Finally, a whistle blew, and the referee tossed the basketball into the air.

Collison easily defeated Townsend, securing the team's first possession of the night.

Miles brought the ball up the court, and Kansas immediately began a complex but patient run.

Finally, Collison mentioned that he set an off-ball screen for Hinrich on the outside of the three-point line, and Hinrich received the ball after the screen and pulled up for a shot.

"That's standard Kansas style of play! Their tactics have given countless opponents a headache." Wilmarcus exclaimed enthusiastically, "Marquette needs to step up his defense, and Hinrich is definitely the most accurate and prolific shooter in the entire NCAA this year!"

On the court, Nadi steadily advanced the ball and then passed it to Wade. Wade didn't need to do anything; Ye Feng had already quickly stepped forward and blocked Hinrich for him.

While providing cover, Ye Feng also casually reached out and poked Xinliqi in the lower back with his finger.

He then quickly turned and cut to the basket, receiving Wade's pass just outside the three-second zone.

Collison didn't dunk like Ye Feng did after receiving the ball; that's not his style.

He faked a move, turned his back, then quickly turned around and used his height and touch to deftly push past Townsend and hook the ball into the basket.

After the shot went in, Townsend quickly came to the basket, picked up the ball and sent it out. Wade received the ball and immediately burst out with his lightning speed, striding to the frontcourt in the blink of an eye. He pulled away from Graves' defense in mid-air and scored 2 points with a reverse layup.

"Beautiful!" Wilmarcus continued, "In the first two possessions, both sides played to their own style! Hinrich's off-ball movement and three-pointers, Collison's soft touch, Wade showing his terrifying speed on Marquette's side, and Ye even delivered the most explosive dunk of the semifinals so far!"

Smith said, "On one side is a mature combination whose style has been established and who will be quite competitive even if they go to the NBA. On the other side is a superstar with overflowing talent who can dominate 9% of college players with his physical abilities."

"I'm really curious to see how this matchup will ultimately turn out!"

In Kansas' next offensive possession, after a few passes, they got the ball to Graves, a strong and explosive player. He drove straight to the basket and drew a foul from Townsend while pushing up against the defense.

After making both free throws, Diner dribbled to the frontcourt and this time he and Townsend executed a pick-and-roll. Ye Feng and Wade simultaneously cut towards the basket from the left and right, and the sight of these four players attacking the rim at the same time caused problems for Kansas' defense once again.

Despite being caught off guard, Dina found an open space and threw the ball into the air. Ye Feng leaped up and slammed the ball into the basket with both hands!

Until the 7th minute of the first half, the gap between the two sides was still only 2 points.

"You can actually run pick-and-rolls?" Wade, who was shielded by the screen, also started trash-talking: "I thought you couldn't do anything except stand outside the three-point line directing traffic."

"You'd better remember your words," Hinrich said calmly. "That was just a warm-up; the real match is about to begin!"

Wade was at his wits' end facing the zone defense; he hated it the most.
