Douluo Continent Chat Group: Building My Academy

Chapter 9, Zephyr: People like Garp deserve to be frozen.

"Zeff, what's wrong with you, you bastard? Do you want to fight me?!"

On the dog-headed warship, Garp rubbed his shiny black eyes and said irritably.

Zefa is not like Monka; this punch will cause more damage than a laceration to his chest.

"I only punched you because you were a young person who could have walked the right path but ended up going astray!"

Zefa's face darkened, and he said irritably.

Luffy, Ace, Sabo, Kuzan... oh, and who else, Kobe, right?

Oh, and we should also add Doraga.

Six rising stars, the beacons of the future, and what have you turned them into?!

Pirates, pirates, and more pirates! The rest are either traitors or traitors. The only survivor, despite his talent, turned out to be a deserter at heart!

What have you taught me?!

Zephyr grew angrier the more he thought about it. He knew Garp was a carefree and easygoing person, but he never imagined that he would be so careless that only half of his six disciples remained!

Even a prodigy shouldn't be like this!

You damn old popsicle!

Zephyr stared at Garp, recalling Kuzan, the guy in the story who, like Borsalino, was a traitor to his master, but he felt a great sense of satisfaction.

You old codger, you deserve to be frozen! You're supposed to be frozen!

"you……"

Garp's anger subsided instantly. He roughly knew what Zephyr was talking about, Dragon...

"Garp, I'm asking you, how old is your grandson exactly now!"

Setting aside all other thoughts, Zephyr stared intently into Garp's eyes and asked with extreme nervousness.

Please!

"I know Dragon... Ah, grandson, grandson-grandson, you mean Luffy?"

Garp's pupils suddenly dilated, and he stammered in response.

"Of course! You bastard, you've only told me about this one grandson, haven't you? What, you have others?"

Zephyr understood Garp's thoughts, but now was not the time to say them.

Ace, Roger's son, and Garp's grandson...

"Yes, there is a larger one."

Garp's words were somewhat ambiguous; he didn't mean to hide Ace's intentions, but he also didn't want to bring them up himself.

"I don't recognize the older one. Tell me, how old is your grandson named Luffy?!"

Garp didn't want to say, and as an old friend, Zephyr could tolerate it for the time being, but he definitely needed to know Luffy's current age.

"Six years old, Luffy is six years old this year."

Garp finally said that although he, as the grandfather, could not take care of his grandson all the time, he knew his grandson's age and birthday.

"Six years old, six years old..."

Zephyr muttered to himself, quickly recalling when that red-haired kid met Luffy... when he was seven years old, when Luffy was seven.

Zefa felt a sudden sense of relief. Thank goodness, it wasn't too late; a promising talent hadn't gone astray.

At this moment, Garp snapped out of his reverie at the sudden question and looked at Zephyr with some surprise.

"You old codger, why are you suddenly asking me this kind of question? Do you want to meet my grandson?"

Just as Garp was about to burst out laughing, he suddenly saw Zephyr's serious face.

"Hey, really...?"

Garp felt a bit of a toothache, Luffy didn't care, but Ace... Zephyr wouldn't know, would he?

"What, you don't welcome your grandpa to see your grandson?" Zefa said, feigning displeasure.

"It's not because of that, it's just a bit sudden..." Garp muttered to himself, then his eyes widened in surprise.

If Zephyr finds out, it doesn't matter. He trusts his old brother, just like Sengoku Kozuru wouldn't mind if he knew.

But the World Government...

"Zeffa, do you know something?"

Karp decided to test the waters; he could be honest with him, but he wouldn't bring it up himself.

"You found out?" Zephyr feigned surprise.

Garp took a deep breath. "Since you already know, I won't hide it anymore, Zephyr. Actually..."

"So you know now, right? Red-Haired Shanks, a former apprentice member of Roger's Pirates, has recently come to the East Blue."

A great pirate who should have been in the New World has quietly come to the peaceful seas of the Four Seas; there must be some unspeakable secret behind it.

Sure enough, I found an interesting wanted poster among the wanted posters in the East China Sea.

Bucky the Clown.

Upon hearing this, Garp froze instantly. "I was about to say Roger's child, and you were also talking about Roger's child, but it turns out you're not talking about the same child?"

"Two former apprentices from the Roger Pirates have gathered in the East Blue. Do you think they might be plotting something?"

Zephyr said seriously that he didn't want to know about Ace's existence now, at least not before he met the child.

Ace was trapped by his father his whole life, and Zephyr didn't want to approach him in that capacity.

Garp clicked his tongue, somewhat regaining his senses, and suddenly felt tense.

Wait a minute, two former apprentices of the Roger Pirates have gathered in the East Blue. What are they planning to do? What is there in the East Blue that would make them gather there?

Could it be... that they've discovered Ace!?

Garp discovered the blind spot and immediately became anxious. No, he couldn't let Ace make contact with them. Ace couldn't become a pirate; he had to become a Marine! Only then could he survive!

"Phew, Zephyr, thank you for telling me this. I'll head back to the East Blue right away. You..."

Garp wanted to say something, but looking at Zephyr's determined eyes, he suddenly didn't know what to say.

"Garp, I still have some vacation time this year. I'll go to the East Blue with you," Zeff said firmly. "I suspect that Roger's remnants intend to harm your grandson."

Upon hearing this, Garp was taken aback again, and a clear logical chain appeared in his mind.

He knew that Zephyr had been furious about his dead family members, and that anger had never subsided since then.

He also knew that the Navy was aware of Shanks' presence in the East Blue, but due to orders from the World Government, they could only pretend they hadn't seen him.

The Navy doesn't know why, but looking at the current Shichibukai, Hawkeye Mihawk, and then at Shanks, whose battle record is on par with Hawkeye's, the Navy can probably guess that the World Government wants to recruit him.

Garp knew Roger and his crew well; they wouldn't cause trouble for no reason, but they would never tolerate anyone who provoked their companions.

Garp was confident that the villagers of Windmill Village were simple and honest, and that nothing would happen even if Shanks went anywhere.

But Zephyr was different. He never killed a single pirate in his life, but his family was killed by pirates.

Zephyr was unaware of Ace's situation, but after learning that Shanks was in the East Blue, in his hometown, he kept a close eye on the matter until he discovered that Roger's remnants had gathered.

In Zephyr's eyes, the purpose of Roger's remnants gathering might be to deal with the family of him, Roger's former greatest rival.

Zefa didn't want his tragedy to repeat itself.

Garp felt he understood everything and looked intently at Zephyr, his old brother.

"Alright, Zephyr, this time let's go back to the East Blue together and show Roger's brats what a grown man can do!" Garp laughed heartily, confidently.

Zefa nodded. It seemed that the most basic issue could be resolved. He would never let those promising talents go astray!

……

Chat group.

[Zeffa: Thank you, Mr. Flander, you've been a great help to me.]

After reading the story of One Piece, Zephyr discovered while sorting through his memories that the origins, causes, and methods of operation of this chat group had been implanted in his mind, but he was too caught up in anger to realize it.

Now that the truth is out, he is filled with gratitude for Flander's behavior of not blackmailing him despite possessing most of his top-secret information.

"Those words sound so familiar."

Flander was somewhat helpless. Would every new member who saw his story have to say the same thing to him?

[Flander: It's nothing, Mr. Zeffa. As I said, we came with friendship in mind.]

Friendship, Zefa smiled broadly.

[Zeff: That friendship is truly precious to me.]

Dumbledore: That's true.

[Oki Yukinari: That's right.]

Suddenly, two other members appeared out of nowhere.

[Ding! Changes detected in the fate of group member Zephyr]
