Carlos chuckled, his fingertips tapping casually on the table:

"What's wrong, General Ross? Are you uneasy about your 'luck,' or do you doubt my decision?" Carlos asked sarcastically.

"All you need to know is that it is your good fortune to be able to give you the position of queen; as for the rest, it is not your concern."

He abruptly changed the subject, his gaze critically sweeping over Ross's posture and dining manners:

"However, since you are about to become my queen, some rules need to be established in advance."

"I don't like the rigid and inflexible mannerisms of female soldiers; they're disgusting to look at."

"Furthermore, I don't want to smell anything about Edge Planet in my residence."

Ross listened calmly, his face showing no sign of humiliation or anger.

He only spoke slowly after Carlos had finished:

"I understand your 'preferences'," Ross said.

"Just as the sandstorms of the edge planets were once a barrier protecting the peace of the empire, some marks cannot be easily erased, nor do they...require all insects to erase them."

"Easily?" Carlos raised an eyebrow, his tone sharp.

"I don't want excuses! If you can't even do something like this, then your position as queen..." Carlos said threateningly.

"I understand your meaning, sir." Ross nodded slightly. "I will carefully consider tonight's meeting with you."

Ross said no more. He glanced at the dazzling yet illusory starry sky outside the window and slowly stood up.

"Sir, please enjoy your meal. I have some military matters to attend to, so I must take my leave."

He bowed, took his leave, and then turned and left.

Carlos stared in disbelief as he left, all the pent-up emotions he had prepared for were trapped in his chest, and his face turned pale.

None of the scenes he had envisioned—neither Rose's gratitude nor his humiliation and forbearance—proven to occur...

How dare he?!

Carlos was utterly incredulous, but this was followed by immense rage!

"This is outrageous!"

The doorbell rang, and Lin Luo opened the door to find Voske and Theodore, as well as Dr. Parks carrying a medical kit.

"Lin Luo! You're really something, managing to get kidnapped even on the capital planet!"

Theodore struck first, walking in without ceremony and giving Lin Luo a light but firm punch on the shoulder.

Lin Luo grinned and stepped aside to let him in, then quickly begged for mercy:

"Yes, yes, it's my fault, it's my fault! Thank you for your magnanimity, Your Excellency Theodore! If it weren't for your quick thinking, I might have really been killed out there."

He paused, then his tone became more serious. "Really, thank you, Theodore."

Theodore plopped down on the sofa, looked Lin Luo up and down to make sure he was still the same as before, then lazily sank into the sofa, even letting out a small yawn, and mumbled, "Good to know..."

Voske followed closely behind, naturally sitting down next to Theodore and carefully adjusting the cushions to make the master more comfortable.

"Tsk tsk tsk," Lin Luo looked at the oblivious couple and deliberately shook his head, "This clinginess is so strong, even a dog would shake its head in disgust."

"Your Excellency Lin Luo," Parks said, carrying a suitcase, "I'll go and examine the Major General first."

"Alright, Doctor, please." Lin Luo turned around.

"Let's do something serious, unlike some insects who seem to have no bones at all!"

Upon hearing this, Theodore glanced sideways and let out a soft snort as a response, too lazy to even utter a rebuttal.

Dr. Parks connected the testing equipment, and a pale blue scanning halo enveloped Aland.

Lin Luo stood to the side, unconsciously holding her breath, her fingertips curling slightly.

In the past few days, Eland's consciousness has become increasingly active, often focusing around him, and sometimes it will deliberately bump into him gently, as if to remind him of its presence.

Lin Luo was filled with hope and eagerly wanted confirmation from the doctor.

The data on the instrument screen scrolled rapidly. Dr. Parks stared intently at the screen, his brows furrowing at first, then suddenly relaxing, his eyes flashing with unbelievable surprise!

"This...this is simply a miracle!" His voice trembled with excitement as he pointed to several key energy flows and fluctuation curves on the screen.

"Your Excellency, look! The Major General's spiritual sea is no longer a lifeless ruin; it...it has begun to revive!"

"Although the process is slow, the core area is indeed showing signs of stabilization and self-repair!"

He suddenly turned to Lin Luo, his eyes burning:

"Your Excellency Lin Luo! I don't know exactly what you've been doing lately, but please, please keep it up!"

"This is unprecedented in medicine! The major general... he really has a chance to wake up!"

The doctor thought to himself: As expected! Lord Lin Luo is the most special existence! His spiritual power, or rather his very existence, is the key to awakening the Major General!

Lin Luo's heart finally settled down, and she let out a long sigh of relief, smiling with a sense of accomplishment.

"That's great!" Lin Luo immediately followed up with, "Doctor, at this rate, how much longer will it take for Ayland to wake up?"

Upon hearing this, Dr. Parks' excited expression subsided slightly, and he regained his professional caution.

He shook his head, his tone serious:

"I'm sorry, Your Excellency, I cannot give a specific timeframe. The Major General's situation is too unique, and the repair process of his mental sea is fraught with uncertainty."

"I need to monitor the situation regularly to see if this recovery trend can be stabilized and sustained before I can make any further judgments."

"Okay, by the way, Doctor, there's one more thing..."

"Huh?" Parks put down the data panel and looked at him in confusion.

"I... can sense the gathering of Ailand's consciousness," Lin Luo organized his thoughts, trying to describe it as clearly as possible.

"Have you seen cases where it's even 'touchable'?"

Parks's confusion deepened: "Your Excellency, what do you mean?"

"That's right, I'll call Ailand's consciousness the 'Consciousness Cluster' for now."

"It's like an invisible little ball now, able to communicate with me in a simple way. Only I can sense its presence. We've tested it, and other insects can't sense it."

Lin Luo further explained, "Moreover, when I was kidnapped, his consciousness even briefly coalesced into a phantom image to protect me, although it only lasted for a moment before dissipating."

Dr. Parks was completely stunned, his mouth slightly agape, his face filled with shock.

He suddenly looked at Eland, who was still fast asleep on the bed, and then at Lin Luo, his eyes filled with curiosity and excitement.

"You mean... the Major General's consciousness is actually clear? And he can exist and act in this unique way?"

He felt his understanding was being challenged, because this was completely inconsistent with the theory that consciousness would fall silent after the collapse of the mental sea.

"But... although the fluctuation data of the mental sea shows a recovery, it does not exhibit typical characteristics of a clear mind..."

Parks fell into thought, and at the same time, an irrepressible desire to conduct research surged into his heart.

Consciousness can detach from the physical body and manifest itself? And it can even interact with specific objects?

This is simply an unprecedented miracle in the field of psychiatry!

If we could carefully study the Major General's mental structure at this moment and observe the energy flow...
