Douluo Continent: Martial Soul Emperor, Unifying the Continent!

Chapter 124 Outer Courtyard, Head-on Confrontation with Zhou Yi!

Shrek Academy, Outer Division.

The first-year students are sitting in the classroom listening to the teacher explain the details of the freshman assessment.

Even students who would normally slack off were listening attentively at this time, because the freshman assessment was crucial to whether they could continue to stay at Shrek Academy.

If they were eliminated, they would have to pack their bags and leave after only three months at Shrek Academy, which was an outcome they absolutely did not want to see!

In Class 1 of the new students, Zhou Yi was writing on the blackboard with chalk while emphasizing the importance of the new student assessment and began to divide the remaining students in the class into groups.

Zhou Yi's teaching methods were indeed strict, but she did not neglect the essential teaching content, which is one of the reasons why the college did not expel Zhou Yi, who was frequently reported.

"The freshman assessment is your first test at Shrek Academy! Based on past assessment elimination rates, about 50% of you should be eliminated!"

"However, I'm confident your elimination rate won't be that high. My requirement for you is that you all pass!"

A freshman class usually has 100 students, but in Zhou Yi's class, more than a dozen students were kicked out at the beginning of the semester, and several more were forced out after three months, leaving only a little over 70 students.

The students didn't seem to care much about Zhou Yi's request.

After all, if they didn't pass the freshman assessment, they would have to say goodbye to Shrek Academy and to the domineering teacher in front of them.

When the bell rang, the students left the classroom in twos and threes.

Zhou Yi just assigned them teammates, and they are all talking to their teammates to get to know each other and build rapport so they can perform at their best in the freshman assessment.

However, Zhou Yi kept a few people with her.

Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong, Xiao Xiao.

All three of them chose the control system, which gave Zhou Yi a headache.

Bang bang bang!

With only Zhou Yi, Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong, and Xiao Xiao in the classroom, the knocking sounded particularly abrupt.

"get out of class should be over by now, right?"

Xu Tianming stood at the classroom door, looked at the people inside, and said with a smile.

Upon seeing Xu Tianming, Huo Yuhao's eyes lit up, and his expression became joyful.

"Teacher, what brings you here?"

Hearing Huo Yuhao's words, Wang Dong looked at Huo Yuhao and then at Xu Tianming standing at the door, somewhat surprised.

"Yuhao, is this your...teacher? He looks only three or four years older than you!"

Huo Yuhao, however, didn't seem to mind at all. Instead, he said with great pride, "My teacher is very strong!"

He personally witnessed his teacher single-handedly pinning a powerful soul beast with five thousand years of cultivation to the ground and beating it!

Judging from his demeanor, he felt that none of the current homeroom teachers were as good as his own.

On the other side, Xiao Xiao's eyes lit up when she saw Xu Tianming standing at the door.

handsome guy!

Xu Tianming's talent is ridiculously strong, which somewhat overshadows his good looks, but to be fair, Xu Tianming's appearance is also extremely outstanding.

Among all the freshmen, Wang Dong was at the peak of his looks, attracting the attention of countless girls as soon as school started.

However, compared to Xu Tianming, Wang Dong is somewhat inferior.

It's not about physical appearance, but rather that Xu Tianming has a more masculine and handsome aura. While Wang Dong's appearance is equally outstanding, it's relatively softer, while Xu Tianming's is more masculine.

Moreover, because he is older, Xu Tianming's temperament and physique are even more eye-catching.

In an instant, Xiao Xiao, who had been attracted by Wang Dong's good looks, shifted her focus and stared blankly at Xu Tianming with her green eyes.

He's so handsome!

Xu Tianming walked into the classroom and said softly, "Isn't the freshman assessment coming up? I came to see how you're doing. How's it going? Are you confident?"

Upon hearing this, Huo Yuhao scratched his head and said, "Well... I'm still a little confident; I shouldn't be eliminated!"

In the past three months, he has taken two Xuan Shui Pills and some rare and precious herbs to improve his physical condition, given by his teacher. His cultivation has officially entered the late stage of Soul Master and is about to reach level 20!

With his cultivation level, coupled with his million-year soul skill and the Tang Sect techniques he learned, he shouldn't be eliminated.

"Won't it be phased out?"

Xu Tianming raised an eyebrow and chuckled, "Not being eliminated isn't enough. Your grandmaster and I have high hopes for you—to win the freshman assessment!"

Upon hearing this, Huo Yuhao was dumbfounded.

"champion?"

Xu Tianming nodded and said, "Yes, champion, Yuhao, let me do the math for you. If you win the championship, you'll get a share of the freshman assessment champion reward, and as your teacher, I'll also give you a share. Plus, your grandmaster will get a share too. How should I put it... you'll become rich overnight!"

Huo Yuhao was very tempted. He knew his teacher's style quite well. Putting aside everything else, his teacher had never been stingy when it came to gifts!

Not to mention that grandmaster, once he wins the freshman assessment championship, he knows he will definitely become rich overnight, just like his teacher said!

"Yuhao, if the three of you can win the freshman assessment, I will also give you a separate reward."

Zhou Yi, who was standing nearby, chimed in.

As Huo Yuhao's homeroom teacher, and because Huo Yuhao was a student she paid close attention to, she couldn't help but express her opinion when she heard Xu Tianming's words.

Huo Yuhao took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.

The temptation of four rewards is tempting, but how easy is it to win the freshman assessment champion?

Xu Tianming patted Huo Yuhao on the shoulder and said softly, "Don't be nervous, your teacher believes in you."

As he spoke, he glanced at Zhou Yi, seemingly casually: "Yuhao, your teacher hasn't come to see you lately. Have you been bullied? I heard your homeroom teacher doesn't have a very good reputation..."

Upon hearing this, Zhou Yi's eyes narrowed instantly.

She knew she had a bad reputation, but there was a clear provocative tone in Xu Tianming's words.

"What do you mean?!"

Xu Tianming looked at Zhou Yi and said calmly, "It means exactly what it says. After all, Yuhao is my first disciple, and I'm the one who brought him to Shrek Academy. I can't let him be bullied, can I?"

Zhou Yi snorted coldly: "Such a young age, yet you have such a big mouth! How old are you yourself, and you call yourself a teacher?"

Xu Tianming chuckled and said, "Heh, what business is it of yours how old I am when I become a teacher!"

Upon hearing this, Huo Yuhao and the other two felt their hearts sink.

They knew all too well what kind of temper their homeroom teacher had.

Sure enough, the next second, Zhou Yi instantly released her martial spirit.

Six spirit rings—two yellow, two purple, and two black—rose rapidly from beneath his feet, releasing a powerful Soul Emperor aura!

Xu Tianming's expression remained unchanged, but an even more powerful aura emanated from his body.

The aura released by the four spirit rings—two purple and two black—was in no way inferior to Zhou Yi's six-ring spirit ring!
