"Young Taoist priest, is what you say true? Don't try to fool me, Old Lu. If Master Tongmiao finds out when he returns, you must testify for me, young Taoist priest." Master Lu hesitated for a moment after hearing Wang Zhenhuan's words.

"Of course, don't worry, sir. Since it is I who have asked for your help, I will certainly not make things difficult for you. How about this, sir, come with me to investigate? You can also serve as a witness." Wang Huanzhen said, cupping his hands in greeting.

"Well... alright then. This is a one-time exception, and there won't be any more. Also, if there's nothing left for you in the room, please don't go in and search, okay?" Master Lu asked Wang Zhenhuan.

"Don't worry, I'll do as you say, Master. I'm just going to confirm something, not to look for anything. You can rest assured, Master," Wang Zhenhuan assured him.

He had only been thinking about finding Master Lu to clarify the location of the room, without considering the consequences. Now, hearing Master Lu's words, he realized that he had indeed acted inappropriately.

After all, Master Chong Hezi wasn't home at the moment, and going to someone else's room without permission would indeed be somewhat offensive. However, upon further reflection, Master Chong Hezi had agreed to his request first, and then disappeared again.

He had broken his promise first, and besides, he wasn't going to steal anything; he was just going to take a look. He reassured himself. Then, Master Lu put down his spoon and gave the old woman a few words of advice.

He then left the kitchen and walked towards the courtyard. Wang Zhen followed closely behind, and together they arrived at a side room in the backyard. This side room was located due east and was where the host and guests stayed.

Standing in front of the door, Master Lu turned to Wang Zhenhuan and asked again, "Young Taoist priest, you promised me you'd only look and not go in. If Master Tongmiao didn't leave you anything, you should come out as soon as possible."

"Rest assured, Master Lu, a man of his word is as good as his bond. I will not make things difficult for you," Wang Zhenhuan said, cupping his hands in a gesture of respect. Master Lu was finally at ease upon hearing this.

He took out several iron rod-like objects, about the length of a palm, from his waist. These were the keys to most of the rooms in the mansion. After searching through them, he took one out.

He inserted the pin into the keyhole, and the brass lock opened with a click. After removing the lock, Master Lu pushed open the door, gestured for Wang Zhenhuan to enter, and then said, "Young Taoist priest, hurry up, it won't be good if Madam sees us."

"Yes, I understand. Please wait a moment, Master." Wang Huanzhen nodded, then went inside and looked around. The room was very clean, showing that it was regularly cleaned.

The bedding was neatly folded, and after confirming that there was nothing on the bed, Wang Zhen turned his gaze to the table. To his surprise, the table was also completely empty.

There was only a teapot and a few teacups on the table. Just as he was wondering if he had guessed wrong, he suddenly noticed that the cloth under the teacups looked rather out of place.

In guest rooms, teacups are typically placed on wooden trays. Only in the host's house are cloth trays used. This is partly to distinguish status, and partly because cloth trays need to be changed frequently.

The strange thing is this: the place where Daoist Chonghezi was staying was the main guest room. It should have been a wooden tray, but what Wang Zhenhuan saw was a cloth tray.

This is what caught his attention. But before he could go forward to check, Master Lu at the door saw him standing still and assumed that he had not found anything, so he urged him on.

"Young Taoist priest, since Master Tongmiao has nothing to leave you, you'd better come out quickly. It won't be good if someone sees you."

"Ah, Master Lu, don't be in such a hurry. I'll be right out." Wang Zhenhuan said, then hurriedly stepped forward, his back to Master Lu. Without even looking, he snatched the cloth coaster, put it in his pocket, and turned to leave.

Master Lu breathed a sigh of relief when he saw him come out. He then peeked into the room to make sure it was the same as when he came in before closing the door and locking the brass lock again.

After locking the door, the advisor smiled and looked at Wang Zhenhuan, saying, "Young Taoist priest, have you found what you're looking for? I see that Master Tongmiao's room is spotless; I'm afraid he didn't leave you anything, did he?"

"Haha, you're right, Master. I was overthinking things. Since there's nothing here, let's wait for Master Chonghe to return. Please keep this a secret, Master." Wang Zhenhuan laughed and then cupped his hands in greeting.

"Oh, young Taoist priest, you're too kind. It was nothing, just a small favor. It's best to avoid doing things like this in the future, since it's not exactly something to be proud of," Master Lu said with a smile, waving his hand.

"What you say is true, Master. I only came up with this idea on a whim. It's rare that you're willing to indulge in my folly. In this freezing weather, I'll give you this small amount of money so you can have a meal." Wang Zhenhuan said, taking out some loose silver from his pocket.

Master Lu smiled and waved his hand, declining, "Young Taoist priest, you're too kind. It's nothing urgent. I, Old Lu, am not an unapproachable person. If you have nothing else, Taoist priest, I'll return to the kitchen now."

"Alright, Master, go ahead and get busy. I'll go back on my own." Wang Zhenhuan smiled and nodded at him, watching his back disappear around the corner of the corridor before turning and walking back to his room.

He was incredibly excited and eager to go back and see if the cloth contained anything that Okiko had left for him, just as he suspected. It only took him a dozen breaths to get from the backyard to the front yard.

Back in his room, he lit the lamp. In the dim light, Wang Huanzhen took out the cloth from his robes, unfolded it, and placed it on the table. He then looked closely. There, clearly written, were four large characters:

Five thunders rectification!

Wang Zhenhuan was overjoyed and immediately looked down with great eagerness. As he looked, he compared it with what the Black Horn Immortal had left in his mind, trying to see what the differences were.

And so, he gazed at it all night long. The cloth tablecloth was small, but it was covered with tiny characters, both on the front and back. Beside it were Daoist Chong Hezi's cultivation insights.

This single piece of cloth is of immeasurable value. As expected of the person who created the Thunder Technique, the Thunder Technique recorded on this cloth, although not much different in essence from the original, has many different details.

Wang Zhenhuan grew increasingly delighted as he read, and at the same time, he felt utterly admiring of Chonghe Zhenren. He was able to reconstruct over 80% of the Five Thunder Orthodox Method based solely on scattered records from ancient texts.

Ninety percent of it is even similar to the original, with only minor improvements in some details. This is simply astonishing! No wonder Chonghe Zhenren, at such a young age, has already been appreciated by the Emperor of the Song Dynasty!

Compared to him, Wang really felt like a useless person!
