I revived the Demonic Sect in North America

Chapter 33, The Second Drop of Blood

Emily was crying her eyes out when she suddenly heard Li Ang's blunt confession, and she was stunned.

She was stunned for a while before sniffing, and said with a mixture of shyness and joy:

"This...this...Li Ang, are you sure you're serious?"

Li Ang didn't speak, but instead cupped Emily's face in his hands and stared at her intently.

Emily observed him carefully for a few seconds. Li Ang's eyes were clean and pure, without a trace of joking.

Emily finally couldn't suppress her emotions and cried and laughed at the same time:

"I do, Li Ang, I want to be your woman!"

Only then did the system notification sound in Li Ang's mind:

[Ding~ Congratulations, host, on successfully subduing a low-grade furnace cauldron, taking a crucial step towards the revival of your sect!]

[Task Reward: 1 tael of gold]

As the system notification sounded, Li Ang suddenly felt a hard object appear in his pocket.

Li Ang finally breathed a sigh of relief.

When he was supporting Emily just now, he was so scared that he almost fainted because the system notification that he had successfully subdued the furnace cauldron was not triggered.

Fortunately, Li Ang was quick-witted and immediately realized that the system task required conquering the furnace cauldron, which might not only require physical conquest but also mental conquest.

That's why Li Ang, contrary to his usual ruthless and heartless behavior, asked Emily afterwards if she would like to be his woman.

The good news is that Li Ang guessed the system's rules correctly and successfully obtained the mission reward.

The bad news is that the task of subduing the furnace cauldron is significantly more difficult than Li Ang originally anticipated!

Moreover, Li Ang was unsure whether the system would take back the rewards it had already given him if he abandoned Emily now.

Therefore, Li Ang needs to carefully consider how to deal with the girls afterward.

As Li Ang was deep in thought, a system notification suddenly sounded in his mind:

[Ding~ Detected that the host has subdued a furnace for the first time, officially embarking on the path of sect restoration and ensuring the continuation of the Joyful Union Sect!]

[Unlock Achievement: First Blood]

[Achievement Reward: Treasure Chest x1]

There's also an achievement system?

Are there any extra rewards?

Li Ang was immediately invigorated, never expecting such an unexpected surprise after he bumped into Emily!

He resisted the urge to immediately conjure the treasure chest, and first smiled and reassured Emily:

"That's good, Emily. Since you're willing to be my woman for life, your future husband is none other than me! You haven't wronged anyone, you're not a sinner, and even God will bless us!"

Emily couldn't help but chuckle at Li Ang's humorous reassurance, and the corners of her mouth slowly turned up.

She was, after all, living in the free country of America, and although her family had strict upbringing, her mind was not closed-minded.

Now that Li Ang had made his promise, she immediately let loose, reaching out to hug Li Ang's waist, burying her face in his chest, and saying tenderly:

"That's wonderful, Li Ang. I want to be with you forever, and we'll never be apart again."

Li Ang ruffled her golden hair and teased her with a smile:

"That won't do. My in-laws are waiting for my little princess to come home. I can't have you and I hiding in the bathroom the whole time, making them wait in vain and then calling the police to arrest me, can I?"

"Oh my God!"

Emily seemed to be burned by those words and suddenly jumped up from Li Ang's arms.

She fumbled in her denim shorts pocket and pulled out the latest iPhone 4 currently on the market.

The screen lit up, and the time displayed on it made Emily gasp.

"It's already 8:20! I promised my mom I'd be home by 9:00 at the latest! I'm sorry, Li Ang, I'm afraid I have to go right now!"

"Relax, it's okay."

Li Ang patiently straightened the wrinkled hem of Emily's T-shirt and calmly said:

"I'll take you back. It'll take you forty minutes to walk to the subway station from here and then take the train to Manhattan. You'll have plenty of time."

Emily nodded haphazardly and tried to take a step, but her legs were as weak as overcooked noodles, and she almost fell over.

Her cheeks flushed bright red, and she felt so ashamed and angry that she wanted to cry again.

Li Ang chuckled, turned around, squatted down with his back to Emily, patted his shoulder, and said:

"Come on up."

"Huh? Li Ang, what are you doing?"

"I'll carry you home."

"Ah? No, no need, Li Ang, I can walk by myself..."

"Hurry up, Emily. If you keep delaying, you'll be late getting home."

Emily bit her lip, hesitated for half a second, and then climbed down.

Li Ang wrapped his hands around Emily's shapely thighs, grabbed her buttocks tightly, and even kneaded them vigorously.

This made Emily both shy and happy, and she let out a series of warbling cries.

Li Angzhi smiled smugly, easily stood up with Emily on his back, and used his foot to hook open the toilet door.

Behind the bar, Kevin was idly wiping the counter with a dirty rag.

Seeing Li Ang carrying Emily out, his eyes lit up, he whistled, and shouted at the top of his lungs:

"Hey! What are you two doing in the bathroom? Taking your time? Seriously, my special Margherita pizza is completely cold and as hard as a brick! What a waste of that extra handful of mozzarella cheese I put in especially for this new girl!"

Emily buried her face in Li Ang's shoulder, not daring to look up at all.

Li Ang carried Emily to the bar.

The enormous pizza was sitting there, and sure enough, it had lost its heat.

He tore off a slightly softer piece from the very edge with one hand, held it to Emily's lips, and said:

"Hey, honey, did you hear Kevin's complaint? Try a bite, and I'll bring you back next time to order another one."

Emily shook her head, her hair brushing against Li Ang's neck.

Li Ang insisted:

"Just one bite? You must be starving after organizing this charity event today!"

Emily felt a warmth in her heart, and then carefully peeked out, took the pizza, and slowly tore it apart.

Li Ang gestured with his chin towards Kevin and chuckled:

"Hey Kevin, save the rest for me. Put the plate on the oven in the back to keep it warm. I'm taking my little one home first, then I'll come back and finish this pizza later."

"Fine, you love-struck jerk."

Kevin grinned and said:

"Get out of here, don't keep the girl's family waiting. If her father comes looking for me with a hunting rifle, I swear to Jesus, he'll expose you."

Li Ang chuckled and cursed, then, carrying Emily on his back, turned around, pushed open the creaking, dilapidated door of the bar, and strode into the dimly lit streets of the South Bronx.

When good things happen, people are in high spirits. Li Ang jogged all the way and soon arrived at the subway station.

Li Ang walked straight to the ticket machine, steadily supporting Emily's pert buttocks with one hand, and reached into his pocket with the other to take out some change, inserting it into the machine to buy two subway tickets.

Emily paused for a moment, then quickly patted Li Ang on the shoulder, reminding him:

"Hey, Li Ang, why did you buy two tickets? You should go back now, Kevin is still waiting for you at the bar."

Li Ang smiled slightly and said:

"To hell with Kevin! My dear Princess Emily, how can I just leave you alone at the subway station? I need to see you home and make sure your parents aren't yelling at you before I can go back home."

Emily felt a warmth in her heart again, and her eyes welled up with tears.

She didn't say anything more, but quietly tightened her arms and buried her face deeply in Li Ang's back.
