Douluo Continent: Martial Soul Emperor, Unifying the Continent!

"good!"

"Give it a shot!"

"Captain, we'll listen to you!"

"Since we're not going to be eliminated anyway, let's give it our all!"

The three were in high spirits, as if they were about to challenge some super demon king.

However, a minute later.

"Xu Tianming from Class One wins!"

When Wang Yan put a checkmark next to Xu Tianming's name in the information sheet in the folder, the elimination round of the freshman assessment in District 13 came to an end.

Within the competition area, the three freshmen who were fighting against Xu Tianming were already lying on the ground.

There weren't any serious injuries, just that the shock made him not want to get up.

They had originally hoped that by going all out, they might be able to force Xu Tianming's martial spirit to emerge.

But now it seems that this was just wishful thinking!

One minute!

They only held on for a minute!

"Alright, let's keep up the good work at the academy."

Xu Tianming walked over to the opposing captain and reached out to help him up.

Compared to the previous groups that deliberately threw away matches to conserve their strength and prepare for the upcoming ranking matches, this group still gave him a sense of competition.

"Xu Tianming, just how strong are you?"

The captain's question voiced the sentiments of all the new students in the participating teams across District 13.

Just how strong is Xu Tianming?!

Xu Tianming smiled slightly and said, "It's alright, not that strong."

This is the truth.

He doesn't really think he's very strong.

Of course, his perspective wasn't that of these new students, but rather... that of the entire continent!

He is indeed very strong among the freshmen. There is no one in the entire freshman team who can even withstand a few of his moves, let alone beat him.

But his situation is quite different from those of the freshmen!

From the very beginning, he wasn't standing from the perspective of a newcomer, but from the perspective of the entire continent!

From the perspective of the entire continent, is he, a Soul Master with the cultivation level of Soul Venerable, strong?

He is clearly not strong. Even with an ultimate martial soul and various trump cards, he could not withstand any titled Douluo or even just a Soul Saint.

So he always felt that he wasn't actually that strong.

"Not very strong..."

The captain gave a wry smile, turned around and helped his two teammates up as well.

So annoying!

The elimination round for new student assessments has finally come to an end.

On the evening of the day the freshman assessment elimination round ended, all the teachers in charge of the assessment and the class teachers of the ten freshman classes held a meeting to summarize the freshman assessment.

Zi Ling, the homeroom teacher of Class One, is undoubtedly the protagonist.

There's no other reason than that, in the entire first grade, only three people have reached the Soul Venerable level of cultivation, and two of them are in Class One!

Furthermore, Class 1 had the highest number of groups advancing to the next round. Normally, half of the new students would be eliminated, but only 30% of the students from Class 1 were eliminated.

There's nothing we can do about it.

Even though Zi Ling worked hard to make the freshmen stronger over the past three months and grouped them according to their martial souls and cultivation levels to increase their chances of advancing, the elimination rate of fifty percent was still there. The fact that only thirty percent of the students in Class One were eliminated was already a very good result.

Not to mention, this was Ziling's first time being a homeroom teacher.

In the classroom, Zi Ling looked at the third of the seats that were empty and couldn't help but sigh.

Shrek Academy's assessments are just that brutal.

However, this is also a source of pressure and a sense of urgency for students.

"Fifteen groups from our class made it to the ranking competition this time, which is a great achievement. As your teacher, I will give you some rewards, and I hope you will continue your efforts in the ranking competition!"

Zi Ling announced the good news with a smile, but her gaze immediately fell on Xu Tianming, who was sitting by the window at the back of the classroom.

"I don't have specific expectations for the others, but Xu Tianming, you're different! My requirement for you is that you must win the championship!"

In an instant, all eyes in the class turned to Xu Tianming.

We must win the championship!

This requirement would be a huge burden for any other group.

But for some reason, when it came to Xu Tianming, everyone felt it was no challenge at all.

It's like, the position of the freshman assessment champion should have belonged to Xu Tianming!

"OK."

Xu Tianming put down the book in his hand, nodded slightly, and then continued reading.

In addition to cultivation level, Soul Masters also cultivate knowledge.

From first to sixth grade, the outer academy provides instruction on knowledge, including explanations of martial spirits, spirit beasts, and theories on hunting spirit beasts—all of which must be mastered.

Shrek Academy is known as the number one Soul Master Academy on the continent not only because it has a large number of powerful Soul Masters, but also because of the rich foundation it has accumulated over ten thousand years.

Putting aside other things, when it comes to discussing martial spirits and spirit beasts, the teachers at other ordinary advanced spirit master academies on the continent don't go into as much detail as the teachers at Shrek Academy.

For example, the Star Dou Great Forest, a gathering place for spirit beasts.

Shrek Academy has the deepest understanding of the Star Dou Great Forest in the entire Douluo Continent. They know which areas have which soul beasts, which age soul beasts are roughly distributed in which areas, and even the division of the Star Dou Great Forest into different regions. These were all discovered by the predecessors of Shrek Academy.

This is something that other advanced soul master academies on the continent don't have.

There are also some rare martial souls, which Shrek Academy keeps records of. How to cultivate and nurture them is all clearly documented.

This is the record left by countless students over the past ten thousand years, and it is also the true foundation of Shrek Academy as the number one Soul Master Academy on the continent.

However, the teaching in the outer academy is only at the basic level and will not go too deep. Further teaching will only begin in the inner academy.

What Xu Tianming did every time he attended class, besides listening to the lecture, was to read through all the textbooks from the first to the sixth year of the Foreign Languages Department.

He knew he wouldn't be staying in the outer courtyard for long, so he took advantage of the current relaxed situation to learn some things first.

Poseidon Island.

Old Mu lay on the recliner, his gaze sweeping across the shimmering Poseidon Lake and looking towards the outer courtyard.

"Shouldn't the ranking competition for the new students be starting soon?"

Yan Shaozhe, who was standing to the side, quickly said, "Teacher, it starts tomorrow."

Old Master Mu nodded slightly, then glanced at Yan Shaozhe out of the corner of his eye: "How is Xiao Tao doing?"

Yan Shaozhe said in a deep voice, "Since what happened last time, Xiao Tao's evil fire has not flared up for a long time, but... recently her cultivation speed has been very fast, and the evil fire has started to reappear."

Elder Mu frowned slightly: "Haven't we found that ultimate Ice Soul Master yet?"

Yan Shaozhe said helplessly, "We've searched the entire academy, but we couldn't find it. And..."

"Furthermore, Xiaotao told me that the reason the evil fire within her hasn't erupted for so long doesn't seem to be because of the extreme ice, but rather another, more domineering power..."
