The Burrow, the Weasleys.

"Ron, get up quickly. Headmaster Dumbledore is coming to visit us today. You'll be starting school soon, so you can't be so lazy."

"Quickly, get up, clean up, wash yourselves, wipe the dirt from the corners of your eyes, and appear before Headmaster Dumbledore in your best possible condition."

Early in the morning, Molly's voice as a mother echoed throughout the house. Fred and George, still half asleep, were shoved into the bathroom.

"Hey, Mom seems to have gotten a shock. We see Headmaster Dumbledore every semester, but when have we ever been this excited?"

"But not our little Ron. Mommy did this for him, which makes us so sad, doesn't it?"

Flander and George exchanged knowing glances as they looked at Ron, who had also been shoved in.

Ron was instantly under pressure. Although he knew that the legendary Dumbledore had not come here because of him, what if he was?

What if his performance doesn't satisfy Headmaster Dumbledore and he isn't approved for admission?

"Cheer up, lads, Dumbledore doesn't come to visit us in person very often."

Although the letter emphasized Ron starting school soon, you older brothers who are already in school should also set a good example.

Arthur, as a father, never said too much, leaving it at that.

Arthur laughed loudly, and Dumbledore glanced at him and laughed too.

At the Ministry of Magic, where Arthur works, almost everyone knows that Arthur is Dumbledore's friend.

Back in the years when Voldemort was rampant, Arthur and Molly were members of the Order of the Phoenix. Even Molly's two brothers, Fabian and Gideon Prewitt, were killed by the Death Eaters as members of the Order of the Phoenix.

To paraphrase a line from Harry Potter, the couple were Dumbledore's people from beginning to end.

After a few polite, joking exchanges, the Weasleys led Dumbledore into the Burrow.

It was a bit messy and crowded, but to Dumbledore, it felt like home.

"Child, where is your pet mouse?"

"You, you, you mean Banban?"

Before Ron could react, Dumbledore suddenly pointed his finger, and without even taking out his wand, a strange fluctuation appeared in the air.

The frantic, frantic squeals of a rat could be heard, and Scabbers, the Weasley family’s familiar rat, appeared, but this time it was quite different from its usual lazy self.

As if he had spotted some natural enemy, Scabbers didn't dare look at Dumbledore at all. He just ran wildly away from him like a madman until he realized that he couldn't escape no matter how he moved. Then he curled up and trembled like a helpless little mouse.

Percy couldn't help but ask, "This Scabbers is the one I gave to Ron, just an old and lazy mouse."

Dumbledore smiled at the bright-minded boy, a kind and wise smile that immediately dispelled Percy's unease.

"Although children have the right to know, I still have to warn them that what is about to happen may give them nightmares."

Arthur, and Molly, shouldn't you have the children away from home?

The couple looked at each other, instinctively believing Dumbledore and wanting the children to leave.

Percy and Ginny obediently left, but Ron stubbornly refused to go, as did Fred and George.

"This, this is my pet."

For Ron, who was at the bottom of the Weasley food chain and whose life was far better than Ginny's, Scabbers was one of his few sources of comfort.

As for Fred and George, they were just there to watch the show.

Seeing that they couldn't persuade the three, Arthur and Molly shook their heads. It was just a rat; what could be so scary about it?

A hint of apology flashed in Dumbledore's calm eyes behind his glasses; such things couldn't be hidden.

"So, I hope you can endure what's to come."

Dumbledore pointed his finger at Scabbers, unleashing a burst of magic that forcibly dispelled the Animagus transformation from Scabbers' body.

The rat's disguise was exposed, and under the shocked and terrified gaze of the Weasleys, Scabbers slowly grew larger and larger.

Then a short man with thinning, dull, unkempt hair and small bald patches appeared before them.

His hair was gray, his skin was pale, and he had a pointed nose on his rat-like face. He was missing an index finger on his right hand.

When Arthur and Molly's gaze fell on the man's face, they spoke almost simultaneously.

"Pettigrew!?"

With a loud bang, the door opened, and Percy and Ginny, who were hiding behind it, fell to the ground, their faces filled with terror.
