Douluo Continent: The Great Summoner Huo Yuhao

"Learning about soul tools?"

Wang Yan was stunned. He didn't understand why Huo Yuhao suddenly had this idea, even though he was currently building a conceptual model of both future soul masters and soul tools in another of his recent projects, "Gaining an Advantage Through the Concept of Future Soul Masters".

But to everyone's surprise, Huo Yuhao, a freshman who had only been in school for three months, had already started to care about soul tools.

It's important to understand that the prevailing opinion is that "soul tools are external objects, with a much lower limit than that of high-level soul masters, and are primarily beneficial to mid- to low-level soul masters."

The academy's attitude towards soul tools is that they can be considered as an alternative option for soul masters.

In other words, only support-type Soul Masters who are not valued, or Soul Masters who feel inadequate, would choose the inferior option of using Soul Tools.

"Yes, I want to use a soul tool to assist the Ice Sky Falcon, for example, to have it control the soul tool to carry out fire suppression from high altitude."

Huo Yuhao expressed his thoughts and then looked at Wang Yan seriously.

"Use a soul tool to assist..." Wang Yan fell into deep thought, while rapidly constructing a model in his mind.

"Indeed, this is very suitable for you." He had previously thought of using soul tools to assist soul masters, but Huo Yuhao, as a special mental soul master, could control soul beasts, but that didn't mean others could.

"But Yuhao, the idea of using soul tools to assist soul beasts might be unprecedented. I don't know much about the more specialized knowledge, but I can recommend someone to you."

Wang Yan smiled and then added.

"Go ask your teacher, Mr. Zhou; you might be pleasantly surprised. But remember, having ideas is good, but don't bite off more than you can chew. You're in a crucial period of growth right now, so you mustn't get too distracted. If you have any other ideas, I can help analyze them."

"Okay, thank you for your concern, Teacher Wang."

Is there a surprise for Teacher Zhou?

Huo Yuhao couldn't figure out what Wang Yan meant. Did she mean that Teacher Zhou had a lot of knowledge about soul guidance? He really hadn't realized that with her personality.

You really can't judge a book by its cover...

"Oh, right!" Huo Yuhao remembered something else. "Teacher Wang, I heard that you have done a lot of research on spirit beasts, so you must be very familiar with spirit fusion techniques as well."

"A spirit fusion skill? What's wrong, Yuhao? What's the problem? Just tell me."

Wang Yan was very curious as to why Huo Yuhao suddenly brought up the Martial Soul Fusion Technique. Could it be that...

Sure enough, Huo Yuhao's next sentence proved his guess.

"It seems that I have a martial soul fusion skill with Wang Dong."

Huo Yuhao still doesn't understand what the Martial Soul Fusion Skill with Wang Dong is, or how to control and release it, so he wants to ask Wang Yan.

"You and Wang Dong!?"

Wang Yan's pupils dilated suddenly; he also knew about Wang Dong's martial soul, the Goddess of Light Butterfly.

The Goddess of Light Butterfly wasn't exactly a secret in the academy's eyes, so the higher-ups didn't say much, and he pretended not to know.

And now Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong have a Martial Soul Fusion Skill!?

My God, what a strange and fateful encounter!

In other words, if the academy had previously revealed Wang Dong's Light Goddess Butterfly technique...

As for Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong, it would be difficult for them to cross paths, and naturally, they would miss out on their current Martial Soul Fusion Technique.

"Wait a moment, Yuhao. I'll go report your situation to the academy first. As for soul tools, you shouldn't learn them. Just let me know if you need anything, and the academy will arrange the handover with the Soul Tool Department. Right now, your most important task is to fully dedicate yourself to your martial soul and martial soul fusion techniques!"

After leaving these words, Wang Yan released his martial spirit and ran towards the direction of Sea God Lake without looking back.

……

Wang Yan couldn't find anyone in the inner courtyard or the Soul Arena. Just as he was wondering where the Dean and Elder Xuan could have gone, he unexpectedly bumped into Dean Cai Meier of the outer courtyard and was told that Yan Shaozhe was watching the battle in the freshman assessment area.

After going around in circles, Wang Yan finally returned to the second floor of the viewing platform in the assessment area.

Then, upon arriving, I saw Fan Yu looking helpless. After nodding and greeting him, I heard Yan Shaozhe and Qian Duoduo arguing inside.

"A spirit fusion skill!? Haha, Lao Qian, did you hear that? Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong have a spirit fusion skill, this is the number one person of the new generation I've been looking for! Alright, stop trying to get your hands on Huo Yuhao."

Yan Shaozhe couldn't stop smiling; this was a genuine surprise, based on the information he had gathered.

A marksmanship that hones one's spirit...

The first soul skill controls the shared vision of soul beasts, the second soul skill grants spatial abilities, and when combined with the vision of the Ice Sky Falcon...

When he was hunting for his second spirit ring, Ma Xiaotao and Wu Ming even managed to get him a 3,000-year-old Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear as a source of damage...

There are even Martial Soul Fusion Techniques now!

This is his precious treasure...

"Alright, alright, but since we're going to design a soul tool for him, we should at least communicate with Huo Yuhao to understand his needs... Besides, the Extreme Individual Soldier Project has already been approved, and Huo Yuhao seems quite suitable for it..."

Qian Duoduo looked dejected, but he still wanted to try one more time.

"Get as far away from me as possible! Making soul tools is fine, but if you delay Huo Yuhao's cultivation, don't blame me for turning on you and twisting your head off to kick around like a ball."

Yan Shaozhe stared at Qian Duoduo warily and threatened her fiercely.

"Fine, fine! You're bullying honest people, huh? Then forget about our Soul Guidance Department, Fan Yu, let's go! We're better off not staying in this lousy place."

Qian Duoduo was furious. They had been friends for so many years, and this guy just turned on her like that.

"I'll go and hand over the reins to Huo Yuhao. He's Zhou Yi's student, and I'm personally interested in his idea of using soul tools to assist soul beasts."

Fan Yu ignored the two deans throwing a childish tantrum. In any case, given Huo Yuhao's current situation, the two academies would basically have to cooperate.

"Let's go, Wang Yan, let's go find Huo Yuhao."

……

Huo Yuhao looked at the three people in front of him, feeling like he was being stared at as a rare animal, and for a moment he was at a loss.

"Your idea is very far-fetched, because the current soul guidance system is designed around human use in various scenarios. Although we have been working hard to make breakthroughs in the field of bionics at the forefront of technology, no one has really thought about designing around soul beasts."

Fan Yu's tone was not polite, and even a little stiff.

"To put it bluntly, the main force in the battle right now is people. Of course, if a situation arises in the future where everyone can cooperate with soul beasts, then your ideas might have some value for discussion."

A scene where humans and spirit beasts cooperate!?

Will it happen?

"Thank you for not directly denying my thoughts, but I do think there's not much difference between support-type soul beasts and support-type soul masters."

Huo Yuhao scratched his head, realizing that suddenly proposing the idea of customizing a soul tool for his soul beast was indeed quite presumptuous.

"Because my personal idea is to arm individuals with soul tools, or to integrate them, and then continuously upgrade them, allowing the soul tools and users to constantly adapt to each other."

"You mean starting from a prototype, and continuously upgrading the soul tool..."

Fan Yu seemed to be deep in thought, while simultaneously building a conceptual model in her mind to assess the feasibility of the idea. Undoubtedly, the design requirements were even higher.

From an execution perspective, if we need to reduce the design complexity, then let's continue down this path...

It will become two modes!

One is balanced growth, and the other is policy specialization.

No... perhaps we could consider designing a matrix, and then supplementing it with external specialized countermeasures...

"Yes... since Soul Masters can continuously level up and become stronger, it would be great if Soul Tools could also be upgraded, whether to amplify the user's own characteristics, provide enhancements, or serve as weapons... In short, it would be great if a level one Soul Tool could be gradually upgraded to a level nine Soul Tool..."

Huo Yuhao's eyes sparkled; wouldn't this save him a lot of money!

Fan Yu stared at Huo Yuhao and realized that the academy seemed to have overlooked the child's true value and potential.

Perhaps he will become a legend in the world of Soul Masters...

But in the world of soul guide technology, he was a great man who ushered in a new era!
