, "Don't worry about Big Ben, let's go to the Dream Clan's party to celebrate the return of the Nightmare Wizard."

"Those who can come should be the remaining wizards of the Dream School, as well as some friends or acquaintances of the Nightmare Wizard."

Their presence in the invitation list suggests that the covenant should still be in effect, and that the Nightmare Wizard has not forgotten them and still remembers them.

However, he was no longer the Nightmare Wizard he had been during his apprenticeship, and this was the first time Kazeantun had felt so uneasy.

An invitation from a formal wizard! Even the Stark family, the number one of the ten great houses, did not have such an honor as to be personally invited by a formal wizard.

From the Ancient Forest to the Dark Lands, the greatest opportunity the Anton family has encountered along the way may not have been the legacy of the Black Sun Wizard, but rather the friendship they gained with the Nightmare Wizard.

Kazeanton was very excited and gave Zacanton some stern instructions on his way to the Dream Tower.

"Stop with your little schemes, Zack. Everyone knows it's written all over your face."

"Within the family, no one cares about your thoughts, but outside... Nightmare Wizard is a formal wizard!!"

Kazeantuan emphasized the last four words.

Looking at his son's increasingly pale yet still stubborn face, Kazeantun sighed and said, "People are different. Some people are destined to stand at the top and can only look up to others, spending their whole lives chasing after their shadows."

Zac Anton remained silent, his nails digging into his flesh, his eyes still burning with fighting spirit.

He won't give up. So what if he becomes a formal wizard? One day he will catch up and surpass that destined enemy!

The Autumn and Winter Wizard wore a joyful expression, followed by two members of the Dream School. In eighteen years, she had never been so happy.

The steps underfoot inevitably became lighter.

"You two go to the Deadwood Wizard and the Thorn Wizard and send them invitations. Make sure the two official wizards receive them. This time, the Dream School must hold a grand celebration banquet."

"Understood, second place in autumn and winter."

Two wizards from the Dream School went in different directions.

The Autumn and Winter Wizard clutched the invitation tucked into his sleeve, a slight smile playing on his lips, and headed toward the location of the Divine Blood Tower.

Although for wizards, messages can be sent simply by using a wizard's mark.

However, sometimes it is necessary to send someone to visit and issue an invitation.

The autumn wizard suddenly slowed his pace, and his face became particularly gloomy. Several wizards were walking towards him on the street ahead, chatting and laughing with each other.

One of the figures completely turned the autumn wizard's good mood into a bad one.

When the other party saw the Autumn and Winter Wizard, they were also taken aback, and their expression became complicated.

The Autumn and Winter Wizard snorted coldly, his face frosty, and walked past the group.

"What's wrong, Wizard Victor? Do you know that wizard from earlier?" Several wizards from the White Bone School glanced at Wizard Autumn and Winter's retreating figure and asked curiously.

"It's nothing. We did know each other, but it's all in the past. I was just thinking about some small things." Wizard Victor's face looked particularly unnatural, which the other wizards noticed, but they didn't press him for details, as if they didn't want to offend him.

Near the Divine Blood Tower area, the dense forest has gradually thinned out, and the closer one gets, the more noticeable the temperature differences become.

The autumn and winter wizard walked quickly, his face ashen, his mind subconsciously recalling the past.

"Victor, Victor, have you ever regretted it?"

"No, it's too late for you to regret it now. When the Dream Sect needed you the most, you left. If the Dream Wizard had known you were an ingrate, he shouldn't have sponsored you in the first place."

Whether it was the disappearance of the Nightmare Wizard or the injury to the Illusion Wizard, these were blows to her time and time again.

The departure of the wizard Victor nearly drove her to the brink of collapse.

Even greater pressure rests on the wizard, Kolan.

Instead, it was through the other party's persuasion that I was able to get through it.

"You will never come back, Vidor. No matter what price you pay, the Dreamline will never let you return, and the Nightmare Wizard will never let you return either."

The autumn and winter wizard gritted his teeth, his emotions running high with anger.

Looking at the distant outline of the mountain of knives and sea of fire, the Autumn and Winter Wizard composed himself, forced a smile, grasped the invitation in his sleeve, and stepped into the range of the magic array of the Divine Blood Tower.

Inside the second floor of the Dream Tower.

A red carpet was laid in every corner of the space, filling every nook and cranny.

The wizard puppet, dressed in a maid's outfit and with bionic skin, looked as lifelike as a real person. It carried various plates and moved back and forth between the gaps in the dining table, placing dishes on it.

A large white candle sits in the center of the table, burning with a black flame.

Silver plates, white cutlery, and every wizard seated with their backs ramrod straight, had abandoned their usual wizard robes in favor of casual shirts or expensive gold-plated suits.

Besides the wizards from the Dream School, the participants in the celebration also included some relatively influential apprentice wizards from the Blood School, the Deadwood School, the Eagle School, and the Thorn School.

At worst, they would have a second-place position.

As the host, Wizard Kolan took the initiative to maintain the atmosphere of the banquet.

The Autumn and Winter Wizard was helping her, determined to make this banquet a complete success.

Both were well aware of the implications for the reputation of the Dreamline and the future development of the Dream School. The wizards who came to the banquet were destined to stand on the side of the Dreamline in the future, and they would be on good terms with each other.

Formal wizards do not eat on this level, but on a higher level, and all participants are formal wizards.

"Master, look! The banquet is mostly attended by members of the lineages of various wizarding schools. I even saw the chief wizard of the Thorn lineage, Night Orchid, and the new chief wizard of the Withered Wood lineage, Green Demon. And that one, that's Gagarin, the chief wizard of the Divine Eagle school!!"

The Anton family was seated in a slightly remote location, occupying only a corner, and only members of their family were seated there.

Although Daben Anton spoke softly, everyone present was a powerful wizard, so how could they not hear him?

The wizards of the Dream School, in particular, smiled knowingly.

Kazeantun regretted bringing too many people. Mona was a must-have, and Ben should have stayed with his family instead of embarrassing himself on the Nightmare Wizard's territory.

The Anton family finally had a chance to enter the eyes of the major lineage wizards, but the impression they left was so shameful.

If he could, he would sew up Big Ben Anton's mouth right now.

"Why don't we see King Yahalak? Where did he go?" Zak'Anton muttered under his breath, trying to find the familiar face in the crowd.

Before Kazeantun could react, Hades was nearly scared to death and quickly reached out to cover his brother's mouth.

"You have quite the nerve. You dare to address a formal wizard by his full name. That's far too presumptuous."

Upon hearing this, Mona's face fell, and she gently stirred her milk tea with the spoon, looking preoccupied. Kazeantuen noticed this.

He didn't have any good solutions to this; he was already fortunate to be able to attend the banquet thanks to the Nightmare Wizard.

If they were to be so foolish as to ask to see the Nightmare Wizard, the other main lineage wizards would probably laugh at them.

"Mona, don't leave after dinner. Let's meet at our usual spot."

The message came from the Dark Wizard's Mark; Gray was also seated in the arena, but in a position belonging to the Eagle lineage, next to the Eagle Chief Gagarin.

In terms of status, only the second-place candidate can receive such an honor.

When Mona looked over, Mas, who was sitting next to Gray, gave her a smile.

"It's a message from Wang Ya. Same place as always, the location is already set."

For some reason, Mona felt a surge of warmth in her heart; this was probably the meaning of the word "friend."

However, she couldn't show the slightest smile; her eyes flickered, and she even seemed somewhat dazed. She thought of the respected Nightmare Wizard. Eighteen years had passed; was he still well? Had he not changed at all?

Mona felt a little guilty, inexplicably uneasy about the end of the party, and even more hesitant about the old place she used to frequent.

"There's good news and bad news. The good news is that the Natural Ring Tower seems to have temporarily halted its attack and is gathering strength. A large number of wizards have gathered in the border wizard city, attempting to cross the Apollo Mountains. It's still unknown when the enemy will launch a full-scale attack. But overall, we have more than ten years, or perhaps more."

Inside the second-floor space, warm lighting illuminated the room. At the wooden dining table sat the Blood God Wizard, the Deadwood Wizard, the Thorn Wizard, and Freddy Wizard, who was sitting at the very back, specifically targeting Wang Ya.

The one who brought this bad news was the Blood Wizard. His expression was solemn as he continued, "The bad news is that the Mountain and Sea Alliance meeting plan targeting the Natural Ring Tower has failed. Other wizarding forces received the information but have not reacted at all, nor do they intend to participate."

"If nothing unexpected happens, we will face the Natural Ring Tower head-on, turning it into a life-or-death struggle between two wizarding factions."

The other official wizards also looked rather grim. No one likes war, especially with an extra decade or so, which allows both sides to gather and deploy their wizarding forces, making the battle even more brutal.

Freddy the Wizard's lips trembled. He was not good at combat. On the contrary, he hated war and even feared it. Otherwise, he would not have sought out Nightmare Wizard during his apprenticeship. For a qualified potion wizard, combat ability is not necessary.

"They're all smart people. A natural ring tower violating the Mountain and Sea Alliance is certainly something everyone should attack. But if we only target one wizarding faction," Wang Ya sneered, "the difference between losing one wizarding faction and losing two is obvious. The latter is more beneficial to them."

"Trying to reap the benefits? Not so easy." The Blood Wizard spat, his saliva landing on the floor.

The wizards present noticed this and their eyebrows twitched slightly.

"I will go to find the Darklight Wizard to arrange the specific details of the battle plan. We don't have much time left. I have a feeling that within twenty years at most, a full-scale war involving the entire wizarding force will break out between the Dark Lands and the Natural Ring Tower."

Night after night, a tavern.

When Wang Ya pushed open the door, three pairs of eyes in the room looked over at him simultaneously, each carrying a different emotion.

"haven't seen you for a long time!"

With a smile on his face, Gray stepped forward and punched Wang Ya in the chest.

Mas, however, remained mature and composed, a smile playing on his lips, as he sat on the sofa and pushed over the frog-leg wizard-flavored drink that belonged to Wang Ya's generation.

Mona wore an ill-fitting black wizard's robe, but her full figure was just right.

Everything was the same as before, without any change.

Eighteen years have passed, and nothing has changed.

The four of them exchanged glances, and although they didn't speak, they all understood each other's thoughts.

They raised their glasses to each other, clinked them together, and then drank it down in one gulp.

Mona's eyes were shimmering with tears, as if she had many thoughts she wanted to say, but looking at the Nightmare Wizard whose aura was more ethereal and whose status had changed, she ultimately kept quiet.

He just stared at Wang Ya's fair and handsome face and finished the wizard's drink in one gulp.

Wang Ya met Mona's gaze, a gentle smile playing on her lips, and nodded slightly.

Time always flies by, and while getting together is difficult, parting is as simple as going our separate ways.

Dim light streamed in through the open door; Gray and Maas had left earlier, leaving only the two of them.

"Wait!" Mona called out to Wang Ya, who was about to leave.

She blinked her beautiful eyes and said in an annoyed tone, "Does the esteemed Nightmare Wizard fear a mere apprentice wizard like me?"

"After being a hands-off manager for eighteen years, they don't even appreciate the hardships I endure as the shop owner."

Mona kept saying things that were important, yet also seemed unimportant.

The two sat on the sofa in an awkward atmosphere. The warm lighting made their faces appear unusually rosy, perhaps due to the wizard's wine they had drunk.

Mona talked a lot, about the shop, about herself, about the Anton family, about Mas and Gray, about everything that happened at headquarters. Wang Ya listened silently, holding the wizard's drink in his hand. The liquid in the glass rippled gently as it was poured, emitting an alluring luster.

In the end, Mona didn't know what she wanted to say anymore and fell silent.

After a long while, he took some things out of the wizard's ring and placed them on the table.

With Wang Ya's keen eyesight, he naturally recognized what these things were: Spirit Summoning Grass, Nightmare Powder, Warm Spirit Dew, and Black Awakening Wood. Wang Ya felt his breathing become somewhat labored; these were all extraordinary resources that he had mentioned needing during his apprenticeship.

There are even one or two extraordinary resources that belong to the entry-level category, corresponding to the formal wizard class.

It cannot increase physical stats, nor can it increase mental stats.

It mainly aims to nourish the soul, stimulate the spirit and will, and activate the resonance between the body and soul. That's right, these are all things needed to revive Green Forest. Mona has always kept them in mind, and even during the eighteen years he was away, she maintained Harak's shop and collected related extraordinary materials.

Some of the rare and extraordinary materials are so precious that even half a year's revenue from Harak's small shop might not be enough to buy them.

Furthermore, without him providing some dream creatures, their core competitiveness would be reduced among the many products offered by the headquarters.

Mona seemed to see through Wang Ya's thoughts and said softly, "I'm not stupid. I can always find a way. I invited the wizard Kelan to join the Harak Goods Store and also let the Anton family invest a small portion. Even if you're not here, I will make sure everything is done well."

"Although everyone's saying you're dead, I've never believed it!"

He pushed all the bottles and jars on the table toward Wang Ya.

Mona's joy was genuine, and she smiled brightly, her eyes sparkling with affection. "Look, you're back! I've found everything you wanted."

Wang Ya was stunned for a moment, a strange feeling inexplicably arose in his heart. He stared at the many extraordinary materials in front of him, opened his mouth as if to say something, but couldn't say anything.

Looking up, she was met with those blue eyes that seemed to hold the gentle warmth of autumn water. Her hair fell down, and Wang Ya, as if possessed, reached out and touched Mona's tender skin and beautiful face with her slender, fair fingers. She gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

Mona let out an "Eh," blinked, and her cheeks flushed red to her ears, as if she had returned to the time when she was a soft-spoken, always apprehensive girl in the ancient forest mountains.

Wang Ya withdrew his hand at lightning speed, loading the extraordinary materials so quickly that Mona didn't even see it.

The door swayed slightly, and Wang Ya's figure disappeared into the room so quickly that Mona didn't even have time to react.

Only one voice echoed in my ears, "Thank you so much, shop owner. You've really helped me a lot. I'll give you a two-week vacation, and we'll reopen after the New Year."

Picking up a black wizard's ring from the table, Mona laughed under her extraordinary spiritual perception. "She even prepared the supply. What a stingy boss, not leaving a single kickback for himself."

"Wait a minute. It seems the boss isn't too stingy after all." Mona's smile widened even further.

At the entrance of the Dream Tower, Wang Ya's figure materialized, a hint of worry on his face—an expression rarely seen on him.

Before Wang Ya boarded the wizard's ship, he swore to revive Green Forest, and now he finally has that opportunity.

P.S.: I tried my best to fill in the plot holes I left behind. The romance wasn't too awkward, was it? *cough* If this doesn't work, I won't write anymore. (Or maybe another 10,000-word chapter? 20,000 words a day?)
