The tropical amusement park's loudspeakers blared overhead, playing cheerful melodies on repeat.

Lin Ye stood in the shadows beneath the Ferris wheel, the collar of his black trench coat turned up, obscuring half his face. Vodka stood behind him like a loyal henchman.

He held a map of the amusement park in his hand, pretending to study it, but his eyes kept scanning his surroundings.

The transaction is scheduled for 1 PM. Masao Murakami will appear behind the warehouse in the western part of the amusement park with 100 million yen. It's only 10:30 now, so there are still two and a half hours.

Lin Ye didn't want to wait idly, so he glanced at the vodka.

"Let's go for a spin."

Gin and Lin Ye both prefer to be concise and to the point, and they don't need to pretend about it.

Vodka paused for a moment.

"Boss?"

He was somewhat confused.

"If we wait too long, it will attract unnecessary attention," Lin Ye said in Gin's tone, his voice very low. "We need to pretend to be ordinary tourists."

"Oh, you're so smart, boss!" Vodka nodded, folded the map, stuffed it into his pocket, and followed Lin Ye.

The two walked one after the other along the main path of the tropical amusement park, surrounded by groups of tourists: young couples pushing strollers, lovers holding hands, and children running around with cotton candy in their hands. The sun shone brightly, illuminating the colorful amusement rides.

It reflected a bright, cheerful, and carefree light.

Lin Ye stopped at a food stall and bought an ice cream. He didn't want to eat it, but he felt that someone visiting an amusement park should have something in their hand. Vodka stood next to him, also holding an ice cream, but hadn't taken a bite; the cream slowly melted in the sunlight.

It dripped onto his gloves.

Lin Ye was quite interested in all of these amusement rides.

He played another shooting game.

"Boss! That's awesome!"

Vodka was a great straight man; Lin Ye's marksmanship was excellent, hitting the bullseye ten times out of ten, winning a giant penguin plush toy.

He handed the plush toy to Vodka, who hugged the pink penguin. His expression was obscured behind his sunglasses, but Lin Ye could sense that he was very happy.

The simple-minded man's happiness is just that simple.

"Keep playing."

Lin Ye knew what she was doing.

He is waiting.

Waiting for that high school student to appear.

Taking the rides was just a strategy, and also a way to make sure the tickets bought with the organization's funds weren't wasted. At 11:40, Lin Ye saw the man while standing in the roller coaster queue.

Shinichi Kudo was wearing his signature dark blue school uniform, with the collar of his white shirt turned out, and his hair still sticking up in a messy, unruly manner.

Standing next to him was a girl with a ponytail, wearing a white top and pink shorts, holding a camera and taking pictures of the Ferris wheel in the distance.

Ran Mouri.

Lin Ye recognized her, but her face was more three-dimensional than in the animation, and her smile was more vivid. After taking the photo, she turned around and said something to Shinichi Kudo, who shrugged, looking uninterested.

The roller coaster line moved forward a few steps. Lin Ye lowered his head and pulled his trench coat collar up even higher. Vodka stood behind him, holding the pink penguin, looking particularly out of place in the crowd.

The roller coaster seats were arranged in rows of two. Lin Ye sat in the first row, with Vodka next to him. Shinichi Kudo and Ran Mouri sat two rows behind them. When the roller coaster started, Lin Ye could hear Ran Mouri's excited screams and Shinichi Kudo's lazy "What's there to be afraid of?"

The wind whistled past his ears, and the track stretched rapidly before him. Lin Ye gripped the safety lever in front of his chest, looking at the blue sky and white clouds ahead with a touch of nervousness.

After all, he's about to usher in a new era.

As the roller coaster plunged into the tunnel, darkness engulfed everything. Lin Ye felt Vodka's body tense slightly beside him, a professional assassin's instinctive reaction to uncertainty. Then came a scream, not from Ran Mouri, but from a man's voice.

It looked like something had been suddenly snapped in two.

"Aaaaaah! Murder!!"

The roller coaster emerged from the tunnel, and the sunlight reappeared.

The man sitting in the row in front of them was headless. Blood spurted from his neck, arcing through the air and splattering onto the faces and bodies of tourists in the rows behind him.

Someone died!

"How could this happen!"

"Oh my god! It's him! It's him!"

Screams rose and fell. When the roller coaster stopped at the end, some people started vomiting, some jumped off their seats and ran away, and some took out their phones to call the police.

Lin Ye remained seated, glancing back at Shinichi Kudo behind him. The high school student's face showed no fear, only a focused expression, as if he were solving a difficult math problem. He climbed out of his seat, walked to the body, knelt down, and began to examine it.

Vodka muttered, "Let's go, boss."

Lin Ye didn't move. "Wait a moment."

He watched Shinichi Kudo bustle around the body, watched him pull a wallet from the deceased's pocket, glance at it, and then put it back.

"Officer!"

Shinichi Kudo exchanged a few words with a policeman who arrived at the scene. The policeman first frowned, then nodded, and then began to evacuate the crowd according to Shinichi's instructions.

A 17-year-old high school student directs the police at a murder scene.

Such a situation would only be considered reasonable within the world of Detective Conan.

"Almost there." Lin Ye reached into his trench coat pocket and gripped the baseball bat. His fingers tightened on the handle for a moment, then loosened.

Shinichi Kudo solved the case very quickly, in less than twenty minutes.

He identified the murderer as the woman who had ridden the roller coaster with the deceased, and found the murder weapon—a hook with a wire attached—hidden in her handbag. He explained how she strangled the deceased with the wire in the dark, then hid the weapon in her bag and pretended to be panicked.

Every step was explained clearly, without any unnecessary words or speculation. When the police handcuffed her, she did not resist but simply kept her head down.

Not a word.

"Classic Confessions"

Lin Ye leaned against the railing, watching everything. Vodka stood behind him, still holding the pink penguin in his arms, his eyes behind his sunglasses fixed on Shinichi Kudo.

"That kid!" Vodka muttered, "He's not simple."

Lin Ye didn't reply. He watched as Shinichi Kudo walked out of the crowd, with Ran Mouri following behind, her face pale and her hands still trembling.

Shinichi Kudo said something, and Ran Mouri managed a weak smile. The two of them then walked deeper into the amusement park.

"It's my turn now." Lin Ye took the baseball bat out of his pocket, held it in his hand, and weighed it in his hand. He knew that he was about to complete Gin's mission.

"Boss, the trading time is almost here."

Vodka is the whistleblower.
