Tokyo: Let the wicked women pay the price!

Chapter 26 was just a love-starved little girl afraid of being abandoned by her father and brothers.

As he left the ward, Fujino put one hand in his pocket.

He was clutching the recording pen tightly in his hand.

He wanted to laugh just thinking about how Yui had curled up like a quail.

You little brat, trying to use words to put me on the spot?

Am I, Kazuhiko Fujino, the kind of person who can be morally blackmailed?

I don't even have any morals.

But then again, how can we get the Yukinoshita family to accept this?

Especially without revealing the young lady's inner thoughts.

It's not that I necessarily want to help the young lady, but the main problem is that she's mentally broken, and then she won't be able to get the [stethoscope] reward.

Fujino was at a loss.

Fujino still didn't have a reasonable plan until he entered the lounge and met the expectant Yukinoshita family.

He didn't sit down, but stood in front of the table with his hands in his pockets.

"Lord Heiji, I just had a chat with the young lady."

"Yui isn't saying anything?"

"There has been some progress."

"??!"

The old man stroked his beard; although no surprise was on his face, his gesture of getting up revealed his inner turmoil.

Mr. Heiji maintained his composure: "Fujino-kun, what did Yui say?"

Fujino pondered for a moment, then sighed, "The young lady seems to lack a sense of security."

President Shota frowned: "Little sister? We spoil her rotten at home... a sense of security?"

Mr. Heiji didn't speak, but Fujino believed she understood.

Fujino pursed his lips and continued, "President Shota, some things can't be given directly with money. Like Ms. Yui, perhaps it was money that made her—"

"Enough!" Mr. Heiji slammed his hand on the table, displaying the imposing manner of a former governor.

"How old is she?" the old man asked, seemingly with regret and a hint of sarcasm, his gaze occasionally glancing at his current wife. "Does she really know that much?!"

Shota and Kenta's expressions changed, and they unconsciously looked at their stepmother.

Lady Yukinoshita was already trembling, but she dared not plead for mercy.

Fujino understood that for a seasoned veteran like Heiji, pleading for mercy might mean admitting guilt.

Mr. Heiji's gaze seemed to devour someone: "You've given so much, yet you still demand endlessly?!"

The scene fell silent for a moment.

No one dared to speak up easily.

"Of course not. Miss Yui is still young; she must have been taught to say such things by someone else."

Fujino's voice was like a bomb, detonating in the silent lounge.

Shota, no longer displaying the nonchalant demeanor of a large conglomerate president, abruptly stood up: "Dr. Fujino, you have no right to interrupt! This is a family matter!"

Kenta's judgment was also somewhat unfriendly.

In their eyes, Fujino's behavior was a transgression.

As an outsider, accusing the only suspected matriarch of the Yukinoshita family... well, his path as a doctor has come to an end.

Fujino didn't refute, he just shrugged.

"Mr. Heiji, I happen to have a lead on this matter. I'm afraid I can help you identify who it is."

Mr. Heiji did not speak, but simply turned his gaze to Fujino.

This is a signal to continue.

His anger no longer allowed him to maintain a facade of approachability.

"According to the young lady, it was a lawyer named 'Himemiya Ayame' who constantly reinforced the feeling of 'being abandoned by her father and brothers' when she felt insecure."

He smiled frankly: "It's normal for a stepmother's only daughter to have this feeling. But your family is harmonious, so it should have disappeared without a trace."

He then picked up a marker and wrote Himegami Ayame's name on the whiteboard: "It was her who harmed the young lady."

Silence fell again, but not with the previous timidity.

Instead, everyone seemed to be deep in thought.

"Evidence." Heiji uttered only these two cold words.

Fortunately, Fujino had made some small preparations.

He wrote "Lemon" around the Hime Palace.

"This is my previous patient, whose mother was also influenced by Himegami Ayame and developed obsessive-compulsive personality disorder."

Then he wrote "Hanako".

"This is another patient of mine. He was instigated by Himegami to exploit legal loopholes and use his mental illness as a pretext to stalk people."

"Himemiya Ayame's characteristic is that she uses a lot of truth to decorate the illusion that she wants to hide her true intentions."

Fujino paused for a moment, as if giving the Yukino family time to process what he had said.

"And the young lady's account perfectly matches this."

Heiji's expression softened slightly: "Not enough, and why did the house catch fire? Why did Yui burn down her own house?"

Fujino nodded and wrote "Metropolitan Police Department" on the outermost circle.

"The most crucial point is that, because I noticed the chain of instigation, I have already invited the Metropolitan Police Department to get involved." He linked the Metropolitan Police Department with Ayame.

"And it was when they were tracking Himegami Ayame to your house that they discovered the fire." He wrote down Hanayama's name. "This officer can testify to that."

Heiji nodded slightly: "Fire."

"Hime-miya Ayame said she would help the young lady, but she didn't say we would help the young lady win back your affections."

His voice was low and somber: "Using injury as a self-inflicted wound is just the most reasonable way to play the victim, isn't it?"

"And if the person involved knew, how would they be harmed?"

The lounge fell silent once again, as if frozen in ice.

This time, it was filled with the anger of the Yukinoshita family.

We are united in our hatred of the enemy.

"Ha, hahaha, hahahahaha." Mr. Heiji stroked his beard and laughed heartily. "I never expected that someone would plot against my child and sow discord."

He narrowed his eyes, revealing a ruthless glint in his eyes: "It's been a long time since anyone dared to do this."

"Kenta, did you hear me?" He didn't turn around, his voice was penetrating.

Kenta nodded subconsciously: "I understand, Father."

Do you think what Fujino-kun said makes sense?

"As it stands, there are no problems. I will investigate my father."

Mr. Heiji nodded: "Help the Metropolitan Police Department find out who this guy is!"

He straightened up, walked to the window, put his hands behind his back, and picked up his cane.

"Fujino-kun, thank you so much for your help this time."

Fujino chuckled and replied, "I don't understand your official stuff; I just want to cure my patients."

"This Himegami Ayame is practically a psychopath-generating machine."

"It has at least tripled my workload. I wish she would die tomorrow."

"Hahahaha." Heiji patted Fujino on the shoulder, and the butler behind him handed Fujino a business card. "Don't hesitate to come to me if you need anything."

"Thank you, then I won't be polite."

Fujino grinned and said, "As for now, let's go and reassure Ms. Yui first."

Heiji and Fujino walked side by side: "What should we be careful about in this regard?"

"She suffers from paranoia and bipolar disorder, so she is wary of people harming her and may suddenly become irritable."

"So... should we pretend we don't know anything and treat her the same way we always have?"

"No way." Fujino scratched his head.

"The young lady is actually a child who lacks love."

"Based on my experience, you, your wife, and your two older brothers, Kenta and Shota, should spend more time talking to her."

"It should be more effective than any medicine."
