Chapter 64, Come On, A New Beginning

"Headmaster Dumbledore, you're too kind! If you ask me, they should be sent to Azkaban for treating Harry like this!"

Sirius muttered to himself, and even with Harry holding his hand, his grumbling couldn't be stopped.

As a child, Sirius Black simply found it amusing to have Snape confront Lupin, who had become a werewolf. While Sirius may not be without a sense of justice, he was certainly cynical.

Especially towards those he hates, he truly wishes they were dead.

Lupin remained silent, but gave Sirius a heavy slap, causing him to scream.

"Perhaps," Dumbledore smiled, but then simply looked at Harry with a smile.

"Ready for a new life, Harry? It's going to be a wonderful adventure."

"certainly!"

Harry had already left the Dursleys' house with these strangers who made him feel incredibly close to them, and the sun outside was shining warmly.

"but……"

Looking at the lean but handsome Sirius, the kind and gentle Lupin, and then at Dumbledore who made him feel at ease from the bottom of his heart, Harry still couldn't help but have questions in his heart.

"Can you first tell me why you know me, and what my parents went through?"

"this……"

Not to mention Lupin, even Sirius hesitated slightly, unsure whether they should tell the child about the past tragedy.

"sure."

Dumbledore smiled; he had long since learned to trust children.

"But first we need to find a quiet place, preferably with some desserts."

With a playful laugh, Dumbledore never hid his hobbies.

dessert?

Harry patted his stomach; he rarely ate, but now he could eat a lot.

……

"Try it, the most famous snack in the wizarding world, the Chocolate Frog. Harry, you might really like it."

"Thanks."

Harry took the chocolate frog, recalling the earlier scene in his mind.

Arriving at the train station, he bumped into the wall and entered, where he saw a completely new world: wizards in robes, owls flying around, and all sorts of wonderful and pleasant sounds, with the air filled with the aroma of meat and a hint of sweetness.

They arrived at a bustling tavern, where the sounds of heavy drinking echoed. The three adults booked several nice rooms and took him to stay.

Following Dumbledore's example, Harry grabbed the chocolate frog that was trying to jump away. He was initially shocked, but then he realized that they were wizards, so it wasn't surprising.

Harry took a bite out of the chocolate frog's head, chewed, and savored the aroma and sweetness in his mouth, his eyes closing comfortably.

"Let me see, Harry, what good cards you can get, with your luck..."

Sirius Black was itching to open the wizard card that came with Harry's first Chocolate Frog.

"Oh my God."

Upon seeing the scene before him, Sirius closed his eyes in anguish.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, I swear to God, this is the situation I hate most about you being around."

Harry's first Chocolate Frog Wizard Card was actually a Dumbledore Card.

"Me too."

Dumbledore also lamented that the Chocolate Frog manufacturer always printed so many of his cards, making it difficult for him to collect all the wizard cards.

"Grandpa Principal, is that your card?"

Harry took it in surprise, then glanced at Dumbledore a few times.

Sure enough, he's a famous old man!

"Yes, this is my proudest honor," Dumbledore said happily.

"That's the honor that chocolate frog eaters hate the most," Sirius casually added, only to be pulled away by Lupin.

"Alright, let's get down to business, Harry. What would you like to know about your parents and what happened?"

Dumbledore straightened his expression, looked at Harry, and his eyes showed kindness.

"How...how did they die?"

This was the question Harry cared about most. Every time he asked his aunt and uncle, their answer was always the same: a car accident. They would get impatient if he asked any further.

"It stemmed from a shameful betrayal."

Sirius Black and Lupin clenched their fists simultaneously, and Dumbledore began to speak.

From Voldemort's past rampages to the Order of the Phoenix's struggle against him, to Harry's parents' growth, Harry fought against Voldemort three times and escaped, finally being killed by Peter Pettigrew due to his betrayal.

"At that time, your parents both hoped that they could survive, but their biggest worry was you."

Lily used the magic of love to make Voldemort experience his own suffering, and he disappeared from the world. You were thus known as the child who survived.

However, this magic comes at a price: you must spend a certain amount of time each year near your closest relatives in order to maintain the magic.

Sirius wanted to take care of you, but I refused, and I also want to apologize to you, Harry.

Harry didn't respond; he was still immersed in his parents' story. So, his parents were heroes, and he was able to live because of them.

Voldemort killed his parents and was also injured by his mother's magic.

Harry's gaze shifted, and he instinctively looked at Sirius Black, whom he trusted implicitly.

Sirius was silent for a moment, then nodded. Headmaster Dumbledore was absolutely right.

Finally, Harry spoke, "Those ten-odd years in Azkaban must have been painful, Godfather."

Harry and Sirius see James in each other.

Putting himself in Sirius's shoes, Harry knew from Sirius's tone and attitude that Sirius loved him. They were complete strangers before, so such love could never be without reason, and could only come from his father.

Harry could hardly believe that his best friend would die because of his own mistake, and that he would be stigmatized and imprisoned for more than a decade.

"No, I'm fine, just bored. Dementors have no effect on me. On the contrary, you, Harry, must have suffered a lot these years."

The godfather and godson embraced, each wanting to lick the other's wounds.

As Dumbledore watched this scene, he felt both more apologetic and relieved.

This is what he wanted to see, and what he wanted to resolve!

"Headmaster Dumbledore, my parents..."

"Without a doubt, they are heroes in the fight against evil, in the fight against Voldemort."

"I think of the place where they grew up, and I want to become a good wizard, just like them."

At this moment, Harry was filled with determination.

"That's why we're here. You're a gifted kid, Harry."

Dumbledore took out the Hogwarts invitation and personally handed it to Harry.

"Now, Hogwarts invites you, young wizard, to come to school."

"yes!"

Harry took it, as if he were taking the world.

"These days, let your godfather and Professor Lupin guide you here to learn what the lives of wizards are really like."

"yes!"

"Wait, Headmaster." Sirius suddenly noticed something amiss. "What's this Professor Lupin?"

"Literally." Dumbledore winked at Lupin, who had been secretly glancing at Harry.

"I have invited Lupin to become the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts."

"Hey, that's not fair! Why does Lupin get to stay with Harry at school all the time!"

"No, that's fair."
