The Legend of the Fishermen of Sicily

Chapter 45 The Beginning of Control

The shipyard was bustling with activity this morning.

Outside the gate.

Someone witnessed the entire 3vs3 match unfold and let out a knowing, cold laugh.

Yesterday, Aesop said he would introduce Enzo and Leo, but in the morning Enzo went to Sandro's house to learn about commercial fishing vessel licenses, and in the afternoon he took his little Monica to town to see a doctor because he was worried, so he didn't have time to do it.

Enzo was not one to beat around the bush or to procrastinate.

Why would two grown men need a middleman to introduce them?

Upon hearing that Leo would no longer be going to the fish market, he came to the shipyard this morning, wanting to get to know Leo.

Unexpectedly, just as they were about to reach the entrance, they ran into Rosalia, whose destination was also the shipyard.

After Simon's accident, Enzo rarely spent time alone with Rosalia, and when the two met, they inevitably thought of their deceased friend.

So he found a place to smoke, planning to go find Leo later.

Soon, a series of sounds of collapse came from inside the shipyard, followed by meows and screams, creating quite a commotion.

The shipyard was drafty, so Enzo moved to another spot to observe. He witnessed everything from Salvatore kicking the cat to Leo's intervention, and then Rosalia joining the fray.

You ask why Enzo didn't make a move?

Because all he wanted to do now was find a secluded corner and kill Salvatore!

Monica often feeds that little orange stray cat, and she would be heartbroken if anything happened to it.

That damn bastard actually dared to kick it?!

Another point is that Enzo was confident in Leo's skills. He could easily take down two opponents at once, and he probably wouldn't even break a sweat against the three softies, Salvatore.

Especially with Rosalia there...

Marzamemi's hardest fist is clear, but what people fear more than his fist is his reputation.

As soon as Rosalia stood there, these people didn't even have the courage to make a move. Now, they only had one thought in their minds—to run.

.......

run!

We have to find a way to escape!

There was only one thought in Saltovatore's mind!

Rosalia was at the shipyard gate, and Leo was in the shipbuilding workshop. At this moment, there was only one way out...

"Run to the sea!" He led the charge towards the rocky embankment.

All three men were excellent swimmers; otherwise, they wouldn't have come from Palermo to Marzamemi to work as fishermen.

After working as a fisherman for over a year, I'm now an even better swimmer.

As long as you can get into the sea, there's a way to escape!

......

Leo moved too.

Letting them go from the warehouse was to prevent them from being taken advantage of by the small number of people and the fact that they were from out of town.

But Rosalia arrived.

Even Sandro knows she's a person of principle; with her there, he's not afraid of a fight today.

Salvatore and his companions fled towards the sea...

Leo had studied diving and was close to nature, but he used to live in the city and his swimming skills were only so-so.

If they were allowed to run into the sea, Leo really wouldn't know what to do with them; they might just dive in and never be found again.

"Wait a minute, did the system give me a new skill?"

Leo brought up the light blue screen, and the system panel had undergone significant changes.

[Host: Leo Volpe]

[Identity: Anonymous]

[Faction: 1]

[Skills: Weakness Exploit, Torture Interrogation, The Beginning of Control]

[Family Member: Mad Orange]

First of all, I have to complain about the newly added "Family Members" section. If I'm not mistaken, this "Crazy Orange" is none other than Big Fat Orange.

But you gave someone such a cool nickname, and you only gave them 1 point of [reputation]. Is that appropriate?

Leo had just checked the panel attributes this morning. His previous [Reputation] was 17 points, and the extra 1 point was a reward from [Add a Chair].

In other words, the big orange cat is the 1 in the range 1 to 99999!

But since it was a family member, Leo didn't mind that its little cat had no special skills; it was fine as a mascot.

I'm just really looking forward to seeing what kind of awesome names the system will give to other family members when they join.

He then checked his newly acquired skill, [The Beginning of Mastery].

[The Beginning of Mastery: You begin to understand the feeling of 'control'. Current effects: Significantly improved control over your limbs, muscle memory begins to form, balance and rhythm are enhanced, and the body can move freely and naturally.]

[System Note: As a godfather, learn to control yourself before you control others.]

Unlike the other two skills, [Beginning of Mastery] is a passive skill, meaning that its changes are directly reflected in physical functions.

During his pursuit of Salvatore and the other two, Leo tested his new 'body' and was most struck by how much lighter he felt.

He chased after them while keeping an eye on the control panel, and also had to use his brain to leap across the rocky beach, but the distance between him and the three people in front of him was getting closer and closer...

Leo felt that his speed and agility had improved significantly at this moment.

Wanting to test his jumping ability further and see if he could tackle the last person 3 meters away, Salvatore, who was running in the lead, jumped into the sea, followed by his two underlings.

After hesitating for only two or three seconds, Leo followed them and jumped down.

......

"What are you doing down there!"

Enzo rushed toward the shore.

What was supposed to be a sure-fire victory for the noob turned out to be a lucky break for the cunning Salvatore.

That was the sea, not land. If Leo, who was not familiar with swimming, jumped in rashly, he would not only fail to catch up with the person, but he might also lose his own life.

How can you compare your swimming skills to those of fishermen?

And it was one against three!

Monica said "Brother Leo" several times on her way to the doctor yesterday.

Little Monica will be heartbroken if something happens to Leo!

Enzo ran while taking off his clothes, intending to jump down to save Leo.

But a few bubbles rose to the surface of the sea not far away, followed by ripples that expanded rapidly, and then the water began to churn violently, as if something was boiling down there!

Suddenly, the water broke open, and a head surfaced, coughing and cursing:

"If you've got the guts, let's fight on land. What kind of bastard fights in the water? Ughh ...

A few seconds later, another head surfaced, and it too immediately began spewing profanities:

"You son of a bitch! You attacked me from behind! Ahhh, don't kick me there! Glug glug glug glug—"

Just as Enzo was completely bewildered, a third head appeared.

Leo came out to catch his breath and then sank back into the sea.

Then ripples began to spread across the sea again...

A few minutes later.

Leo threw the battered Simmons and Vincenzo ashore one after the other, then returned to deeper waters to search for the last remaining survivor.

Simmons and Vincenzo were badly beaten underwater and it took them a long time to open their eyes with difficulty.

Upon waking, their first instinct was to run away, but the sight of the bearded, bald man in front of them made them wish they could stay unconscious.

How did Enzo end up here?

Simmons tried to bluff his way out, saying he had been planning to leave long ago.

Enzo stared blankly in the direction of the sea:

"Take a breath, Salvatore might be here any minute."

The sentence was spoken in a flat tone, and Enzo did not show much hostility, but Simmons and Vincenzo both felt a chill in their hearts.

Enzo across from him put his shoes on...

Enzo usually kept his emotions hidden, so everyone came up with a "user manual" for him.

When you encounter Enzo, first look at the soles of his feet. Once he puts his shoes on, it means that the poor "sandbag" is about to appear, so everyone should pay close attention.

There are only the two of them around, so who else could the sandbag be?

But when did they offend Enzo?

No, it should be said that they wouldn't dare to offend Marzamemi's toughest fist!

Enzo suddenly took two steps forward, startling the two of them who hurriedly covered their faces with their hands.

But the big guy passed them and headed straight for the sea.

Beneath Enzo's cold exterior, a frenzied and excited heart was surging.

That outsider actually found Salvatore.

One person chasing three, finding them all and bringing them back from the sea... even for those of them who have been dealing with the sea since childhood, it's a difficult feat.

"interesting."
