Chapter 095 Minato Namikaze's Predicament

After two weeks of communication, the two delegations from Kumogakure and Kirigakure finally left Konoha.

The departure of the two delegations brought a sigh of relief to the Konoha leadership, especially to Hokage Minato Namikaze.

For the past two weeks, Minato Namikaze had been actively on guard against the two envoys from Kumogakure and Kirigakure. Now that they were gone, he could finally relax a little.

Uzumaki Hanamichi also breathed a sigh of relief. During the two delegations, he and the members of the first squad of the Anbu had a lot of tasks. Almost all the squad members were busy. He, in particular, had to secretly monitor Killer Bee alone for a long time after the Ninjutsu Exchange Conference. In addition, there was the work at the Midnight Diner. He was almost in an overloaded state of work.

Watching the members of the two delegations from Kumogakure and Kirigakure disappear from sight, Uzumaki Hanamichi leisurely returned to the village, and then headed towards the Hokage Building.

In no time, he arrived at the Hokage's office.

Upon seeing Uzumaki Hanamichi, Minato Namikaze asked with a relaxed expression, "Both delegations have left?"

Whirlpool Flower Path nodded.

Minato Namikaze: "Ado, thank you for your hard work these past few days."

Whirlpool Flower Path: "Comparatively speaking, it's not that hard."

During his time as the captain of the first squad of the Anbu, Uzumaki Hanamichi Minato Namikaze had a deeper level of observation. Although he was quite familiar with Minato Namikaze before, his observation point was different now. His current observation point was Minato Namikaze's identity as the Hokage of Konoha.

It must be admitted that Minato Namikaze was a very competent Hokage. He had many unique skills in handling daily affairs and dealing with emergencies. Moreover, in terms of interpersonal relationships, although young, Minato was quite experienced, calm and composed, and knew how to be patient.

Uzumaki Hanamichi believed that Namikaze Minato would be an excellent Hokage, but Konoha was not currently under his control. His title of Hokage was more symbolic, with real power held by the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi and other senior Konoha officials such as Shimura Danzo.

Minato Namikaze smiled and said, "Now that the two delegations have left, we can all relax a bit. You can take a couple of days off."

Uzumaki Hanamichi: "I'll consider taking a vacation, but I'm afraid it's not possible right now."

Upon hearing this, Minato Namikaze's expression shifted: "What's wrong?"

Uzumaki Hanamichi: "I was attacked on my way back from the Midnight Diner last night."

Minato Namikaze's face turned serious: "An attack?"

Uzumaki Hanamichi: "Hmm, but that person's strength is average, about Chunin level."

Minato Namikaze: "Have you confirmed the other party's identity?"

Uzumaki Hanamichi: "His exact identity is uncertain, but he should be from the Root organization."

Without hesitation, Uzumaki Hanamichi described in detail the situation he had encountered online the previous day to Namikaze Minato.

After listening to Uzumaki Hanamichi's description, Minato Namikaze seemed to be deep in thought: "If I'm not mistaken, it should be Danzo Shimura's order. Although Root is part of the Anbu, it is completely controlled by Danzo Shimura. Even now that I am Hokage, I can hardly command Root."

Uzumaki Hanamichi nodded: "Yes, I suspect he was testing my identity."

Minato Namikaze said with some concern, "Since you let that person go, Danzo Shimura has probably already guessed your identity, or rather, the identity of Wolf Fang, the captain of the first squad of the Anbu. Ado, this is my fault. If it weren't for the ninjutsu exchange meeting, Danzo Shimura probably wouldn't have suspected you at all."

Uzumaki Hanamichi: "I guessed this would happen when I fought Killer Bee. It doesn't matter if they find out my identity; it was just a matter of time."

Minato Namikaze: "Your identity is unlikely to be revealed by Danzo Shimura."

Whirlpool Flower Path: "Hmm."

Minato Namikaze sighed softly, "Although the two delegations from Kumogakure and Kirigakure have left, the crisis facing Konoha is not over. We still need to be vigilant. However, the external pressure may be able to ease."

Uzumaki Hanamichi: "What are you planning to do next?"

Minato Namikaze: "Right now, all I can do is try my best and take it one step at a time."

Whirlpool Flower Path: "Taking it one step at a time is a bit passive."

Minato Namikaze raised an eyebrow slightly: "Ado, what are your thoughts?"

Uzumaki Hanamichi didn't rush to answer, remaining silent for a moment: "The external conflicts can indeed be put on hold for now, but we must also actively address some internal issues. I think there are two core problems at the moment."

"The first is the Root organization. I also know about your becoming the Fourth Hokage. Shimura Danzo seems to be more interested in becoming the Hokage. He has the Root organization as his trump card, and he also has a lot of support behind him. If this force is allowed to grow stronger, it will be a great threat to the stability of Konoha."

"Another issue concerns the Uchiha clan. Since the Second Hokage, there has been a policy of relatively isolating the Uchiha clan. Currently, the Uchiha clan is gradually becoming marginalized. I am worried that once it reaches a certain point, something might happen to the Uchiha clan."

……

In front of Minato Namikaze, Hanamichi Uzumaki didn't hide anything and roughly described some of his thoughts on Konoha. At present, he felt that Konoha must resolve its internal conflicts as soon as possible, and the most important core conflict was between Danzo Shimura and the Uchiha clan.

Minato Namikaze listened to Hanamichi Uzumaki's description with considerable surprise. Although he and Hanamichi Uzumaki had communicated before, they had not discussed Konoha's deeper issues in detail. The two core issues that Hanamichi Uzumaki mentioned were actually the two problems that he believed needed to be solved the most. Their thoughts were in sync.

Taking a deep breath, Minato Namikaze said somewhat helplessly, "Ado, your analysis makes a lot of sense. Actually, I've also considered these two core contradictions, but solving them won't be easy. First of all, the power I, as Hokage, hold is very limited. The power of the village is mainly dispersed among the various high-ranking officials of Konoha."

Uzumaki Hanamichi nodded. He was very clear about Minato Namikaze's situation as Hokage. Much of the real power was in the hands of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, and Danzo Shimura. Even though he had his own Anbu, the Anbu's power was also infiltrated by various forces. With the strength Minato Namikaze currently had, it would indeed be difficult for him to solve the problems of the Root organization and the Uchiha clan.

However, Uzumaki Hanamichi had also considered these issues. At present, the most important thing that Namikaze Minato needs to do is to actively cultivate his own power, so that he can at least have enough influence in the upper echelons of Konoha.
