Douluo Continent: The True Body and Blood Soul, Starting from Blacksmithing

Graphite, with the spirit of Xuanwu Turtle, is the most stable tank in the team.

Almost instantly, he realized how difficult Lin Yu was to deal with.

Of course, what really makes him difficult to deal with is not his close combat experience, but that this kid didn't reveal his martial spirit in the entire battle!

In the battle just now, everyone only saw Lin Yu's soul skill: making a layer of golden scales appear on his right hand.

And then that was it.

They hadn't even managed to force out the opponent's martial spirit. If they didn't even know what the opponent's martial spirit was, they would need to explore it further in the upcoming battles.

After a moment of hesitation, they fell into the opponent's rhythm and were easily defeated by his rich close combat experience.

Although the opponent was experienced in close combat, Graphite also saw the opponent's problem: his attack power should not be strong.

Based on his first soul skill so far, he only covered his right hand with a layer of golden scales and did not perform well. Even when he hit Yu Feng, an agility-type soul master, on the neck, he only knocked him unconscious.

After careful consideration, Graphite stepped forward.

The Xuanwu Turtle is known for its resilience. As long as I can withstand its attacks and force out its martial spirit, I can leave the rest of the battle to the boss.

They were all part of the same team, and the moment Shi Mo stepped forward, Yu Tianheng understood his intentions.

Yu Tianheng did not object to this. He was very confident in his Blue Lightning Tyrannosaurus Rex, but since the other party was here to cause trouble, he would play it safe if he could.

"Graphite, Martial Soul: Xuanwu Turtle, Defensive Battle Soul Master, please enlighten me."

Graphite went on stage, introduced himself, and hoped that the other party would introduce themselves.

Unfortunately, Lin Yu doesn't have the habit of wasting words.

With a wave of his hand, scales appeared on his body as he attacked his opponent.

The opponent actually launched an attack? Graphite dared not be careless and decisively removed the shell of the Xuanwu Turtle to use as a shield for defense.

There's a reason why the Xuanwu Turtle is famous among defensive-type Soul Masters.

The Xuanwu Turtle is a beast-type martial spirit. In the early stages, as long as you improve your physical attributes, your martial spirit will become stronger.

However, after removing the shell from the Xuanwu Turtle, the shell can be used as a weapon spirit.

It can be said that the Xuanwu Turtle martial soul solves the problems of weapon martial souls being weak in the early stage and beast martial souls being weak in the late stage.

Furthermore, most Xuanwu turtles follow the path of building up their physique, which means that their physical strength is not low.

Lin Yu was well aware of the situation with graphite, and he had his own tactics for dealing with it.

When Wei Min was stationed at the Elementary Soul Master Academy in Wuhun City, he said: A powerful martial soul pursues the ultimate attributes.

Once they start pursuing balance and versatility, it means they have more weaknesses.

Lin Yu had long guessed what the weaknesses of an "all-around" martial soul like the Xuanwu Turtle were.

When Lin Yu rushed in front of Shi Mo, Shi Mo simply took off his shield to block. Lin Yu knew that he had already won.

Lin Yu had no intention of bypassing the tortoise shell to fight the other party. On the contrary, the other party's act of extending the tortoise shell for him to fight was exactly what Lin Yu wanted.

He raised his right fist, golden flames covering the golden scales. Then Lin Yu slammed his fist heavily onto the tortoise shell.

The turtle shell only made a heavy thud, without shaking at all.

This situation seemed to have made Lin Yu somewhat unwilling to give up. He raised his right fist and unleashed a series of punches in a fit of rage.

When the audience saw Lin Yu "break down" and start throwing punches haphazardly, they all smiled knowingly.

In the team, apart from Captain Yu Tianheng's Blue Lightning Tyrannosaurus Rex and Vice Captain Dugu Yan's poison, Shi Mo has never been afraid of anyone's attacks.

As for the challenger on stage who was breaking through the turtle shell, they didn't take him seriously at all.

Unlike his teammates' optimism offstage, onstage, Graphite's expression gradually shifted from relaxed to serious as he held up his shield.

Damn, why is his Xuanwu Shield getting hotter and hotter!

That's right, Graphite's Xuanwu Turtle is a beast spirit. Although beast spirits can become stronger due to physical enhancement, damage to the spirit will quickly be reflected back to the user.

His Xuanwu Shield was gradually heating up as the opponent attacked.

The Xuanwu Shield heated up, causing a fine layer of sweat to appear on his forehead.

Moreover, Shi Mo also felt that as the temperature of the Xuanwu Shield increased, the rate at which his soul power was being consumed was also accelerating.

If this continues, I'm afraid I won't even be able to use my soul skills later!

He hadn't forgotten his purpose in going on stage. He chose to passively take the beating because he thought that if the opponent couldn't break through his defenses, he would summon his martial soul.

The opponent seems to know how to counter my martial soul, so if I continue to passively take hits, I'll truly become a Xuanwu (a mythical tortoise).

First Soul Skill activated.

A stream of water quickly enveloped the graphite, rapidly reducing the temperature of the Xuanwu Shield.

Seeing that the opponent had activated their soul skill, Lin Yu decisively retreated.

Graphite, of course, would not let Lin Yu off the hook.

His soul skill effect is Stagnant Water. During the skill's duration, if the enemy continues to attack the Xuanwu Shield, a viscous liquid formed by condensed soul power will gradually spread from the attacker's arm to their entire body, reducing the opponent's speed.

For an ordinary defensive Soul Master, this skill is merely a passive control skill.

However, for Xuanwu Turtle Soul Masters, they can turn this skill into an active skill: actively chase after the enemy, and the enemy's speed will decrease slightly as long as they are hit.

After they've been photographed so many times, they'll have no choice but to accept it.

This soul skill naturally has a flaw, because after activating the soul skill, the soul power will become stagnant, which will reduce his movement speed.

His solution was to throw out his Xuanwu Shield and smash people with it!

The essence of the Xuanwu Shield is a martial spirit. Once thrown out, it can be retrieved by consuming soul power.

If the team works together and someone blocks the enemy's movement, the accuracy of this skill may be higher.

However, if you use this skill in a one-on-one fight, you can easily dodge the shield thrown by Graphite by simply creating some distance.

After missing two skills, Graphite gave up and surrendered.

The more confident they were when they stepped onto the field, the more pathetic they became when they slunk off.

However, no one took advantage of the situation at this time.

However, Graphite's trip was not without its rewards; at least he discovered one of Lin Yu's new abilities.

"Besides the golden scales on his right hand, that kid's first soul skill also includes a golden flame."

"That golden flame has extremely strong penetrability and can easily transmit its heat into the interior of my Xuanwu Shield."

"Although he's not very strong, I suggest we don't fight him for a long time. Boss, you should make your move and finish this quickly. He shouldn't be able to withstand your attacks."

Yu Tianheng nodded, and patted Shi Mo on the shoulder with gratitude, thanking him for the information.

"Tianheng, let me go. My Jade Scale Serpent venom is more lethal; he can't withstand it. After he's poisoned, I can take the opportunity to blackmail him and make him apologize to us. Maybe I can even get him to join us."

"If you beat him up, and he's too shy to join us, wouldn't we lose such a talented teammate?"
