Double Transmigration: Many Children, Many Blessings, Conquering Fairy Tales and Reality

Chapter 3 The Werewolf Under the Moon and the Wooden House in the Woods

As Qin Hao passed through the light curtain that emitted a faint blue glow, he felt a wave of dizziness.

When he opened his eyes again, the scenery around him had changed dramatically.

The cramped and narrow boys' dormitory has disappeared, replaced by a vast primeval forest.

The air was filled with the fragrance of damp earth and the rich scent of pine resin, mixed with a faint chill that crept into his collar.

"Is this what a fairy tale world is like?"

Qin Hao steadied himself and immediately looked around warily.

To his surprise, even though it was late at night, the visibility in the forest was surprisingly high.

He looked up and, through the intertwined branches of the towering trees overhead, saw an exaggeratedly large full moon hanging high in the night sky.

The cool, silvery-white moonlight spilled across the forest like mercury, illuminating the outlines of the surrounding trees clearly.

Despite the good lighting conditions provided by the moonlight, out of modern caution, Qin Hao still took out the high-powered tactical flashlight from his personal space and turned it to the lowest brightness to use for scouting.

He glanced at the compass in his hand, chose a direction, and cautiously began to explore.

After walking for about ten minutes, sinking deep into the thick layer of fallen leaves, a series of light footsteps suddenly came from behind the bushes ahead.

Qin Hao immediately turned off his flashlight, darted behind a thick oak tree, and held his breath.

A moment later, a staggering figure appeared in the moonlight.

He was a man dressed in rough linen clothes, looking like an ordinary villager from medieval Europe.

He lowered his head, clutching his shoulders tightly with both hands, as if enduring immense pain, and let out meaningless low growls.

"The local indigenous people?"

Qin Hao frowned slightly.

Although a thought of going forward to ask for information arose in his mind, a strong sense of crisis kept him rooted to the spot.

In the dead of night, instead of sleeping in the village, an ordinary villager wandered aimlessly in this deep mountain forest.

The scene looks eerie no matter how you look at it.

However, before Qin Hao could decide whether to bypass this person, an unexpected change occurred!

The bright full moon in the sky seemed to suddenly emit a strange fluctuation.

The villager, who had been hunched over, suddenly stopped, looked up, and let out an extremely shrill scream that was completely inhuman.

"roar--!!!"

In Qin Hao's suddenly contracting pupils, the villager's body began to expand rapidly at a speed that defied the laws of biology.

With a sickening sound of bones shattering and reforming, his linen clothes were instantly torn apart.

Rough, grayish-black hairs protruded wildly from under his skin like steel needles, his once human facial bones protruded forward, and his sharp fangs gleamed with a terrifying cold light in the moonlight.

In just a few seconds, a werewolf, standing at least two meters tall, with bulging muscles and emanating a strong smell of blood, suddenly appeared in the open space!

"Holy crap!" Qin Hao felt a chill run down his spine.

Just as he was cursing under his breath, the werewolf seemed to sense something and suddenly turned its head.

A pair of scarlet vertical pupils, filled with savagery and bloodlust, instantly locked onto the oak tree where Qin Hao was hiding!

"roar!"

Without the slightest hesitation, the werewolf pushed off the ground with both legs, and its massive body pounced towards Qin Hao like a cannonball!

"Get out of the way!"

Qin Hao's adrenaline surged, and before his brain could even process anything, his body reacted instinctively.

He suddenly performed a clumsy tactical roll to the right, barely avoiding the fatal lunge.

"boom!"

A muffled thud. Qin Hao turned around and immediately gasped.

The spot where he had just been standing had been smashed into a small crater by the werewolf's pair of sharp claws, with dirt and wood chips flying everywhere!

"Holy crap, they gave me a huge one as soon as I arrived!"

Qin Hao cursed wildly in his mind.

If someone were to get hit by this, forget about making money; this day next year would be the anniversary of his death!

However, in the midst of a life-or-death struggle, there was no time for him to be afraid.

The werewolf missed its attack, and its massive body was propelled forward several steps by inertia.

Just as it was about to turn around and launch a second attack, a ruthless glint flashed in Qin Hao's eyes.

"Die!"

With a thought, a heavy high-carbon steel axe instantly appeared in his hand.

At the same time, he frantically activated the mysterious energy within his body—the [Demon-Slaying Power]!

"Buzz!"

Then, an unbelievable scene unfolded.

The industrial axe, which was originally a dull black, was instantly as if it were coated with a layer of flowing silver light.

This radiance exudes a sacred, domineering aura, as if it can purify all evil spirits.

Qin Hao gripped the axe handle tightly with both hands, seizing the half-second opening when the werewolf's old strength was exhausted and new strength had not yet been generated, and it had not yet fully turned around.

He suddenly exerted force with both legs, and his whole body leaped out like a cheetah. He swung his arm in a wide arc and used a powerful strike to cut straight at the werewolf's nape!

No matter what kind of monster you are, even a werewolf, as long as you are a carbon-based life form with this humanoid physiological structure, your spine and the major arteries in your neck will always be your most fatal weaknesses!

"Die!"

Qin Hao poured all his strength into this one axe strike.

"Pfft—!"

There was no sound of hard bones colliding as I had imagined, nor the sluggish feeling of metal striking tough leather.

The silver-plated machete, upon contact with the werewolf's proud, tough hide and thick neck, seemed to slice into a block of hot tofu, encountering no real resistance whatsoever, and cleaved it to the very end with an extremely smooth motion!

Blood shot into the sky like a high-pressure water jet, splattering all over the tree trunk beside them.

A huge, ferocious wolf head tumbled several times in mid-air before crashing heavily to the ground.

The enormous, headless corpse, over two meters tall, stiffened abruptly, then collapsed like a mountain of flesh into a pile of fallen leaves with a thud. Its crimson eyes quickly lost their luster and became unfocused.

"Huff... huff..."

Qin Hao, still carrying the blood-dripping axe, staggered back a few steps before collapsing to the ground, panting heavily.

His back was completely soaked with cold sweat.

From encountering the werewolf to successfully turning the tables, the entire process took less than ten seconds, but it was a mad dash between life and death.

Having just stepped into this world, he was greeted with such a thrilling and exciting start, which was truly an overload on his ordinary little heart.

He looked at the headless corpse on the ground, which was gradually shrinking and reverting to a human form, with a complex expression in his eyes.

"Strictly speaking, could this be considered murder?"

Qin Hao muttered to himself, but to his surprise, he found that apart from his heart racing, he did not experience the intense discomfort such as vomiting and trembling that are common in novels.

Perhaps it was because the other party had just looked like a monster, or perhaps it was because in this strange world where people could die at any moment, the instinct for survival had completely overwhelmed the shackles of morality.

After a full three minutes, Qin Hao stood up again.

He didn't put the axe back into his spatial storage, but instead held it tightly in his hand, and generously continued to activate the [Demon-Slaying Power] within his body, keeping the silvery light constantly attached to the blade.

That attack just now made him fully realize the true value of this beginner's divine skill.

The moment he swung the axe, he could sense that without the power to ward off evil, his strength as a college student combined with an ordinary steel axe would definitely get stuck or even knock the axe away if he struck the werewolf's extremely dense muscles and bones.

But with the power to ward off evil, the defenses of all magical creatures are as fragile as paper in front of him!

"With this cheat, at least we have the means to protect ourselves."

To prevent the smell of blood from attracting other werewolves or wild beasts, Qin Hao dared not linger there.

He quickly determined his direction and hurried away from this bloody place.

We walked for another half hour in the quiet and secluded forest.

Through the shadows of the trees ahead, Qin Hao suddenly saw a faint orange-yellow flame.

His spirits lifted, and he slowed his pace to approach quietly, discovering that it was a quaint little wooden house built in a clearing in the woods.

Smoke curled from the chimney of the wooden house, and warm firelight shone through the windows.

In this perilous dark forest, the sudden appearance of such a cozy wooden house exudes an eerie sense of drama.

To prevent other werewolf-like monsters from lurking in the house, Qin Hao took a deep breath, hid the axe imbued with demon-slaying power behind his back, wiped the cold sweat from his clothes with his other hand, and stepped forward.

"Thump, thump, thump."

He tried to control the force he used when knocking on the heavy wooden door.

The forest was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Several seconds later, from behind the wooden door, came the extremely weak, hoarse, and even sickly trembling voice of an old woman:

"Ahem... Is that Little Red Riding Hood knocking at the door?"
