The shift from offense to defense.

After being humiliated by Li Ang's touchdown, the attacking team, like a herd of enraged rhinos, stormed onto the field with murderous intent.

They desperately needed a crushing, violent attack to save face.

Crush that arrogant Chinese kid and his second ragtag squad!

The second team's defense was slightly boosted by Li Ang's touchdown and encouragement.

However, they faced opponents whose overall physical fitness, tactical awareness, and individual abilities far surpassed their own.

Moreover, the attacking line, with bloodshot eyes and looking like wounded wild beasts, still seemed powerless.

Like a small boat tossed about in a storm.

Weak, pitiful, and helpless.

After the first team kicked off, possession was not given to the backup quarterback, Jonas, a high school freshman whose mentality was obviously unstable.

Instead, it was handed directly to Bruce, who was now like an enraged bull.

In rugby rules, it is perfectly reasonable and legal for the offensive center to carry the ball and attack, but it is generally impossible for any team to adopt this tactic.

This strategy is extremely risky and has a very low return.

But clearly, the style of a genius is to break all conventional definitions.

Bruce is undoubtedly that kind of genius.

Bruce was like a powder keg that had been ignited.

With his terrifying core strength, explosive power, and brute force, and with excellent cover from his teammates who were also holding back their fierce determination, he broke through the two layers of defense hastily and somewhat loosely formed by the second team's defensive front line in an almost overwhelming and unreasonable manner.

He was like a heavy tank with the accelerator floored, rumbling and crushing towards the end zone.

The second team's defenders did their best to try and stop them.

The line guard lunged at his lower body without hesitation, but was brought down by his strong lower body strength;

The security guard lunged from the side to grab him, but was blocked by his strong arm and staggered to the ground;

Finally, in front of the end zone, two defensive players grabbed his waist and thighs tightly from both sides.

But that still couldn't stop him from using his powerful momentum to smash the ball across the scoring line with a roar!

"Beep—!"

Touchdown valid!

The Duke coach blew his whistle, a sound of relief and triumph over defeat.

It was also a super efficient first-down offensive touchdown.

Bruce's touchdown style is full of pure power, violence, and the aesthetics of crushing.

This formed a stark and striking contrast to Li Ang's nimble, swift, and artistic return touchdown.

The first team's bench erupted in a huge, cathartic cheer and roar.

It was as if he wanted to shout out all the frustration and humiliation he had just felt.

"Bruce! Bruce! Bruce!!"

A unified chant rang out from the many Bruce supporters watching from the sidelines.

"Damn, this is more like it!"

An audience member who looked like an older student slapped his thigh hard, a relieved smile spreading across his face.

"Unlike that flashy Chinese kid's game, this is real power! That's how a real man plays! Charge in! Crush them!"

"Bruce, once he's provoked, is like a bull that's been irritated by a red cloth..."

Another audience member gasped, his face filled with awe:

"That collision just now, my God, even two people carrying him couldn't stop him? Is he even human?"

"This is our trump card! No matter how fast that 'light-speed runner' can run, can he withstand this kind of impact?"

"See that?! Kids! This is real rugby! Power! Domination! A man's sport!"

Coach Duke seized the opportunity to roar at the second team, spitting as he spoke, his face once again displaying a smug, all-encompassing expression of control.

"Relying on clever tricks and fancy maneuvers is utterly useless in the face of absolute strength! You all better see this clearly!"

Next, the special operations team of Team One went on the field to shoot for extra points.

Their kickers are experienced veterans with a calm mindset.

The run-up, the kick, the shot – all done in one fluid motion.

"Whoosh—!"

The rugby ball traced a beautiful high parabola, passing perfectly through the center of the goal without the slightest deviation.

Bonus points hit!

The score became 7-6.

Team One successfully took the lead by one point.

On the second team's side, the slight morale and hope that had just been boosted by Li Ang's miraculous touchdown visibly withered and dissipated, like a punctured balloon.

The vast gap in strength was like a bucket of ice water, shattering their newly formed, unrealistic fantasies.

One team easily overtook the score and scored an extra point with just one attack, a simple and powerful drive.

This stark contrast in power is enough to evoke a sense of despair.

The offense and defense switched again, and it was the second team's offensive group's turn to play.

There are forty seconds left for tactical discussion before the next kickoff.

Li Ang gathered the ten members of the attacking group together, forming a tight circle to isolate them from the outside noise and the mocking or pitying glances.

Everyone was looking at him.

His eyes held the frustration of being hit hard by reality.

There is resentment

Feeling uneasy

There was also a faint hope pinned on Li Ang.

Listen up, guys!

Li Ang's voice wasn't loud, but it reached everyone's ears with exceptional clarity, carrying a strange power that could calm people down.

"Raise your heads and look at me."

The team members did as instructed.

"How did they get that touchdown?"

Li Ang's gaze slowly swept over each face, whether youthful or tense.

"It relied on brute force and anger. It was because I humiliated them and they were eager to regain their face, like a pack of mad dogs whose bones had been stolen."

His humorous and vivid metaphor immediately made several team members grin.

"This is easy to guess and easy to deal with."

Li Ang continued, his tone calm yet confident.

"Because anger makes people lose their minds, it makes them only think about charging forward. Bruce is strong, I know how strong he is better than any of you. But even the strongest warrior, if all he thinks about is venting, his actions become predictable."

"But we're different. How did we win? With our brains, our teamwork, our discipline, and our determination to win and our fear of losing that we had even more than them! Forget that damn score, forget what a piece of crap they are!"

"Remember, just minutes ago, I, one of us, took a return touchdown from them! They are not invincible gods; they are human, they make mistakes, they get angered, and they make mistakes!"

He crouched down and quickly drew simple lines and symbols on the grass with his fingertips.

"In this next round, we'll be using a tactic. It's simple, but each of you needs to trust me and your brothers to execute it flawlessly and meticulously! Act like a true unit! Can you promise me you'll do it?"

Everyone immediately perked up and said in unison:

"able!"

"very good!"

"The five forwards."

Li Ang pointed to the five big men who were responsible for protecting him.

"On my command, everyone, abandon the usual pocket defense. After the kickoff, one-on-one, mark your assigned defensive forward tightly!"

"No matter what method you use, grab his waist, press against his chest, push him down, even if it's just to block him for a second, to prevent him from attacking me immediately! Your task is not to protect me, but to hold them off! Understand?"

The five offensive linemen looked at each other in dismay. This tactic sounded risky, completely abandoning the protection of the quarterback.

But seeing the unwavering determination in Li Ang's eyes, they gritted their teeth and nodded forcefully:

"clear!"

"Wide receiver, running back!"

Li Ang looked at the others:

"Your job is to run routes, create as much space as possible, and draw the attention of the opposing second defense, especially those two safety guards! Make it look like you're about to receive the ball, the more realistic the better! Spread out your defensive formation!"

"As for you, Terry."

Li Ang finally looked at the tall, thin, long-armed black wide receiver.

Terry immediately straightened his back, looking at Li Ang with a mixture of nervousness and anticipation.

"Your mission is the most important!"

Li Ang drew a clear diagonal line on the grass with his fingertip, pointing to a corner deep in the end area.

"See this opening? When I shout the code word 'Brother,' don't hesitate, charge straight for it with all your might!"

"Remember, run in a straight line, at top speed! Then, immediately turn around! Keep your eyes fixed on me like hooks, and on the ball! I'll deliver the ball to you! Understand?"

Terry nervously swallowed, feeling his palms sweating.

But looking into Li Ang's calm eyes, which were filled with absolute trust, he nodded firmly, his voice unusually resolute:

"Okay, Li, brother! I understand!"

"Alright! Everyone else, screen, move, draw the defense's attention! Don't worry, Bruce's on me!"

Li Ang concluded by saying that his gaze was as sharp as a knife.

"Come on, give me your hand! Let them see what teamwork is! What tactics are! What it means to play with your brain!"

"Brothers, let's go!"

Everyone made a fist bumping gesture together, and when they looked up again, their momentum had been completely renewed.
