Xiaoqian got into a taxi. She was wearing yoga pants that accentuated her perfect curves. The driver kept staring at her the whole way.

Xiaoqian pretended not to know anything and gazed out the window.

As the car passed an intersection, Xiaoqian's eyebrows shot up. She saw a familiar figure outside the window, as if she had just seen him before.

She stared longingly out the window, confirming that it was indeed Liu Zhongze, whom she had just bumped into at the door.

"When did he come out?"

With these questions in mind, the car turned at the next intersection, taking Xiaoqian to the nearby bustling commercial area.

Xiaoqian thought it was just a coincidence, but when she arrived at the corner of the street, Liu Zhongze, who had just been walking on the street ahead, suddenly appeared at the corner without warning.

Xiaoqian gradually realized something was wrong. She slowly connected today's unusual behavior with the man in front of her and actually came up with a reasonable explanation!

"Isn't he a human being?"

The taxi drove by again, heading towards the commercial street, which was still some distance away.

At this moment, Xiaoqian received a text message containing a legend about the village from a hundred years ago.

After Xiaoqian read the message, she found that Liu Zhongze had appeared outside the window again.

"what!"

Xiaoqian's sudden scream startled the driver, nearly causing him to crash into the car next to him. He hurriedly asked, "Hey, what's wrong?"

With a trembling finger, Xiaoqian pointed at Liu Zhongze outside the window and asked, "Big brother, can you see that person?"

"People? Where are there people?"

The driver's words made Xiaoqian feel as if she had fallen into an ice cellar, and her back was soaked with cold sweat.

She dared not look at Liu Zhongze again, afraid that he would suddenly turn his head and meet her eyes, and then he would keep bothering her all day.

She was a hunter before, wanting to savor the handsome appearance of the aloof male god.

She now feels like she's been transported into a horror movie, truly becoming the pitiful female protagonist who encounters the supernatural.

She had never felt this way before when filming, but when she saw Liu Zhongze today, she felt a chill, a coldness emanating from her heart!

After the car drove away again, Liu Zhongze accelerated and jumped into the private car next to him. This private car was rented by Xu Zhen. He stepped on the gas and arrived at the next street ahead of time.

That's right, this was a plan that Liu Zhongze and Xu Zhen had discussed. Filming had already started when Xiaoqian woke up.

During their discussion, Liu Zhongze and Xu Zhen realized that simply filming the arrival of night and the appearance of ghosts wouldn't be immersive enough. So, Liu Zhongze suggested gradually amplifying the sense of fear.

First, the door was pushed open, a trivial and commonplace event. Then, a glass was broken, which amplified Xiaoqian's subconscious unease.

Then there's Liu Zhongze, whom she doesn't usually see, but who suddenly becomes impossible to shake off. Each change is designed to make Xiaoqian feel a deeper level of terror, and also to allow the audience to better immerse themselves in the female lead's perspective.

Xu Zhen and Xiao Li sat in the front row, staring at a tablet screen that was playing footage of the taxi's interior. The taxi driver was also one of their men.

Locals don't solicit customers in ghost villages, so this taxi was initially created to prank Xiaoqian.

The driver wasn't attracted to Xiaoqian's beauty; he was more worried about being discovered.

The taxi arrived at a relatively quiet street just as the red light came on.

Startled, Xiaoqian kept glancing out the car window, worried about seeing Liu Zhongze again.

But things didn't go as planned. Not only did Liu Zhongze appear, but he also collapsed to the ground, with red liquid seeping from beneath him, and crawled towards the taxi.

Xiaoqian patted the driver's back several times, making the driver grit his teeth in anger.

He asked, "What are you doing?"

"Brother, something dirty is coming! Drive! Drive!"

The taxi driver had obviously seen Liu Zhongze's performance, but having been informed beforehand, he pretended not to see it even though he found the man strange.

He rolled down the car window, stuck his head out, and looked around as he asked, "What's dirty? There's nothing wrong with my car."

Xiaoqian patted the driver's back even harder. She didn't dare look at Liu Zhongze at all, and kept urging, "Quickly close the window, drive!"

"You're crazy, can't you see I'm waiting at a red light?"

The driver's lack of understanding chilled Xiaoqian to the bone. She opened her hand, which was blocking her eyes, a crack and glanced sideways at the car window.

A blood-stained hand tried to place itself on the car window, but slammed it down weakly, as if the hand had no bones and had been forcibly thrown up.

Xiaoqian mustered her courage and looked in the direction the palm was coming from. Liu Zhongze almost turned his head 180 degrees, staring at her eyes with a distorted expression.

She could sense the evil in Liu Zhongze's eyes; it was definitely not human.

Fear gripped Xiaoqian's entire body. She wanted to run but couldn't move her limbs. She wanted to shout for help but found that her throat was blocked by something, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't make a sound.

The light turned green, and the driver drove towards the commercial street as if nothing had happened. Since it was close to the commercial street, the road conditions there were not very good.

"ah!!!"

Only at this moment did Xiaoqian scream out her fear, nearly piercing the driver's eardrums. Even pedestrians not far outside the car could vaguely hear Xiaoqian's scream and glanced at her sideways.

Xiaoqian was panting heavily, the driver's complaints echoing in her ears, but her soul seemed to be frozen at the moment she saw Liu Zhongze, unable to return for a long time.

Are you sick?

The driver uttered a couple of symbolic curses and then continued to weave through traffic. He had specifically chosen the most congested road so that Liu Zhongze and the others could prepare.

After finally managing to drive the car into the commercial street, the taxi driver had just come to a stop when he heard Xiaoqian scream almost frantically from the back seat.

He had to cover his ears, but he had already noticed Liu Zhongze approaching out of the corner of his eye.

Xiaoqian's mind was completely focused on escaping. She frantically yelled, "Drive! Get out of here! Hurry!"

The taxi driver was very obedient and drove very fast this time, without encountering many red lights, and drove quite far in a short time.

When Xiaoqian came to her senses, she found herself back at the village entrance. This left her somewhat dazed, unsure whether what had just happened was real or just her imagination.

She opened the car door, so startled that she forgot to pay the fare. However, the driver didn't mind and stepped on the gas and drove away.

"Well done, I'll transfer the money to your company later."

"Boss Xu, this job is too difficult. My ears are still ringing. If I keep acting like this, I'm worried I'll go deaf."

Xu Zhen's voice came from the driver's phone. He smiled and said, "Don't worry, I'll give you an extra tip."
