NBA: A collection of super busts

Chapter 7 Cursed by Satan, Blessed by God

"Beep beep!"

At that moment, the referee blew the whistle to start the game!

Torrey Brown and Todd Townsend jumped at the same time, but Townsend ultimately prevailed, giving Marquette University their first possession of the night.

The first half of the game lasted 20 minutes, and the attack timer lasted 30 seconds, during which time the players began to move around.

Wade brought the ball to the frontcourt, and before he could do anything, Ye Feng had already rushed forward and shielded him from the defender. After a quick exchange, the two of them dashed toward the basket at the same time!

Wade tossed the basketball into the air, and Ye Feng leaped into the air, catching the basketball with one hand while still in mid-air. He then completely ignored Brown, who was standing right in front of him, and his tense muscles exploded like dynamite.

Brown finally understood why his first night with his girlfriend wasn't pleasant, and why she cried out in pain.

If you don't pay attention to the force you apply, it can really hurt, like he is now.

The overwhelming force flipped him from mid-air to the ground without providing any effective defense, and Ye Feng's long arm had already reached over his head, smashing the ball into the basket!

This is the added bonus that comes from having both Brown's lower body and Swift's jumping ability.

If a person can jump like a monkey leaping into the sky and has the roots of an old tree growing in the lower body, then his strength must be formidable. Otherwise, Einstein would surely jump out of his grave to argue with the heavens about what the true universal laws are.

After Ye Feng's powerful dunk, the fans in the arena immediately erupted in cheers and shouts, and Ye Feng's name resounded throughout the stadium.

"It's not surprising that he can dunk and fly. There are at least 80 to 100 people in the US who can do that kind of dunk," Riley scoffed.

"But it's rare to find someone who can fly while also having such top-notch pick-and-roll quality and good roll-and-roll instincts," Dumars shrugged, offering his opinion.

"But Wade's pass reminded me of Magic Johnson!" West grinned. "That was a really good pass!"

"Old fox!" the three of them cursed inwardly at the same time.

Clearly, all three of them could tell that the other two were being insincere and talking nonsense.

Riley and Dumars, who both have top-five draft picks, obviously want Wade, but both of them are commenting on Ye Feng.

West, who holds a draft pick in the 10s, keeps calling out Wade and Magic Johnson.

These three people combined might not have a single sincere heart, but they certainly have at least 900 cunning schemes.

On the court, after Ye Feng and Wade took the lead, Pittsburgh obviously wanted to match their intensity and play a similar game.

Knight then waved for a screen, and immediately rushed to the basket, mimicking Knight's move by throwing the ball into the air.

But Chevon Brown didn't have Ye Feng's jumping ability and physical qualities. He tried to jump high and grab the basketball, but when he tried to smash the ball into the basket in mid-air, he found that he couldn't do it!

Even without jumping, Ye Feng seemed to have transformed into an impenetrable defensive line, as immovable as a mountain, effectively blocking Brown from entering the three-second zone.

Unable to fly into the paint, Brown could only land helplessly on the ground, but fortunately the basketball was still in his hands.

Brown slammed the ball heavily on the floor, then suddenly charged towards Ye Feng.

"Bang!"

Not moving.

"Bang!"

Immovable as a mountain.

"pe..."

Brown had just exerted force on his third attempt when he lost control of the basketball, which was snatched away and stolen from his hands.

The ball was stolen by Wade, who finally returned to defense from the perimeter. After catching the ball, Wade excitedly said, "That was great, Ye! Your defense is as impenetrable as the great Maginot Line!"

"Dad's told you eight hundred times," Ye Feng rolled his eyes and said, "The Maginot Line is as fragile as your back door; one shot and it'll crumble. A little effort and it'll penetrate!"

"When praising someone's defense, don't use those rubbish words that who knows which piece of trash you learned them from."

As the two continued their verbal sparring, Wade dribbled the ball back to the frontcourt. He waved for Ye Feng to set a screen, then accelerated and drove into the basket once again.

The two Browns were on high alert this time, both huddled in the paint waiting for Wade's attack. Wade still didn't drive to the basket himself, but instead turned around and passed the ball back to Ye Feng behind him after entering the paint.

Ye Feng received the ball outside the three-second zone, but instead of charging into the crowded paint, he turned his body to the side, tilted his head, placed his hands strangely behind his head, and then threw the basketball... well, threw it out in a way that no ordinary person could describe.

This sounded like an orc throwing a giant axe, a dwarf controlling a catapult, or an AK47 with the personal characteristics of an uneducated African man spitting fire.

In short, the pose was absolutely hideous.

But although it was ugly, the all-knowing and all-powerful God obviously couldn't bear to see someone with such an ugly shooting form miss the ball. He blessed the basketball, and then the basketball went in accurately!

"Was his shot cursed by Satan?" Dumars, clearly watching Ye Feng's game live for the first time, stared wide-eyed and couldn't help but curse.

"He probably went to Rick Barry for shooting lessons," Riley said. "But the result was alright."

West didn't say anything, but secretly took out his phone and sent a message to his assistant and scouting team: Give me all the information on Ye Feng from Marquette University.

Two rounds of conversation made West, who had only come to take a casual look, start to have second thoughts.

This Ye Feng doesn't seem to be some pure blue-collar worker or finisher at all!

Ye Feng was quite helpless at this moment. He had acquired Camby's mediocre shooting ability, but what was disgusting was that he also inherited Camby's appalling shooting posture.

He tried to change, but throughout the entire school year, his shooting percentage was atrocious whenever he didn't use that shooting form, and his shooting motion was atrocious when he did use it.

At that moment, Ye Feng understood what it meant to say, "If I hold you, I can't support you; if I hold bricks, I can't be with you..."

Those who don't eat cilantro seem to have some valid reasons.

In the next possession, it was Brown who was completely irrelevant, calling for the ball under the basket, wanting to go one-on-one with Ye Feng. However, his repeated collisions and footwork changes were ineffective, and he couldn't break through Ye Feng's defense. In desperation, he forced a shot, but just as he got up to hook the ball, a large hand pushed the basketball back into his hands!

The basketball never even left his palm; he practically sat back down on the floor while still holding it.

There is a huge gap between lottery-level combat power and that of an average college student.

"Give it to me!" Ye Feng bent down and snatched the basketball away, muttering under his breath, "What are you doing holding onto the basketball after getting blocked? Shameless!"

Marquette University then launched a counterattack, with Wade leading the charge with a dribble that drove all the way to the vicinity of the three-second zone before passing the ball to Diner on the perimeter. Diner received the ball and immediately pulled up for a shot, and Marquette University's first outside shot blazed.

"Bang!"

Then came a muffled thud; Dina's first three-point attempt failed to find its mark.

It didn't matter who the other player under the basket was, Brown held his position, his eyes fixed on the rim, ready to catch the ball as it bounced high and was about to fall.

However, just as he had calculated the basketball's landing point and was about to get up and catch it, he couldn't jump.

I jumped before you did.

A tremendous force pressed down on him so hard he couldn't even straighten his back, let alone get up to grab the rebound. The huge gap in talent meant Brown couldn't even see what the person above him was doing.

But he couldn't see it; the at least 64000 audience members at the scene saw it all clearly!
