"Corrosion magic?"

Upon hearing this familiar name, Lynn was stunned for a moment, and then a surge of joy welled up in his heart!

Corruption: An instant-cast spell that corrupts the target, dealing a total of 40 damage over 12 seconds. Each cast costs 20 mana.

Lynn still clearly remembered the warlock's most basic and representative spell.

When he played the Warlock character, he would go to the cemetery next to Northshire Abbey to find the NPC and learn how to summon imps when he had just reached level four.

Before engaging in combat, cast Corruption on the opponent's head, and their health will automatically decrease. As the fight progresses, the opponent will eventually be eliminated. Similar to the "Shadow Word: Pain" spell when playing the Priest character, it is one of Lynn's favorite skills.

"Now I won't panic when I encounter enemies. I can secretly cast a Corruption spell on them and then do nothing. In no time, they'll only have half a health bar left."

For Lynn now, this is simply an assassination weapon. Without firing a gun or wielding a knife, the enemy will clearly feel their life force draining away, and in no time they will be writhing on the ground in pain, extremely weak, as if they were possessed.

As for the free attribute point, Lynn did not hesitate to allocate it to Endurance.

In this godforsaken place like Stratholme, survival is the most important thing to consider.

"Hey, Lynn, what are you laughing at? Why do you seem so happy?"

Mike asked curiously as he gathered up the spoils on the ground.

"Yeah, it's okay. We won 2 against 6, so it's normal to be happy."

He pointed to the spoils scattered on the ground, his smile growing wider and wider.

An average adult has about 10 points of stamina, which is equivalent to 100 points of health.

He only needs to cast Corruption once to reduce the opponent's health by half.

It's not fatal, but it's definitely useful in a fight.

"Pah, what bad luck! Besides the two gold rings on this fat black guy's head, his gold chain and the rings and earrings on his underling's hands are all fake, just gold-plated!"

After collecting the spoils, Mike spat angrily and cursed fiercely.

"And these two bags of white powder are the lowest grade... they can't be sold for much money at all. These thugs must be desperate for money to try and take advantage of us!"

The final tally came out, and everything combined came to roughly $2000.

The most valuable thing was actually Lynn's Glock, which could fetch at least seven or eight hundred dollars on the black market. More importantly, from now on, he finally had a firearm as a means of self-defense, which would greatly ensure his safety on the streets.

Now that he had upgraded, Lynn quickly checked his personal panel.

Even so, despite his growth, he never considered defaulting on the $1 debt owed to Carlos's gang. Although he was sharing the debt with Mike, he still needed to prepare at least $5000 for himself.

He had acquired a new warlock skill and a gun.

But the other side is, after all, a powerful and numerous gang. Going to fight them one-on-one is as dangerous as a level 30 character trying to solo Scarlet Monastery.

"While I can't openly deal with them, I can secretly cast some curses on them!"

Lynn tucked the gun back into his belt, no longer feeling as panicked as when Carlos Bonn's two men had held a gun to his head.

After dividing the spoils with Mike, they quickly retreated.

After all, this is their territory, and who knows when that fat black man might come back with a large group of people to seek revenge.

……

He now had a huge sum of $1652.5.

Lynn no longer felt the fear and embarrassment she had when she first transmigrated.

He was convinced that he possessed the truth and also had two very useful sorcerer skills and an antidote. In the remaining 12 days, raising another $3400 would be no problem at all.

Now I don't need to be as harsh and stingy with myself as I was with the original recordings.

The tent he was staying in was a very cheap, low-quality piece of equipment that was already leaking air.

There's no moisture-proof cloth underneath. If it rains again tonight, I might freeze to death on the street tomorrow.

Mike's tent wasn't much better off. It had been knocked down and hit by a homeless person wandering the streets before, and now one of its support beams was broken. One leg of the tent couldn't be secured at all, and wind kept blowing in.

The two discussed it and originally planned to go to the nearby "Zebra & Dog" store to buy a larger tent for the two of them to share.

But ultimately, at Lynn's suggestion, "Now that we have money, we shouldn't compromise ourselves," she followed the example of Jessica and Britney and found a basement apartment in an old building nearby to live in.

The basement was originally spacious, but now, due to the large number of guests, the landlord has divided it into several rooms with simple hollow walls. Each room is only 6 square meters and has no kitchen; the toilet is shared.

Inside, there was only enough room for a bunk bed, a small table, and two folding chairs that were so rotten they were about to fall apart.

Even in such conditions, it costs $500 a month, which is unaffordable for the average homeless person.

"Phew... I feel like I've finally come back to life."

The room contained an electric heater that Mike had previously retrieved from a trash can. The two sat on creaking chairs, huddled in front of this warm little sun like two tabby cats craving the warmth of the flame.

Mike, who had just sold the two gold rings to Old John for a fairly fair price, shivered contentedly as he took a big bite of his steaming hamburger.

"This is a place where people should live! The previous tent was just a plastic sheet, it couldn't keep out the wind, snow, or rain at all. I even despaired and thought I wouldn't survive the year..."

Listening to the sighs of his old friend whom he had only known for less than two days, Lynn held a cup of hot coffee and was also filled with emotion as he drank it.

At least they don't have to live in a tent anymore, but the $1 they owe Carlos Bonn hangs over their heads like a sword of Damocles.

Tonight's over, I have to go out and make money first thing tomorrow morning.

With 12 days left, the two of them are still short at least $6500. It seems they need to speed up the sale of the Gundam and the antidote!
