The fairy maid cheers for her deceased master today.
085 can be safely entrusted to Sophie.
The lady's fingertips lightly traced the carved patterns on the box, a look of amazement flashing in her eyes: "This pattern is a perfect match for my dressing table in the bedroom..."
She paused, then looked at a gear-shaped spring beside her. "Can this be used to replace the spring in my pocket watch?"
"Oh, of course, Your Excellency." Sophie picked up the spring, twisting it between her fingertips to show it off. "This spring is made of an alloy coating, making it three times more durable than a regular steel spring, and it's almost silent when it runs—just like your perfume, understated yet unforgettable."
The noblewoman was quite pleased with what she heard and bought all the goods with great satisfaction. However, she needed to order a jewelry box engraved with her family crest, which would require further processing.
Sophie immediately pulled out a small notebook from her deep cleavage and took out a pen to record the deal: she preferred a rose gold-rimmed jewelry box, needed expedited engraving, and wanted to pick it up next week.
Seeing the curious look on Ax's face, Sophie smiled and showed him her notebook. Even from a distance, Ax could tell it was a record of clients' needs.
Angel stood behind Ex and whispered, "Master, Sister Sophie speaks so sweetly!"
"Yes, that's why you need to learn more."
Ax nodded slightly in agreement.
Sophie not only knew how to deal with nobles, but also how to communicate in their familiar language—she could always accurately grasp the potential needs of her guests, a skill that was extremely valuable.
Around noon, the workshop suddenly saw an increase in customers.
Three well-dressed gentlemen entered at the same time. They said they had met a friend on the way and were attracted by the friend's introduction.
I never expected that noble lady to be so enthusiastic.
The silver-haired gentleman at the head of the group wore gold-rimmed glasses and had the Cambridge University crest pinned to his chest; the man in the middle, wearing a tailcoat, had mother-of-pearl cufflinks peeking out from his sleeves; and the plump gentleman at the back was toying with an antique pocket watch.
"I've heard that the mechanical parts here are very exquisite?" the silver-haired gentleman asked.
Sophie bowed gracefully, her gaze sweeping over the three men in turn: "Yes, gentlemen. Each piece has undergone thirty manual processes, as perfect as the badges you wear, all are the result of exquisite craftsmanship."
She looked at the silver-haired gentleman and pointed to the bronze astronomical clock paperweight in the display case: "You must be a scholar, right? The gears on the base of this paperweight will rotate over time, simulating the trajectory of the sun, moon and stars, and it can also emit a soft glow at night—place it on your desk, and it can both flatten documents and serve as a small lamp for indoor nighttime use."
The introduction was very targeted. The silver-haired gentleman was clearly somewhat interested.
The man in the tuxedo's gaze fell on a pair of silver gear-shaped cufflinks: "These cufflinks... can rotate?"
Sophie smiled, took off her cufflinks and handed them to him, her fingertips gently turning the tiny knob on the side:
"Of course, sir. You see, these gears are not just for decoration; they are also adjustable—tighter for a formal evening event, and looser for a more comfortable ride on the weekend. And each pair of cufflinks is engraved with a unique number, just like your family crest."
The man in the tuxedo then examined the cufflinks closely. He was quite taken with them.
The chubby gentleman stroked his chin and looked at a mechanical folder with a combination lock: "I need something to put important contracts in, preferably one that no one else can open."
Sophie smiled and opened the folder, revealing a password gear inside:
"This folder uses a three-gear combination lock, which can only be opened with the combination you know. Moreover, the inner layer is made of waterproof chamois paper, so even if you accidentally spill coffee, it won't damage the documents—perfect for a gentleman like you."
The three gentlemen exchanged smiles and each selected their favorite items.
Angel wasn't idle either; she carried a tea tray and carefully served black tea to the guests. Although her movements were a little clumsy, her attitude was very serious, and her blue eyes shone with focused attention.
"The maids here are lovely," the silver-haired gentleman said with a smile.
Sophie gently patted Angel's head: "Yes, she is learning how to be a proper lady. As the Queen once taught, elegance is cultivated in the details—just like our products, every gear must fit perfectly."
X stood behind the counter, quietly observing everything.
Sophie's performance was indeed impressive; she seemed to be transforming the workshop into an elegant social space—she even placed a small round table covered with a velvet tablecloth next to the display case for guests to rest while appreciating the products.
This is truly a high level of skill. Even Elena is now ashamed of herself.
After the gentlemen left, Sophie once again pulled out her notebook from her ample cleavage and scribbled down some notes. Axe thought she was probably summarizing the guests' information.
After observing for two hours, Ax felt that he could indeed entrust the workshop to Sophie with peace of mind.
Sophie's elegance inspires a strong sense of trust. Furthermore, her identity information is complete, verified by relevant institutions, and her documents don't appear to be forged; in short, she can be trusted.
Just kidding, Ax seriously doubted that the necklace around Sophie's neck was worth half the workshop's value. She must have made a fortune in the noble shops before. Surely she wouldn't empty the workshop when no one was around...
"Sophie, the workshop is now in your hands," Ax said.
Sophie gave a graceful bow: "Rest assured, dear Sir. I will take good care of the workshop. You are on your way to..."
Before Ax and Elena could answer, Angel readily replied, "We're going to the Royal Magical Association!"
"Yes, something's come up, so I'll leave things here to you for now."
"Have a safe journey," Sophie said with a smile.
Ax and his group left.
Inside the Miracle Workshop, Sophie maintained her perfect smile, elegantly greeting each guest.
About an hour later, when only one female customer remained in the workshop, Sophie gently pressed her finger to her lips.
"This guest?"
"Let me see... how's your work going?"
The woman was wearing a deep purple dress, the shadow of her hat obscuring most of her face. She looked around, her gaze lingering on the display case for a moment before finally settling on Sophie.
Sophie didn't respond to her words, but simply smiled and asked, "What would you like to buy?"
"Hmm? I've heard that the mechanical parts here are very exquisite," the customer said softly, his fingers gently tracing the glass surface of the display case.
"Yes, madam," Sophie replied with a smile, her eyes devoid of any emotion. "Each piece is meticulously crafted, as unique as the brooch you wear."
The customer's fingers paused slightly, then he gave a formulaic smile: "It is indeed very exquisite, but your words are too cliché."
Sophie's smile remained unchanged: "Then, what can I do for you?"
The guest looked around to make sure there were no other customers in the workshop before lowering his voice and saying, "Alright, Sophie, I'm here to collect information. The master wants to know how you're doing here. Give me the information quickly."
