On the screen, the softly drawn comic strip had just been completed.
In the video, Major General Ailand is busy in the kitchen, while Lin Luo stands by the kitchen door, filming Ailand cooking with a bright smile.
The other picture shows the two of them leaning on the sofa watching StarNet. Lin Luo is laughing so hard he's practically falling over, and he happens to be lying in Ailand's arms, while Ailand acts as his cushion, with a indulgent smile on his lips.
Every compartment is overflowing with warmth.
Lin Luo carefully preserved the painting, then turned to the air, extended her hand, and said gently with a smile, "Ailand, come here."
Almost the instant he finished speaking, he felt the weight of Eland.
"Look," Lin Luo turned the screen towards his palm, his fingertips lightly tracing the images.
"If you wake up, these are things we can do every day."
His voice lowered, filled with expectation, "So, you must wake up soon, Elland."
The spiritual entity in his palm bounced twice, conveying that he would definitely try his best!
Looking into his palm, Lin Luo instantly imagined a miniature, chibi version of Eland, clenching his little fist and solemnly promising to wake up. His heart melted at the sight.
A mischievous thought suddenly arose in his mind, and he grinned as he used his other hand to loosely circle his palm, fixing the spiritual entity in place.
Then he lowered his head and, with a "mua" sound, gave a solid kiss to the invisible yet distinctly present little thing in his palm!
He even imagined little Eland frantically trying to block his "attack" with his hands, his face flushed, looking both embarrassed and annoyed but unable to escape.
But for Ailand, the feeling was completely different.
Lin Luo's kiss landed directly on his mental core without any barrier, like a runaway electric current that unexpectedly pierced through his sea of consciousness!
That wasn't a physical sensation, but a more fundamental and overwhelming spiritual impact.
"boom--"
An indescribable, extremely intense tingling sensation exploded out, instantly engulfing every inch of sensation!
The feeling was so vivid that it almost made him tremble!
Lord Lin Luo... kissed the physical body of the spirit form directly, that's really... really... too much!
Eland could feel his toes curling uncontrollably, trying to resist the overwhelming, unfamiliar tide.
Lin Luo, the one who started it all, was completely unaware of what was happening. After kissing her, he ran away with a grin.
In high spirits, he uploaded the comic to StarNet with the caption:
"Ayland needs to wake up soon!" Then, she read through the flood of comments with great interest.
[StarNet Dynamics Comment Section]
"Ahhh, it's so sweet! Major General, wake up quickly, I'll pull you into my arms!"
"Waaaaah, what an amazing love story! I command you all to live like this right now!"
"(Lemon) Jealousy has distorted the insect beyond recognition! Look at me, Lord Linluo! I feel more pain for insects than any plant insect!"
"A female soldier from the front lines sends her congratulations! We eagerly await the Major General's return to shower us with sweetness!"
"Am I the only one who noticed that your drawing skills have improved again? The light and shadow are so warm and inviting!"
……
Lin Luo was amused by the diverse comments and was about to pick out a few interesting replies when suddenly—
A gentle yet undeniable touch landed precisely on his lips.
"!!!"
Lin Luo's pupils suddenly dilated, his body froze instantly, and his mind went blank.
The feeling... cool, soft, and easily broken upon touch.
"It's...it's Eland? He...he kissed me back?"
Lin Luo felt her cheeks suddenly burn, and her heart pounded in her chest.
He stammered, speaking to the air, his voice trembling slightly with disbelief:
"...Eland?"
As if in response to his call, to confirm his guess.
"Pop".
Another strike! With a hint of defiance, yet with utmost seriousness, it struck his lips again, clearer and more undeniable than before.
Lin Luo was completely stunned, covering her lips as if the strange touch still lingered, her face as red as a boiled shrimp, unable to utter a single word for a long time.
The "troublemaker" spirit, after completing this bold counterattack, seemed to have exhausted its courage and instantly retreated into Lin Luo's palm, pretending to be just a quiet and harmless ball of energy.

The royal gardens, the morning mist still lingering
The Insect King walked slowly along the stone path covered with morning dew, followed by Marshal Arnold.
"I've heard," the Insect King's voice rang out, devoid of emotion, "that Major General Ailand's mental state has improved somewhat?"
Arnold bowed slightly, his tone cautious:
"Your Majesty, the joint test results from the Imperial Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Medicine confirm this; the Major General's mental state has shown positive signs of reversal."
He paused slightly, "However... according to expert assessments, it may still take some time for consolidation and recovery before he is fully awake."
The Insect King's gaze swept over a cluster of golden-stamen flowers in full bloom, and he continued, "Was this all thanks to that child, Lin Luo?"
Arnold shook his head:
"The specific cause is still under investigation by the medical department. Dr. Parks maintains that the experimental treatments he used played a key role."
The Insect King didn't stop walking, only responding with a faint, "Is that so?"
After a brief silence, the Insect King spoke again, his tone still calm and even:
"Then congratulations, Arnold, your successor. It seems there is hope for recovery."
Arnold felt a pang of sadness as he looked at the Insect King's aloof figure.
Since that battle many years ago, when he was seriously injured and his reproductive organs were damaged, and he was deemed unable to have children, His Majesty and he have gradually drifted apart, as if they had become completely different people.
He could no longer tell whether the emperor who had spoken sweet words to him was sincere or driven by cold self-interest.
A moment of hesitation crossed his mind, but Arnold finally couldn't resist and whispered the question that had been lingering in his mind for so long:
"Your Majesty...do you wish for Major General Ailand to awaken?"
The Insect King suddenly stopped.
He slowly turned around, his deep golden eyes staring straight at Arnold with scrutiny and an indescribable sense of oppression.
Several seconds passed before the Insect King spoke again:
"Why wouldn't you want to?" he countered, his words clear and distinct.
"Major General Ailand is a highly decorated general and a rare talent in the Empire. If he can be revived, he will naturally be able to make even greater contributions to the Empire."
Arnold met the Insect King's gaze, trying to discern even the slightest trace of genuine emotion, but saw only an unfathomable calm.
He couldn't tell whether what those words were true or false.
He finally lowered his head, concealing the complex emotions in his eyes, and replied softly, "...Yes, Your Majesty."
The Insect King's gaze lingered on the man's lowered head for a moment before finally shifting away. He turned and continued walking along the stone path, leaving behind only a single, unreadable sentence:
"Good to know."
Arnold stood there, watching the Insect King's figure recede into the distance, and finally took a step and silently followed.
