Norn zipped up the bag, while Pullshi stared at the dark brown leather bag with a lingering, lewd grin playing on his lips. "I'll help you look at that brand. In return, could you lend me some blood crystals? Just for one night."

Norn could tell what he was planning just by looking at his eyes, which were now slits.

"I'll only give you one, and I'll take it back immediately after you're done."

Norn's words startled Pulsey. He stared at Norn in confusion, as if wondering how this kid seemed to know what he was going to do.

Then, his cheeks flushed red, and he said angrily, "Damn it! So it was you who did this! You controlled that damned bird and stole Rocky!"

"I don't know what you're talking about. Stop beating around the bush. Are you going to agree or not?"

Pulsi reluctantly agreed, after all, he had no leverage to negotiate now.

Norn pulled down his collar again, and this time Pulsey looked at him carefully.

"Tsk, the old man never taught me this, I don't recognize it," Pullshi said, frowning.

"This is called the Death Curse. It was probably developed by that dark sorcerer himself. See if you can break it."

Pulsey raised his heavy hands and placed them on the back of Norn's neck. "Don't move. I'm going to probe the magical composition of this thing."

A few seconds later, Pulsey's furrowed brow relaxed, and he said decisively, "You got tricked, kid. This isn't a curse!"

"Really?!" Norn turned around and looked at Pullshi in shock.

"One hundred percent! This is just an ordinary wound; I can't sense any trace of magic on it."

The magician Liao Lisha, who worked at the savings bank, said the same thing, but Norn was still skeptical.

The flow of magic is only a superficial thing. What if the Killing Curse can hide it? I don't have the luxury of making mistakes.

Seeing that Norn didn't believe him, Pulsey continued, "Don't doubt it. I can also use curse-type black magic. It's impossible not to feel the residual magic on the mark it leaves."

"You're not lying to me on purpose because you feel sorry for those blood crystals, are you?" Norn asked suspiciously.

"You bastard, you begged me to tell you before, and now that I've told you, you don't believe me. Are you deliberately coming here to cause trouble?"

Norn stood there for a moment, then turned to Berto and said, "Take me to buy a bottle of Soul-Stealing Potion."

"Absolutely not! I've already made a huge mistake once, I can't make it again!" Berto immediately refused.

"If you want to verify the truth of his words, you can find Otto, the fox-man who interrogated you before. He's the most experienced interrogator here and will definitely have a way to get the truth out of him!"

Upon hearing that he was to be interrogated, Pulsi instantly became agitated: "I'm not lying! You magical idiot, you can use lightning strikes, but you don't even understand curse magic? Those are just ordinary wounds!"

"Shut up! Nobody's going to interrogate you."

After reprimanding Pulchill, Norn turned to Berto and said, "If it really worked, why did you choose to use the Soul-Stealing Potion in the first place?"

"I..." Berto hesitated for a moment, "The Soul-Stealing Potion is something Lord Musolo deeply abhors. Although I am no longer the captain of the guard, I would never betray it again!"

Norn smiled contemptuously. At that moment, he really wanted to tell Berto that his anti-drug ambassador, Musolo, was actually a loyal customer of the Soul-Stealing Water.

Although this potion is harmful, it is more effective than any form of torture in getting people to tell the truth.

Pulsey's love for blood crystals ran deep in his bones, and he might indeed have endured torture to deceive himself in order to protect these precious stones.

Therefore, Norn had to use the Potion of Souls to verify the truth of his words.

"Please, Berto, this concerns my life." Norn's tone softened. "Besides, this guy was a villain to begin with. It's not a bad thing to turn someone like him into a drug-addicted zombie. You don't need to carry such a heavy moral burden."

Berthold's thoughts of his fallen men, their mutilated corpses lying on the grass, began to waver.

"Alright, since it's for Lord Norn, I agree!" Berto agreed, and the two of them picked up the two bags of blood crystals and went out.

Seeing Norn and his group leave with their "wives," Pulsey was greatly disappointed.

Looking with heartache at the dim fragments of "Loki" on the ground, Pullshi lay on them, slowly wriggling like a maggot.

Berto led Norn to a potion shop on the east side of the city of Miguang.

This place is far from the city center, the surrounding houses look much dilapidated, and there are very few pedestrians on the road.

Behind this pharmacy were rows of low-rise tenement buildings, similar to where Xia Ya lived.

"I don't know if she used that money to open a shop."

Norn followed Berto through the door as he pondered this.

The air in the store smelled terrible; it felt like stepping into some mad scientist's chemistry lab.

The surrounding shelves were neatly arranged with various colored potions, including not only normal medical potions, but also aphrodisiacs, poisons, date rape drugs, and love potions...

A middle-aged man with one eye blind sat at the counter, calculating with a quill pen in his hand, while his two sons ate their meals at a small table to the side.

The man looked up and saw Berto, immediately putting down his pen and asking, "Lord Berto, what brings you here today?"

Where's your dad?

"You're making medicine in the back, aren't you...?"

Berto walked straight past the counter toward the back door, but the man quickly stopped Norn.

"He's one of my men, let him in."

Hearing Berto say this, the man finally let Norn pass.

Pushing open the wooden door behind the counter, an even stronger, pungent odor assaulted my senses.

A large iron pot was bubbling on the fire, and an old bald man wearing goggles was flipping through a book while sprinkling various ingredients into the pot.

Besides, there were all sorts of strange and unusual devices in the room, some of which Norn could only barely recognize.

"Berto? What brings you here? Wait for me a moment."

The old bald man inserted an iron pestle into the pot and stirred it vigorously. Then he used an iron spoon to scoop out the murky liquid and poured it into the filter. He only removed his goggles after the entire pot of liquid had been filtered clean.

"What do you want from me now? And who's this guy behind you...?"

"He wants to buy a bottle of Soul-Stealing Water." After saying that, Berto placed two Heavenly Coins on the table next to him.

"Sure, sure, hehe."

The old bald man tore off a dirty rag from his waist to wipe his hands, then stuffed two Heavenly Coins into his pocket, turned around, and went into the wooden box where the raw materials were stored.

When he came out again, he was holding a bottle of purple potion.

After obtaining the Soul-Stealing Potion, Norn placed it in the pocket inside his robe, eager to leave this stinking place.

As I came out the back door, a customer came into the store to buy aphrodisiacs.

After some haggling, the two finally settled on a price, and the customer left the money on the counter and left.

The man then took out a black leather bag and put the money inside.

Norn was startled: Isn't this my handbag?
