Douluo Continent Chat Group: Building My Academy

Chapter 5, We All Have a Bright Future

"It's actually a hybrid version of the Pokémon world."

After reading Professor Oak's story, Flander pinched the bridge of his nose and said uncomfortably.

That Pokémon world actually combined Pokémon special manga, theatrical films, some game settings, and parts of the TV anime.

Professor Oak has two grandsons and one granddaughter. His eldest granddaughter, Nanami Oak, mainly appears in the games. His eldest grandson, Midori Oak, is a character from special episodes. His youngest grandson, Gary Oak, is a character from the TV anime.

Pallet Town also boasts a plethora of talented champions, ranging from the special episode trio to the TV anime duo, and even the protagonist of the Let's Go, Let's Go game—a total of five champions (even the five-minute champion is still a champion).

Ash and Red coexist, but Red is a special episode character, not the silent god of war from Mt. Silver from the game. Ash is the Rainbow Hero from the movie. There is no classic trio, but the true main trio still exists.

As a result, Professor Oak's Pokémon world story is very chaotic, and given that the Pokémon world is already quite complex, it seems even more dangerous.

Putting everything else aside, the legendary mythical beasts that appear in almost every region once a year are enough to make people tremble with fear.

While the legendary Pokémon in the Pokémon world may not be particularly impressive in terms of visual presentation, their designs are undeniably terrifying, and they are associated with several world-ending catastrophes.

Those are far more terrifying than the 100,000-year-old soul beasts here in Flanders. They can only affect a large area at most, far less than an entire world.

Not only did Flander think this way, but Dumbledore did too.

Dumbledore was deeply impressed after reading the story of Pokémon.

In his view, the people of that world were all like Hagrid, not only were they tough and resilient, but they could also get along well with the "Fantastic Beasts".

The magical creatures in that world seem to be much smarter and stronger than those on his side.

Dumbledore glanced at Fawkes, who was sleeping. At least among his creatures, there weren't many magical beings as intelligent as Fawkes, and there were practically no magical creatures capable of flooding land or evaporating oceans and thus destroying the world.

[Dumbledore has changed the access permissions for the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series of stories, making them accessible to everyone.]

Dumbledore: This is my story. Although no one asked me to, I want everyone to know about this old man.

However, this story is more accurately described as the story of Newt and Harry, so I've cut some parts about the children. What isn't mine, I have no right to share.

Dumbledore had secretly read the story of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," but because it was a story from the past, it didn't shock him; it only evoked nostalgia.

Following in the footsteps of the group members, Dumbledore slightly modified those stories beforehand, concealing the children's privacy, just as he said, what does not belong to him, he has no right to share.

[Flander: The right choice, Headmaster Dumbledore.]

Flanders agreed, explaining that he had previously set other people's stories to be visible only to himself for the same reason—if it's not his own, he has no right to share it.

Dumbledore is an honest man too.

After Flander clicked into this Dumbledore story, he discovered that although Harry's part had been cut, the main storyline remained unchanged.

This includes the presence of terrorists among the school's professors, the lurking of the Basilisk in the Millennium House, Dumbledore himself being insulted and berated, even his own death, and his confusing and complex youth.

Dumbledore didn't cut anything out about himself, good or bad; he believed he still had the right to share his story.

[Oki Yukinari: I didn't realize that Mr. Dumbledore's world was so dangerous?]

Oki Yukinari shook his head, feeling sympathy for each other's bleak future.

Dumbledore: ...

Touching his beard, Dumbledore recalled the story of Mr. Bigwood.

It seems your world is much more dangerous than mine. At least I don't have any world-destroying monsters here.

[Flanders: It seems we all feel this way; the future is both bleak and bright.]

Flander thought about his current world: bad news, Douluo Continent; good news, comic book version.

The protagonist is a normal person, even a charismatic and upright character, who is many times better than the protagonist in the original novel!

As long as we properly nurture those young people, we can weather the future crisis of divine selection.

Angels, Rakshasa...

Honestly, no one needs to criticize someone based on their stance on something as important as unification.

However, the act of ruthlessly slaughtering entire sects, eroding nature and devouring life, treating everyone except oneself as inferior, forcing all soul masters to join, and hunting them down to death if they did not, is indeed chilling.

"Angels are utterly devoid of holiness, while Rakshasa are undeniably terrifying and evil. If the Pope's lineage of the Spirit Hall were even slightly normal, they wouldn't be so repulsive."

Flander sighed, regardless of anything else, the Spirit Hall in his comic book world was indeed not a good thing.

No matter what, the papal lineage is a whole bunch of bastards who have to take the blame.

Grandfather is indifferent to all living beings, father is a master of seclusion, and granddaughter is a rare talent, but she is led around by family factors and is like a puppet.

Forget it, whatever the Spirit Hall is like now or in the future is none of his business. Right now, he's just a minor half-Soul Saint, and his goal is simply to open an academy that faces the world. It has nothing to do with him.

In truth, Zhao Wuji's relationship with the Spirit Hall was greater than his own, since he had indeed been hunted down by the Spirit Hall back then.

[Ding! Changes detected in the fate lines of group members Flander, Dumbledore, and Yuki Ooki]

[Basic gift pack has been distributed]

Just as Flanders was marveling at the unevenness of the world, an unexpected notification sound brought him back to his senses.

"Basic gift pack? What's that? A newbie gift pack?"

Flander was puzzled, after all, before he became a Soul Saint, this cheat had provided him with nothing and was just a decoration.

While enjoying the delicious candies Dumbledore had given him, Flander, his mouth full of sweetness, casually opened the gift bag, wanting to see what was inside.

[Ding! Your essence has been enhanced]

[Ding! Forbidden Godly Knowledge Has Been Taught]

hum!

The moment he opened the gift package, Flander's soul power suddenly surged, reacting violently as if a piece of sodium had been thrown into water.

Call ~

A gentle breeze swept by, and a pale blue energy wave spread for miles around.

All the creatures felt a lightness in their bodies, as if a slight breeze had brushed across their faces, but this feeling vanished immediately, like the wind, appearing and disappearing without a trace.

clack clack...

A series of crisp cracking sounds came from Flander's entire body.

At some point, he was already wearing a dazzling suit of armor, as green as a whirlwind and as blue as the sky, making him as eye-catching as a tornado.

"This is... the true form of the Martial Soul Bone Armor?"

Flander's heart trembled. That was the complete form of a Soul Master's Soul Bone, which was also the most terrifying weapon on this continent and the closest to a god.

But he has neither a soul bone nor has he received any divine revelation. Where did this come from?

Bang!

Just as Flander was puzzled, a soft sound rang out, and all the bone armor on his body vanished as if it had never existed.

His mind trembled slightly, just like when he opened the chat group and some knowledge automatically appeared. Flander had gained a lot of strange inheritance.

That was in a very distant era on this continent, an era before the gods appeared, forbidden knowledge for ascending to godhood!

Meanwhile, in the wizarding world, in the Hogwarts Headmaster's office, Dumbledore closed his eyes, sensing the surging magic within him, and calmed it down in the blink of an eye.

Dumbledore reached out his hand, glanced at Fawkes beside him, and let out a cheerful laugh.

Because at this moment, Dumbledore's outstretched hand was exactly the same as Fawkes's claw, and even the texture of the phoenix feathers on the upper part of the arm was exactly the same.

"Armanigus, a magical creature..."

Dumbledore, the former head of the Transfiguration course, blinked and sorted through the new knowledge that had appeared in his mind.

"All the magical manuscripts related to Hogwarts courses, including Transfiguration, Charms, Herbalism, Potions, and even ancient magic such as Neven and Dark Magic..."

The four founders, Merlin, and even that senior student…”

Dumbledore shook his head.

"This is truly a terrifying gift."

Meanwhile, at Professor Oak's lab in Pallet Town, the Pokémon world.

Professor Oak stared blankly at his glowing green hand, his mouth twitching as he uttered the word.

"The power of Viridian!?"

"And..." Professor Oak closed his eyes and sensed the additional knowledge in his mind.

"Forbidden knowledge from the ancient times of Pokémon?"
