One Piece: Starting from Awakening the Cosmo at Marineford

Chapter 81 Catching a Bullet: Today Is Your Death Day

"Ha ha ha ha!"

The pirates burst into laughter, mocking them:

"Three mere marines dare to come to Firestone Island!"

"We could drown you all with just a spit from each of us!"

The pirates chattered excitedly, but suddenly felt a chill that sent shivers down their spines, and they fell silent.

Aaron's gaze swept coldly over the pirates, and he spotted one of them whom he had seen on the stack of bounty posters.

"We're not major admirals," said Finbdi. "This is my boss, Colonel Aaron. You might not have heard his name, but you've definitely heard his nickname. He's the Butcher of the Sea, the one who kills pirates!"

"hiss!"

Dozens of pirates leaned back in unison, and some of the more timid ones even turned to run away.

"Musketeer" Bonasch's expression changed, but he forced himself to remain calm. "Sea Butcher? Never heard of him. You might be able to scare ordinary pirates, but you can't scare me that easily!"

Bonahieu thrust his right hand forward abruptly, and the gunshot rang out.

His movements were sudden and unexpected, and the distance was so close that there was no reason why he wouldn't hit him.

Aaron's expression remained unchanged as he waved his right hand in front of him.

"Impossible! Catching a bullet with your bare hands?" Bonasch's eyes widened. "That's something a colonel like you couldn't possibly do! You're kidding me!"

Aaron twitched his fingers, and a deflated bullet appeared between his thumb and forefinger.

Bonasch raised his hand and pulled the trigger with his index finger.

With a "whoosh," Bonasch's head snapped back, revealing a gaping hole in his forehead.

His index finger was already halfway down; just one more millimeter and the pistol would fire.

However, he had lost all his strength, and even breathing had become a luxury.

Bonasch collapsed to the ground with a thud, his eyes wide open, dead.

"Whoa! Run!"

The dozens of pirates were terrified and scattered like birds and beasts.

Aaron pointed to one of them and said, "Lark, that's also an escapee from Impel Down. Take him out first."

"yes!"

Hibari raised his gun, moved the barrel, and aimed at the back of the pirate's head.

With a loud "bang!", the pirate collapsed to the ground.

The dock was now deserted, but Aaron continued walking slowly for several dozen meters until he reached a main road that was thirty or forty meters wide.

The street stretches for two hundred years, with stalls on both sides that haven't been cleared away yet, and fruits and vegetables scattered on the ground.

A few people were peeking out from a distance. When they saw Aaron and his two companions, they were startled at first, then slammed the doors and windows shut and hid.

The lark hopped onto the roof, looked around for a while, and then jumped down.

"Senior Aaron, this town isn't very big, less than two kilometers in circumference. There's a big house on the other side of town; Fossa should live there."

Aaron said, "Let's wait for him here."

Aaron shook his head, stretched, and then walked to the fruit stand by the roadside.

"Hey boss, how much is this watermelon?"

No one responded from inside the room, so Aaron could only shout, "Just take it as ten thousand Berries. Keep the change, and I won't make up the difference if it's less."

Aaron pulled out a 10,000-Berry banknote, placed it on top of the apple, then picked up a watermelon, his other hand already drawing a knife.

Aaron simply swung his sword lightly, then sheathed it.

Lark, standing nearby, was startled, worried that Aaron might cut his hand.

Aaron gently shook his hand, and the watermelon was split into eight pieces.

"Here, have some melon to soothe your throat."

Without any hesitation, Fombardier grabbed a slice of watermelon with each hand, took a bite, and exclaimed, "This watermelon is so sweet!"

Yun Que also took a slice of watermelon and took a bite: "Hmm, indeed, it's sweeter than any watermelon I've ever eaten. It must be related to the special soil and climate here; the large temperature difference makes it easy for sugar to accumulate."

As the three ate watermelon, a large crowd began to appear at one end of the street.

Finbdi perked up: "Boss, you're here!"

The group of people walked 10 meters away and stopped. The person in the middle was Fossa.

Fossa was still dressed the same, his chest exposed, a cigarette dangling from his lips, but the ferocity in his eyes was gone.

He squinted and sized Aaron up: "It's you! So your name is Aaron!"

Aaron said, "Fosa, you stabbed me in the back during the Marineford War. I'm going to settle that score with you today."

Fossa sneered, "Trying to settle scores with me? You don't even know your own limitations! You've only brought three people; aren't you afraid of losing your lives here?"

Aaron smiled calmly and said, "Then we'll see if you have the ability."

Fossa slowly drew his sword, and with each inch he drew it out, an inch more flame appeared on the blade.

"kill!"

Before Fossa could give the order, a pirate shouted and charged forward with a knife in hand.

The other pirates followed suit, roaring loudly.

Aaron drew his sword, swung it, and a sword aura slashed horizontally.

The first few pirates immediately spat out a mist of blood, and their bodies were instantly split in two.

Fossa leaped up and rushed to the front.

"Back off! You're no match for them, don't throw your lives away!"

The pirates, who had already stopped, immediately retreated upon hearing Fossa's command.

Fossa, with a cigar in his mouth, seemed to have a flame in his eyes that burned brighter than the flames on the blade.

"bring it on!"

"Come!"

A curtain of flames instantly spread out; Fossa had already made his move.

"Double Blazing Slashes!"

An "X"-shaped cross of flames appeared in the curtain of fire and crashed into Aaron.

Aaron flicked his wrist, and flames instantly engulfed the blade.

He swung the knife forward again, and flames shot out, instantly splitting the cross of flames and opening a passage.

Fossa had already rushed over, his blade slashing down at a 45-degree angle from left to right.

"Clang clang clang..." A series of fine metallic clanging sounds rang out, like countless raindrops falling on tiles.

In the blink of an eye, the two had exchanged dozens of blows.

Fosa saw that Aaron's swordsmanship was truly extraordinary, and it would be difficult to defeat him by relying on techniques alone.

So he immediately changed tactics, using his physical and strength advantages, hoping to achieve a miracle through sheer force.

"kill!"

With a sudden, powerful strike, Fosa cleaved the mountain with his long sword, bringing it crashing down from above.

Aaron did not take the hit head-on, nor did he retreat.

When Fossa raised his knife high, his chest and abdomen were exposed, which was his weakness.

Of all martial arts techniques in the world, none are invincible except for speed.

Aaron lunged forward, his knife already slicing into Fossa's right side.

The two figures passed each other and then stopped.

Everyone around held their breath, unsure of who would win.

Fossa turned around and said in a deep voice, "Such a fast blade!"

Fossa touched his right rib and found his hand covered in blood. A sharp pain then shot through him.

Aaron turned around, his face calm: "Fosa, today is your death day!"

A smile broke out on Forsa's ashen face: "Come on!"

Aaron narrowed his eyes, about to make a move, when a cannon shot rang out from the seaside.
