NBA: A collection of super busts

Chapter 27: Benefits? You guys are treating me like a benefit?

The Kansas coach showed no sign of stopping. For the next minute, instead of devising a strategy, he continued to attack, which is his style, and also the style of many coaches in the NCAA.

Use scathing insults and profanity to rouse the players, get them motivated, and get them focused.

During that entire timeout, he only had one sentence left for the court.

"Kirk, you're in charge from now on. Remember, stabilize the situation; time is our friend now! Wear down their patience! Specific tactics and strategies will be decided based on the situation on the court! Everything is up to you!"

Graves came to his senses after being scolded by the coach.

He just longed for the NBA, it was a small dream, he wasn't really stupid.

He realized he had been tricked.

Holy crap!

That damn wanted criminal!

After a barrage of insults, the players from both sides returned to the field.

This time, the Kansas players no longer had the confidence and ease they had shown earlier; they also felt a sense of urgency.

While swearing and using foul language is unacceptable, it can sometimes be effective in the short term.

"Keep going, bro!" Ye Feng came over as soon as he saw Graves: "Same rules for this round. I just couldn't control myself. It's been so long since I've intercepted such a satisfying ball. That ball was right in front of me, so big and round, I just couldn't control it."

"Okay, for this shot, keep it simple. Let me get used to it. Just use the simplest bank shot; I promise I won't even stretch my arm!"

"Do you think I'm an idiot?" Graves glared at Ye Feng. "I won't fall for it again!"

"He's come to his senses, much smarter than I thought!" Unexpectedly, Ye Feng didn't argue with him at all, but turned to his teammates and said, "Then there are no more perks, we have to fight for real."

"Benefits?" Graves snapped. "You treat me like a benefit?"

"Actually, I was treating you like an idiot." Ye Feng shrugged, indicating he was no longer pretending. "But you're a bit smarter than I thought. I originally thought I could catch up to at least 15 points with your help!"

Graves fell silent. He admitted that he had made a series of foolish mistakes that led to the point deficit being caught up, but he wouldn't make the same mistake again, nor would he get carried away by Ye Feng's words. From now on, he would only do what he was good at and what he should do!

In this round, Kansas finally caught their breath, with Hinrich using a screen to force his way through and score a layup over Townsend, finally getting Kansas' first points in the second half.

Turning back, Kansas abandoned man-to-man defense and switched to the 2-3 zone defense that best counters Wade. After all, in the last few possessions, regardless of whether Ye Feng or he scored, the offense was initiated by Wade's breakthrough. Kansas is getting serious again!

This time, however, facing intense, high-pressure defense on the perimeter, Wade was much more decisive than in the first half! In the first half, when faced with such double-teams, he would rationally pass the ball to seek cooperation, but now, it's not time to be rational!

In dire situations, star players have to do something unconventional to have any chance of turning the tide; that's the meaning behind their existence!

Wade, facing a double team at the high post, suddenly made a sharp change of direction to create space. Then, he suddenly turned to the side and slapped the ball from behind to the front. He jumped and bounced as he forcefully passed between the two defenders!

"FUXX!" Wilmarcus in the commentary booth couldn't help but swear. This shot was truly a combination of skill and talent!

Wade drove straight to the three-point line and continued to attack the basket. With Collison's help defense, he forced a layup.

Unfortunately, it went "bang" again; his touch was really bad tonight.

However, he has completely torn apart Kansas' defense, drawing out the players in the paint.

Under the basket, Ye Feng overpowered Graves and grabbed the ball with one hand. After landing, he suddenly raised his knee, as if to shoot. Graves immediately jumped up to try to block the shot, but he found Ye Feng was still on the ground as soon as he got up.

Ruined!

The moment this thought crossed his mind, Ye Feng had already created a time difference, jumped, fought back, and then made his move in mid-air.

"Hand foul! 2 points awarded, plus 1 free throw!"

The referee blew the whistle again, and Ye Feng scored a 2+1!

After that shot, Ye Feng stopped pretending and it was time to reveal his hand. He pounded his chest with one hand and let out a huge roar!

"You guys really think you can play however you want just because you're up by 29 points?" Ye Feng glared at Graves and Collison in front of him, his voice brimming with arrogance. "You think you've got this in the bag? I bet you've never won by this much before, right, you country bumpkins? It's rare to have such a big lead, you should celebrate, shouldn't you!"

"Let me guess, during halftime, did anyone hold up a piece of paper with '59:30' written on it and then take a group photo?"

"Do you really think you can turn this around?" Hinrich overheard Ye Feng's words as he returned to the basket, ready to receive the ball. He immediately retorted sarcastically, "Want me to explain to you what our current point difference means? Or should I get someone to tutor you in elementary school math?"

"That way you'll know how big the gap is between us."

"Why don't you explain it yourself instead of having someone else do it, Kirk? Is it because you can't even do elementary school math?" Ye Feng retorted, not to be outdone. "Is that why you've never made it to the NBA? Because you can't even write your own name, and you can't even sign your name on a contract."

"I'm looking forward to your comeback!" Hinrich scoffed. "I'm fucking looking forward to your comeback!"

Collison walked over too: "We're still up by 20 points! You want to come back? You think you can turn things around by 20 points? I'll eat this basketball right here! Come on, Gray, go get Ye a Gatorade to recover his energy. Let's see how he turns things around."

"To be precise, it's 19 points." Ye Feng had already stepped to the free throw line, his eyes fixed on the basket, and then steadily released the ball.

"Whoosh!"

"19 points!" Ye Feng glared at the Kansas players after making the free throw: "19 points is nothing! Wash your asses and wait to die, you bastards!"

In the ensuing match, both sides became locked in a fierce and close battle.

The pace of the game slowed down, and the intensity of the competition between the two sides was raised to the highest level. Before they knew it, the game began to transform from a college basketball game into a chaotic brawl among college students.

Both sides began to escalate their actions, neither willing to yield, and both unleashing all their energy.

A physical battle of the highest caliber in the NCAA is escalating!
