Douluo Continent: I, Long Aotian, will not be a supporting character.

Even Vina and Ye Guyi formed a team. Considering that both of them were Soul Master level, they formed a team of two, one for offense and one for support.

During these three months, Vina and Ye Guyi both leveled up, with Vina reaching level 36 and Ye Guyi reaching level 33.

Therefore, although there are only two people, the team of two Soul Masters, Vina and Ye Guyi, is definitely one of the class's trump card teams.

As for the other trump card, it is naturally Long Aotian.

Long Aotian was naturally going to participate in the freshman assessment as well. However, instead of forming a team, he chose to form his own group. This was the result of discussions between Lord Grim and the academy's dean of students, after consulting with Long Aotian. After all, Long Aotian alone could unleash the attack power of a high-level Soul King, essentially giving him the strength to sweep through the freshmen. Therefore, he would not form a team but instead participate in the freshman assessment as a lone individual.

The same thing happened to Jin Ni from Class 2; Jin Ni was also a one-woman group.

Lord Grim's goal is clear: with the combined strength of Long Aotian, Vina, and Ye Guyi, they should be able to secure a top-three finish, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

As for the first place, we'll only know when Long Aotian and Jin Ni fight again.

During these three months, when they occasionally had time to rest and relax, Long Aotian and Vina would take Jin Ni to stroll around the academy or the Heavenly Soul Imperial City. They would take Jin Ni shopping and eating, and Jin Ni even became obsessed with shopping. Every time, she would buy, buy, buy, buying a lot of random and miscellaneous things. Long Aotian could not stop her shopping desires.

As the little princess of the Star Dou Great Forest, she is not short of money. Every year, countless soul masters go to the Star Dou Great Forest to hunt soul beasts. Where there is life, there is death. The amount of gold coins dropped after a soul master dies is quite large. The soul beasts in the Star Dou Great Forest do not need them for daily life, so they all give them to Jin Ni. Now Jin Ni is a well-known rich woman.

Finally, the freshman assessment is about to begin.

The day before the assessment, after finishing the course, Lord Grim said, "Three months have passed since the start of the semester. You will now face your first student assessment. Only after passing the assessment can you officially become students of the academy and continue your first year of study. However, if you fail the assessment, you will be expelled from the academy."

"However, I believe that after these three months of learning, you will all have no problem passing the assessment. The team has already been divided up, and you have been given three months to get used to each other and practice in real situations. I hope you will perform well in the assessment."

"Not only do we need to pass the assessment, but we also need to strive for even better results to prove that our efforts over the past three months have not been in vain."

"Alright, next, I'll tell you the key points of this freshman assessment."

The rules for the freshman assessment are simple: all freshmen form teams to compete in pairs. The winning teams then compete in pairs again, and the losing teams also compete in pairs.

Winning a team battle earns one point. Teams are ranked based on their total points. The top 60% of teams pass the assessment, while the bottom 40% are eliminated and expelled from the academy.

Although Di'ao Academy is the royal academy of the Tianhun Empire, it is not a breeding ground for royal and noble children to while away their time. The academy has very strict requirements so that it can cultivate and deliver real talents for the empire.

Therefore, learning at Dio Academy is extremely brutal and intense. Only in this tense atmosphere can all students work harder.

This is fundamentally different from the Royal Academy of the Heavenly Dou Empire ten thousand years ago.

The first-year freshmen of Di'ao Academy consist of ten classes, with each class having about twenty teams. In total, there are 250 teams participating in the freshman assessment.

The college set up a total of twenty-five assessment areas, and conducted assessments of freshmen at the same time. That is, each area was divided into ten teams for assessment.

Lord Grim has already distributed the assessment numbers to all the teams in Class One. Long Aotian's assessment number is number one. The assessment numbers were assigned according to the class from first to last.

According to the assessment rules, Long Aotian is number one, and the team he will face in the first round is the team numbered 250.

The assessment finally began the following day.

After cheering Vina on, Long Aotian headed to his own exam area. On the way, he ran into Jin Ni. After asking Jin Ni which exam room she was in, Long Aotian and Jin Ni gave each other a reassuring and encouraging look before heading to their respective exam areas.

Long Aotian's test area was Test Area No. 1. When he arrived at the test area, there were already many students there.

After a while, the campus loudspeaker announced: "Attention all first-year students! Attention all first-year students! Please proceed to your respective assessment areas immediately to prepare for the new student assessment. There are only ten minutes left to enter. Being late will be considered a forfeit and you will be disqualified."

A loud broadcast rang out throughout the academy, its sound carrying to every corner of the campus.

All the first-year students couldn't help but become serious. Their first assessment was about to begin, and they were about to enter the examination room. It would be a lie to say they weren't nervous.

Soon, a proctor arrived. It was none other than Jun Moxiao, the homeroom teacher of Class One.

With Lord Grim's strength already at the Soul Saint level, he is absolutely confident in controlling the pace of the assessment and ensuring that no unexpected events occur.

Lord Grim walked to the front of the examination room, looked around the first examination room, and said, "There are ten teams in total, and they are all here. My name is Lord Grim, and I am the proctor for today's examination."

"Hello, Teacher Jun." All the students immediately greeted the teacher.

Lord Grim nodded and said, "Next, I will announce the rules of the battle. As the proctor, unless one side concedes, I will make my own judgment on whether either side has lost its fighting ability, or is about to encounter irreversible serious injury, death threat, etc. I will take action. The one I save will be eliminated from the competition."

"Furthermore, I want to remind everyone that although the assessment is important and you all value victory, you are all classmates, so you must not intentionally injure your opponents. Do you understand?"

"Understood, Teacher Jun."

Jun Mo smiled and said, "Alright, let's begin the formal assessment."

As he spoke, he took out a document, glanced at it, and said, "The first round of assessments for the freshmen will be between Long Aotian from Class 1 and the team of Xue Bao, Li Ji, and Du Juan from Class 10. Both sides may now enter the assessment area."
