Hunter x Hunter: Card Master, the Strongest in the World.

Chapter 232 Is Lynn the strongest in the world? Everyone is shocked!

"Qualifications are one of the criteria the association values, and that's certainly true."

"But I think that given Mr. Lynn's contributions, no one will make things difficult for him on this point."

"It's already 2000, and the association shouldn't remain unchanged and rigidly adhere to the old rules. It should be determined according to the circumstances."

"If we don't give Mr. Lynn a proper title just because of his seniority, other forces might take this opportunity to recruit him, and the Hunter Association might lose a great contributor, hmm~"

"Of course, these are just my personal opinions."

Pariston smiled as he explained his point of view, clearly expressing his support for Lynn.

This surprised Lynn somewhat, since he had never met Pariston before, let alone had any connection with him.

Given Pariston's personality, it's already a good thing he didn't cause any trouble.

But precisely because of this, Pariston must have had plans he was unaware of, which is why he took the initiative to speak up for him.

Pariston stopped talking and just silently observed Lynn.

Lynn Yao————

That's really strong!

Pariston is quite capable, and he certainly has that much insight.

With both strength and ability, it's no wonder that By Yangde wanted to recruit him into the team.

Upon hearing this, not only Lynn, but also Gail, Pjorn and others were taken aback, not expecting Pariston to stand up for them.

Kang Zai raised an eyebrow and said bluntly, "You're unusually normal today. Is this what they mean by 'laying down the butcher's knife and instantly becoming a Buddha'?"

"Excuse me, you probably meant to say 'a prodigal son who returns is more precious than gold,' right?" Paris corrected in a gentle tone. "But I don't feel that I'm any different today than I was before."

"I've always been like this."

"You're always speaking up for fairness and justice, aren't you?"

Pariston smiled broadly and spread his hands.

As a result, no one paid any attention to him, and the scene immediately became quiet.

Seeing that no one spoke, Netero stroked his beard and formally announced, "We can begin the vote. First, those who disagree with Lynn's promotion to three-star hunter can raise their hands."

The twelve Earthly Branches looked at each other in bewilderment, and in the end, no one raised their hand.

"Hehe, no one objects?" Netero chuckled, winking at Lynn across from him. "You really have a lot of personal charm."

"It's rare to have such a smooth meeting."

No one objecting does not necessarily mean it passed unanimously.

Because there will be abstentions.

In the past, meetings often resulted in complex situations, with some people agreeing, some disagreeing, and many abstaining from voting.

Because each of the twelve Earthly Branches has different views, there are radical hawks, conservative doves, and balanced liberals.

Therefore, all three types of votes will appear in almost every meeting.

This time it's different; not a single person is against it.

Since that's the case, we can announce the results of the meeting.

From this day forward, Lynn officially becomes a new three-star hunter of the Hunter Association!

And he broke the association's record, becoming the fastest three-star hunter to level up!

Unlike one-star and two-star hunters, three-star hunters have two ways of being manifested.

One type lists which category the three-star hunters belong to, for example, Qiduo is a three-star hunter specializing in difficult and complicated diseases.

Another type is collectively known as Samsung Hunter, without specifying which category it belongs to.

This usually appears among the high-ranking members of the Hunter Association, such as Vice President Pariston, who is a three-star hunter, without specifying what field he is in.

The same applies to Nitero, who is also the president.

Since Lynn's achievements cover a wide range of areas, including food, relics, and bounties, it is inconvenient to refer to him as a three-star hunter in any particular area.

Therefore, it falls into the second category, and can be directly referred to as the "Samsung Hunter".

Congratulations, Lynn.

As soon as the meeting ended, people like Gai Lu, who were familiar with him, came forward to congratulate him.

This is definitely something to be happy about.

"Speaking of which, it's quite surprising that you would come to attend the meeting."

Gail looked at Jin as if she were seeing the sun rising in the west.

"Since I have some free time, and the main character is Lynn, I should give him some face."

Jin patted Lynn on the shoulder and said in a serious tone.

The meeting ended, but Lynn and the others did not leave the Hunter Association; instead, they waited for another meeting to begin.

During this trip, he also learned more about the specifics of the next meeting.

It turns out that this meeting was initiated by Netero himself, to re-evaluate the "World's Top Five Nen Users".

This list was compiled many years ago.

As the name suggests, this list refers to the five most powerful Nen users in the world.

Of course, this refers to the people in the public eye; whether there are other powerful figures behind the scenes is unknown.

This title takes into account both reputation and strength, so some people who are capable but deliberately hide their abilities are not included, especially the powerful figures of certain countries.

On the contrary, strong members of civilian organizations like the Hunter Association are more likely to make a name for themselves.

These five people are:

The current president of the Hunter Association, Chairman Netero, is known as the "strongest in the world".

Known as the "Prodigal Son," Jin is a two-star relic hunter associated with the Pig (亥) in the twelve earthly branches.

As a three-star terrorist hunter, he is hailed as second only to Netero in both strength and reputation, and is also one of the twelve earthly branches, Chenlong Potter White.

A renowned senior figure who passed away many years ago.

Another strong player from V5 was not present today.

The reason for gathering everyone here is to announce the new generation of the world's five greatest Nen users.

Gail estimated that Lynn would take the place of the deceased powerhouse.

After all, given Lynn's strength, it's perfectly reasonable for him to become one of the world's top five Nen users.

Before long, everyone headed toward another prepared meeting room.

On the way to the conference room, Lynn met up with Bisge, Menchi, and his apprentice Kurapika. Together with King, Gal, and others, the group made quite a sight.

To others, none of these people were simple.

It can be described as a heavyweight combination.

The twelve earthly branches need no introduction; they are a well-known fact.

And two-star hunter Bisge, one-star hunter Menchi, one-star hunter Kurapika —

Among this group, the lowest rank is a one-star hunter, or at least one of the twelve earthly branches.

It's important to understand that compared to the number of non-star hunters, star hunters are far fewer in number, and each one is an elite.

They all entered the meeting room, and Lynn discovered that it was surprisingly spacious.

It should be considered a large conference room.

There are now a dozen or twenty people scattered inside.

There are probably several dozen people in total.

The population can be roughly divided into two categories.

First, there are the high-ranking members of various factions, such as the Twelve Zodiacs of the Hunter Association, V5 officials and nobles, and heads of special organizations —

Secondly, there are some scattered hunters with titles.

For example, Bissie and Menchi belong to this category, and Lynn even saw some familiar figures in it.

For example, Morel and Nob from the original Chimera Ants team.

With that big pipe slung over his shoulder, it was hard for anyone not to notice him.

He hasn't been defeated by the Ant King yet, so he's only a one-star Ocean Hunter.

These people have gathered in this conference room for the announcement of the new world's five greatest Nen users!

The spacious conference room has a large rectangular conference table that can seat many people.

But only those with names and titles could sit down; those with less seniority could only stand behind their own people.

"Hehehe, come and sit down."

"You're the star of the day."

Netero gently put down his teacup and greeted Lynn with a smile.

He had already reserved a spot in advance.

Lynn was sitting right next to him.

Time passed by, bit by bit.

As more and more people arrived at the conference room, the pre-arranged time finally arrived.

"Well then, it's time, so let me explain the specifics."

Seeing that the time had come, Chairman Netero addressed the crowd directly.

Everyone is now in place, and everyone is listening carefully to Nitero's speech.

The stadium was so quiet you could hear a pin drop; only Netero was speaking.

As the personal secretary of the Hunter Association's president, Beanman stood behind President Netero.

She meticulously performed her record-keeping duties.

"As you all probably know, the world's five greatest Nen users."

"This list was finalized many years ago in the same conference hall."

"The world's top five Nen users may not be the five strongest in the world, but their strength is definitely among the strongest."

Netero spoke slowly and deliberately so that everyone could hear him clearly.

Even in the large conference hall, where many people were gathered, Netero's words could still be clearly heard by everyone.

"After so many years, this list has become outdated and is no longer relevant to the current situation."

"In particular, one of them passed away four years ago, leaving a vacancy among the five Nen users."

"So we'll fill this position today."

This statement didn't cause much of a stir, since it was just filling a vacancy.

It's not like all five people stepped down and were replaced by others.

After so many years, it's quite reasonable to replace one or two people with this list.

Apart from a few who already had a guess, everyone else focused their attention, waiting for Netero to announce his choice.

They are more concerned about who the next top five will be.

The list of "World's Top Five Nen Users" doesn't seem to be determined by a strict vote like the president of the Hunter Association.

Instead, it was proposed verbally by Netero so that everyone could witness it.

It's best if there are no objections; if there are objections, it's not so easy to resolve.

This kind of list reflects an individual's strength and reputation.

Just because you're not among the "World's Top Five Nen Users" doesn't mean you're weak.

But the fact that you're in there means you must be strong!

Everyone will have their own preferred candidate, and conflicts are inevitable if the candidate does not align with one's own preferences.

Unlike the Twelve Earthly Branches, which are well-known even to ordinary people.

Because of the phrase "Nen user," this special list is destined to circulate only within the Nen user community.

This idea was only mentioned by Bisge when she spoke to the two children about King on Greed Island in the original work.

Bisge said that King is one of the world's five greatest Nen users.

Therefore, this is an unofficial list proposed by Chairman Netero and witnessed by representatives from various factions.

Nevertheless, the five Nen users recognized by the "world's strongest" still wield extraordinary influence.

As a Nen user, you might not know anything about one-star or two-star hunters.

But you will definitely know about the "World's Five Great Nen Users"!

This kind of list can also better inspire others to pursue martial arts and always maintain a heart that strives for improvement.

"I've already made arrangements for a replacement."

"It's Lynn sitting right here!"

"There's something I need to add. Today, Lynn officially became the association's newest three-star hunter."

Netero chuckled and pointed to Lynn beside him, successfully drawing everyone's attention to Lynn.

For a moment, most people showed an expression of "I knew it".

Lynn's fame was greater than he had imagined.

Everyone present had heard of Lynn's reputation, the only difference being how much they had heard of him.

World's top exorcist.

The strongest player in Sky Arena.

In terms of titles alone, these two are the most widely known.

Especially the latter.

The former has a higher level of understanding, while the latter has a wider reach and is familiar to ordinary people.

This is mainly thanks to Sky Arena's aggressive advertising campaign across the six continents in order to make money.

Thus, this title became Lynn's most well-known title.

In addition, given the stories circulating about Lynn, no one had any objection to the proposal.

However, some individuals raised concerns, suggesting that there were other candidates to consider.

Nitro cracked the code using the simplest and most direct method.

"I know Lynn's strength very well."

"In fact, I have fought Lynn before, and I lost badly."

Netero chuckled, seemingly unconcerned, and casually uttered words that surprised everyone else.

Netero, the chairman of the Hunter Association and known as the "world's strongest," actually lost to Lynn!

This household name, considered invincible, lost to a young man!

Does that mean Lynn is the new "strongest in the world"?!

"I can't beat Lynn either."

Seeing that the old man had expressed his opinion, Jin's eyes gleamed slightly, and the corners of his mouth curled up. He also chose to speak, adding fuel to the fire: "It's no exaggeration to say that Lynn alone could easily defeat several of me."

Jin's words shocked everyone even more, leaving them all in a state of confusion.

For a moment, they couldn't even tell whether what Jin said was true or a lie.

If that's true, it's too exaggerated, isn't it?

Although many people dislike Kim and his personality.

However, it must be admitted that Gin's strength is indeed formidable; otherwise, he wouldn't be known as one of the "world's five greatest Nen users."

Yet this same person said Lynn could defeat several of him.

This shocked people.

Excluding those who died or were absent, there are only three [Top 5] members left, but two of them have already said they are not as good as Lynn.

So————

Countless eyes turned to the serious-looking Chenlong Potter White, who had no intention of speaking.

Seeing that everyone's attention was on him, he had no choice but to speak up and say, "I have never fought with Lynn."

These words brought a sigh of relief to many people, as they all admitted that they were no match for Lynn.

Then why bother running for "World's Top Five Nen Users"?

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to just declare Lynn the "strongest in the world"?

"If possible, I would like to have a friendly spar with Mr. Lynn." Potter looked directly at Lynn and extended an invitation in a sincere tone.
