Organ rental company in another world

47. No one can touch my son!

Karentin felt like his body was about to fall apart.

Watching over Austin at the villa was not as easy as he had imagined.

I thought it would be a wonderful job to follow the beautiful young lady around every day, but it turns out that Austin is like a fighting machine with unlimited stamina, and her daily entertainment is fighting with people.

More importantly, I simply can't beat him!

After enduring several days of Austin's beatings, Karentin couldn't take it anymore.

He tricked a new soldier into serving Austin for a day.

The recruit had long heard of Austin's beauty, so he happily agreed, and Karentin was given a day off to go out drinking.

He chose "Meat Paradise," a highly-rated restaurant in Rose Town, ordered a glass of Dussex, and was just getting a little tipsy when he inexplicably heard the sounds of fighting behind him.

"Karentin! What are you standing there for? Come and save me! Otherwise, I'll have my father dismiss you!" Hopis's words made Norn stop.

Karentin? That name sounds familiar...

Norn turned his head and saw Karentin watching the show with a wine glass in his hand, and immediately understood his identity.

"Heh heh, scared now? Get off me right now!"

Hopis struggled free from between Norn's legs, pointed at Norn, and shouted, "Beat him to death!"

Karentin remained unmoved, staring at Norn and asking, "What brings you here?"

"I came to see Louisa; she still owes me money."

"That's really unfortunate. Louisa went to the capital a couple of days ago. Why don't you wait until I finish my drink, and then I'll take you to find Austin."

Norn nodded in agreement and followed Karentin away from the crowd, leaving Hopis with a bruised and swollen face behind.

"Karentin, what are you doing? Help me fight back! Look at the beating he's gotten into!"

Karentin merely glanced back and said, "This is just a minor injury; you can just go back and drink a healing potion. Aren't you ashamed of acting like a child at your age?"

"You! Just wait until I get back, I'll have my father teach you a lesson!"

"Forget it, boss. They seem to know each other. Let's go back first."

The two henchmen, whose faces were also swollen from being beaten, grinned and said...

Hopius glanced at their slightly bulging pockets, and remembering that he had been beaten up and hadn't received any money, he vented his anger on the two men.

He slapped each of them and said menacingly, "Let's go!"

"Is this the Duke's residence? It's so extravagant."

Norn was led by Karentin to the front of a villa. The villa was surrounded by snow-white walls, and the exquisite scenery inside could be glimpsed through the openwork pattern of the black and gold gate.

"No, I heard this is a mansion that the king bestowed upon Louisa. The real ducal mansion is much larger than this." After saying this, Karentin stepped forward and began to talk to the guard at the gate.

Norn thought to himself, "Compared to this, the houses in Backlanza look like slums."

Entering the villa and passing a huge marble statue of Louise, they arrived at the place where Karentin was beaten every day.

The recruit sat on the steps, his face bruised and swollen, sobbing as he ate bread, with several broken wooden swords beside him.

Upon seeing Karentin return, he was overjoyed, as if he'd seen a savior: "Brother! You're finally back! You only told me she was pretty, you didn't tell me she was such a fighter! Look at my face!"

Karentin turned his head away sheepishly, "Okay, okay, you go and rest now. Where did Miss go?"

"She thought I was too weak to fight, so she went to get something to eat. She should be in the living room now."

At this moment, Austin was lying on a bench, chewing on a dry snack.

Seeing Karentin bring Norn in, he exclaimed with delight, "You're here! Karentin, quickly pour some tea!"

Karentin poured each of them a cup of hot tea, then casually grabbed a pastry and popped it into his mouth.

"Judging from your reaction, Louisa must have told you everything, right?" Norn asked, taking a sip of tea.

Austin nodded. "The 50,000 gold coins are ready and upstairs."

Karentin nearly spat out his drink upon hearing this: "A young master?! Fifty thousand gold coins!"

He looked at Norn with envy, "I never even dared to dream of having that much money..."

"Alright, I'll have someone bring the carriage over, and I'll leave as soon as I get the money." Norn finished his tea in one gulp.

"Can't we stay here? I'll talk to my older sister and she'll definitely agree."

"Do you think I took these 50,000 gold coins for nothing? If Louisa finds out I took the money and am still here, she'll skin me alive."

"All right……"

Austin sighed. "My older sister told me to tell you that you're powerless right now, and it's dangerous for you to carry so much money alone. I suggest you go live in the Demi-human Federation in the north. There are savings banks run by the Demi-humans there, and as long as you pay a monthly deposit, they can keep your money safe."

A bank?

That's a good suggestion. I attracted a thief by showing off some gold coins at the tavern before. If someone had seen these 50,000 gold coins, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

"Okay, I've got it. I'll go get my carriage now."

"I'll go with you, so you won't have to find someone to pull the cart." Karentin rubbed his hands together, following Norn with a big smile.

Norn saw through Karentin's intentions at a glance and gave him the remaining gold coins.

"Hehe! Thank you so much!"

"Father, you must stand up for me! That bastard Karentin is just ganging up with outsiders to bully your son..."

"Enough!" Torres snapped, stopping Hopis's wailing.

Looking at his son's grotesque, pig-like face, he felt both angry and heartbroken.

The anger stemmed from his full knowledge of his son's bullying nature. This fool was afraid of getting tired or hurt during training, yet he liked to bully the weak and would back down as soon as he encountered a tough opponent.

Torres could almost picture Hoppis making a fool of himself in the tavern in his mind, and just thinking about it made his face burn with embarrassment, and he wished he could punch him again.

But he was, after all, his own flesh and blood. Seeing Hopis's ashen face, he grabbed a bottle of healing potion and tossed it over: "Drink it!"

Hopis drank it all in one gulp, which relieved the swelling on his face considerably, and new teeth even grew in his mouth.

Torres then began to think about how to handle the situation.

Although Hopius did not explain the cause of the matter to him, experience told him that his stupid son must have been at fault first.

Normally he wouldn't care, but this time it involved Karentin.

This newcomer, who had only recently arrived, successfully joined the Duke's Royal Guard and became his subordinate after saving Miss Scalander.

However, because of his previous status as a Mithril-level adventurer, his strength was comparable to his own, and in addition, his good relationship with Austin made Toris always worried that he would take his place.

If we can make good use of this conflict and create a big issue, we might be able to get the Duke to completely kick Karentin out of the house.

Thinking of this, Torres smiled and said to Hopis, "Don't worry, I'll definitely stand up for you. No one can bully my son!"

"Father..." Hopis looked at his father with deep affection, tears streaming down his face.
