Battle Through the Heavens: Achievement System at the Start

After a moment, a series of hurried footsteps approached, and Gu Ni entered, handing Xiao Yao a crystal card and saying, "Sir, this crystal card is a VIP card from the Mittel family. As long as you hold this card, you will receive VIP treatment at any of the Mittel family's auction houses. In addition, the tax rate required for the auction will be reduced from five percent to two percent."

Xiao Yao reached out and took the crystal card, noticing that the Mittel family crest was also depicted on it.

Just then, a maid ran in from outside, carrying a plate with a storage ring and a green card on it.

"Sir, this storage ring contains twenty of the medicinal herbs you previously listed, and the other green card contains the 1.53 million gold coins you received from this auction. This includes the proceeds from the sale of twenty bottles of Foundation Establishment Elixir to the auction house. After deducting two percent for taxes, the medicinal herbs, and the money from this storage ring, the remainder is stored on this green card."

After taking the card, Xiao Yao put on the storage ring and said in a deep, resonant voice, "If there's nothing else, I can go now."

"Hehe, of course you can. If you need any resources in the future, you can come to our Mittel family. We will do our best to help you find what you need. Or if you need to auction any pills in the future, you can take care of the Mittel Auction House!" Gu Ni stroked his beard and said with a smile.

"Hmm." Xiao Yao responded casually, then walked out of the appraisal room and headed towards the auction house entrance.

Watching Xiao Yao's departing figure, the middle-aged man asked in a low voice, "Master Gu Ni, judging from the medicinal materials he needs, he's not going to refine a fourth-grade pill, is he?"

After withdrawing his gaze, Gu Ni glanced at the middle-aged man and said, "Hmm, his alchemy level is at least at the fourth rank. It's normal for him to buy these medicinal herbs. Remember, never offend this kind of person, otherwise even the Mittel family won't be able to protect you." After saying that, he turned and left.

After the auction ended and Xiao Yao successfully obtained the medicinal herbs, he returned to his small courtyard and pondered whether to refine the Blazing Flame Grass first or to refine the Grade 4 Qi Gathering Powder first.

A little girl dressed in blue walked over, looked at the smiling and adorable Xun'er in front of her, and said with a smile, "Girl, why are you back? Is the auction over?"

"Yes, before I finished, I saw a person wearing a black cloak. The person's back looked a lot like someone. Brother Xiao Yao, who do you think that person is?" After saying that, Xun'er's eyes curved slightly, like a pair of beautiful crescent moons.

After listening, Xiao Yao laughed awkwardly, "Haha, I didn't expect that even though I disguised myself so well, you still found out. Xun'er didn't tell anyone else, did she?"

Xun'er smiled and said, "Brother Xiao Yao, to be honest, you refined the Dou Zhe Pill and the Ju Qi Pill that appeared at the auction, right? You don't need to hide it from Xun'er. After all, Xun'er has been watching you refine medicine for the past few years."

"Well, actually, I handed those over to the auction house for auction," Xiao Yao said helplessly.

Seeing Xun'er's smiling face, Xiao Yao walked to the side, sat down cross-legged, and said to Xun'er, "Xun'er, I plan to start refining new pills. Please keep an eye on things for me and don't let anyone disturb me."

Xun'er looked curious, patted her chest, and replied, "Brother Xiao Yao, you can rest assured and leave it to me. You can focus on refining it. But, Brother Xiao Yao, could you tell Xun'er what kind of pill you plan to refine?"

"I plan to try refining a fourth-grade pill called Qi Gathering Powder, and see if I can succeed," Xiao Yao replied.

Xiao Yao took out a set of medicinal herbs from his storage ring. Four fifty-year-old Ink Leaf Lotus, two mature Snake Saliva Fruits, a twenty-year-old Spirit Gathering Grass, and a water-attribute level two magic core appeared beside him. Then he took out the Earth-grade Black Magic Cauldron (pseudo) that the system had previously rewarded him with.

Xun'er, resting her chin on her hand, was stunned when she saw the medicine cauldron that Xiao Yao took out. She quickly asked, "Brother Xiao Yao, could that medicine cauldron be the Black Demon Cauldron that ranked eighth on the Cauldron Ranking that day?"

Xiao Yao thought to himself: If Yao Lao heard this, he would definitely jump out and say that the real Black Demon Cauldron is with me.

Seeing Xun'er's surprised expression, he smiled and said, "This medicine cauldron is a replica of the real Black Demon Cauldron. You can see that the fire outlets on the cauldron are two fewer than those on the real Black Demon Cauldron."

After Xiao Yao finished speaking, he closed his eyes, and the flame temperature and time required to extract the essence of the fourth-grade Qi Gathering Powder appeared in his mind.

After a while, Xiao Yao opened his eyes. It was time. He picked up a black lotus with his left hand and threw it into the medicine furnace. He carefully used the flame to slowly extract the essence from it. The black lotus slowly turned into a ball of black liquid. The liquid rolled slowly in the flame, reflecting a faint luster.

Upon seeing this, Xiao Yao immediately increased the flame temperature. However, due to an unstable temperature control, most of the liquid turned into black impurities.

Xiao Yao removed the waste impurities from the cauldron and took out a new Black Leaf Lotus. This time, he finally controlled the temperature and calcined it into a deep black liquid only the size of a thumb.

Xiao Yao stopped the calcination and added the other three plants, refining them all into a deep black liquid. Finally, he fused the four drops into a large drop of liquid and then continued to calcine it with flames until it was the same size as the original liquid.

Finally, two ripe snake saliva fruits were thrown into the flames, turning into a bright green liquid. As impurities were removed from this liquid, it was then poured over the previous dark green liquid. The fusion of the two liquids produced a series of sounds, and as the flames forged it, a rough-surfaced nascent pill was formed.

Finally, a spirit-gathering herb that was about twenty years old and a level-two water-attribute magic core were thrown in together, and they were calcined with flames to remove impurities, and at the last moment, they were formed into a pill.

Xiao Yao examined the pill and, finding its quality unsatisfactory, continued refining it. During this process, he wasted several portions of medicinal herbs. Finally, after using up the remaining dozen or so portions, Xiao Yao successfully refined five high-quality pills; the rest were of poor quality.

Xiao Yao watched as the five slightly green pills with a hint of pale blue were placed into the prepared jade bottles. The rest were placed into lower-quality jade bottles, which he decided to auction off.

"Ding! Congratulations, host, you have successfully refined a fourth-grade pill and obtained the achievement of 'Fourth-Grade Alchemist'. You are also rewarded with all fifth-grade pill recipes and the attribute of mastery of fifth-grade medicinal herbs."

"Ding, congratulations to the host for successfully completing the third task: reaching the fourth-grade alchemist level before the age of eleven. The system will place the Fallen Heart Flame in the system space."

"Ding! Congratulations, host, you have achieved the 'Mastery of Alchemy' achievement. Reward: the combat skill 'Xingzi Secret'."

Xiao Yao looked at the two flames in the system space, one blue and one red, floating in the air. He thought to himself, "Once my cultivation level improves further, I'll refine one of them first."

Xiao Yao stretched and then got up to loosen his muscles, as if trying to shake off all his fatigue. His movements were fluid and powerful, revealing an indescribable confidence and composure.

He turned around, his gaze falling on Xun'er. Xun'er was resting her chin on her hand, looking at him intently, as if pondering something important. Her eyes were bright and deep, as if they could see right through him.

Xiao Yao walked over and gently patted her shoulder. "Xun'er, what are you thinking about?" His voice was gentle and kind, making her feel incredibly comfortable and at ease.

Xun'er looked up at Xiao Yao and shook her head with a smile. "It's nothing. I was just wondering what heights Brother Xiao Yao will reach in the future. I don't know if Xun'er can catch up with you."

Her voice was soft and pleasant, making people want to get closer to her.

Looking at her smile, Xiao Yao felt a surge of warmth in his heart. He took out a bottle of high-quality Qi Gathering Powder and handed it to Xun'er. "This is for you. Use it to break through to the Dou Zhe level when you are ready," he said in a deep and magnetic voice.
