Douluo Continent: I, Long Aotian, will not be a supporting character.

Mu Lian said, "The freshman assessment is over. You have all gone through many rounds of battles in the freshman assessment. Being able to pass the freshman assessment of Di'ao Academy shows that you are all promising talents. I hope that you can learn from the experience and lessons in the battles and turn what you have gained into your own strength. I look forward to you creating brilliance and achieving even better results in the second-year student assessment next year."

The crowd applauded enthusiastically.

The college's dean of students then announced: "The rankings for this freshman assessment have been determined. A week from now, the college will hold a first-year student assembly, at which time awards will be presented to the outstanding students who emerged from this assessment."

"Alright, dismissed!"

After passing the new student assessment, the students who passed and remained in the program took a break and enjoyed a week of relaxation. Those who failed the assessment completed their withdrawal procedures and left the academy during that week.

As for Class One, under Lord Grim's continuous theoretical instruction and practical training for three months, all members naturally passed the freshman assessment. In addition, the first and third place winners in the freshman assessment were both from Class One. In a short time, Class One became famous among the entire freshman class.

Soon, it was time for the first-year student assembly.

Only 60% of the original first-year students remained after the assessment, less than 500 people. These 400-plus people are all promising talents for the academy.

Mu Lian attended this important occasion as usual.

Once all students had arrived, the head of student affairs announced, "The first-year student assembly officially begins."

"Next, I will announce the final results of the first-year student assessment and the corresponding awards."

"Vina, Ye Guyi's team, who came in third place in this freshman assessment, step forward."

The two stepped forward at the same time and walked to the podium in front of the Dean of Students.

The whole audience erupted in applause.

"Second place, Jin Ni, please step forward."

Jin Ni stepped out of the line and walked onto the platform, standing beside Vina and Ye Guyi.

Applause erupted again.

The dean of students paused slightly before raising his voice and saying, "Now, please give a warm round of applause to welcome the champion of our first-year student assessment, Long Aotian."

Immediately, the entire audience erupted in enthusiastic applause and cheers.

As Long Aotian stepped onto the stage, the head of the teaching department smiled and gestured for Long Aotian to stand in the center.

Long Aotian stepped forward and stood between Vina and Jin Ni.

The Dean of Students said, "Next, I will announce the rewards for the top three. First of all, their common reward is that each of them will receive a month of training in the academy's secret realm."

"Secondly, each of them has one opportunity to request a spirit ring from the academy when they need one, and the academy will help them obtain a spirit ring of the highest age they can withstand."

"Furthermore, everyone will receive a prize: 10,000 gold soul coins for third place, 30,000 gold soul coins for second place, and 50,000 gold soul coins for first place."

"Finally, in recognition of the outstanding performance of the top three teams, the academy will also award them a special prize, which will be kept confidential by the academy."

As soon as the head of the teaching department finished speaking, all the students present exclaimed in admiration; the reward was indeed quite generous.

However, Long Aotian was not too concerned about the second and third rewards, but he was quite interested in the first reward.

Long Aotian had heard Vina mention the Academy's Secret Realm before. It was a place where the spiritual energy of heaven and earth was exceptionally abundant. The academy had transplanted and placed many rare and precious materials there, many of which could aid in cultivation. One month of cultivation in the Secret Realm was definitely equivalent to half a year of cultivation in a secluded courtyard.

As for the final reward, the academy kept it a secret. Long Aotian guessed, could it be a soul bone?

Overall, the academy is quite generous to outstanding students, and it doesn't hesitate to reward them.

The Dean of Students continued, "Next, please welcome Vice Dean Mu Lian to present the awards to our top three winners!"

Mu Lian walked up to Long Aotian and the others, picked up the medals and corresponding reward certificates awarded to the top three, and encouraged Long Aotian, Jin Ni, Vina, and Ye Guyi one by one.

After the awards ceremony, the head of the teaching department asked Long Aotian and the others to return to their teams.

Then, the Dean of Students continued, "The quality of this year's first-year students is particularly outstanding. I hope you will remain humble and continue your efforts. In view of the outstanding students who emerged in this freshman assessment, the college has specially approved a group of students to become core students. I will now announce the list."

At this moment, all the students were as quiet as chickens. After becoming a core student, they would receive preferential treatment from the academy's resources. Since it concerned their own lives, everyone listened quietly, afraid of missing their name.

"Core students: Long Aotian, Vina, Ye Guyi, Gu Tong, Chen Lu, and Mo Ruyi from Class One."

"Class Two, Jin Ni."

"Class 5, Hua Qingxin, Yu Shengjie, Le Yao'er."

Although Chen Lu and Gu Tong's team did not make it into the top four, they ranked fifth in the total score of the assessment, second only to the top four teams, and therefore were included in the list of core students.

As for Mo Ruyi, she is the support-type Soul Master in Chen Lu and Gu Tong's team. Her Martial Soul is the Jade Ruyi, which has excellent support capabilities.

"The students whose names I call will receive the title of core student and enjoy the academy's intensive training in the coming year."

"There are also some students whose performance is second only to the core students. The students will also list you as candidates for core students, and you can also enjoy some of the training resources of the students."

"The following is a list of candidates for core training."

The dean of students read out twenty more names, and the students whose names were called became excited. Although they were only candidates and not as good as the real core students, they could still receive some of the academy's resources, which was something to be excited about.

"These are the outstanding students who emerged from this freshman assessment. I hope everyone will take them as role models and strive to meet the requirements of a core disciple in their second year."

"Alright, this first-year student assembly is now over. Dismissed. You're all given a day off today. Have a good rest."

After everyone left, Long Aotian, Jin Ni, Vina, and Ye Guyi went to the Academic Affairs Office with the Dean of Students.

Upon arriving at the office, the Dean of Students said, "You guys are all very good. This is a special reward from the college for the top three."

As he spoke, the storage ring on the dean's hand flashed, and three pouches appeared in his hand, marked with the words "Number One," "Number Two," and "Number Three" respectively.

The skin pouch is also a storage soul tool. Some cloud patterns are engraved on the skin pouch, and you can feel the subtle soul power fluctuations on it.
