Ao Lie is the third son of the West Sea Dragon King, and is known as the Third Prince of the West Sea Dragon.

In the original Journey to the West, he witnessed the scandalous affair between the Nine-Headed Insect and Princess Bibotan.

In a fit of anger, he smashed the Jade Emperor's pearl, and was reported to the Heavenly Court by the Dragon King of the West Sea.

This matter could have been kept secret.

As long as the Dragon King of the West Sea doesn't say anything, outsiders won't know, and the Jade Emperor won't punish Ao Lie for it.

Strange things happened, and the Dragon King of the West Sea, upholding justice, personally denounced Ao Lie.

Ao Lie was severely punished by the Jade Emperor for this, and his dragon tendons were pulled out and his dragon skin was peeled off.

Guanyin Bodhisattva rescued him in time and settled him in Yingchoujian.

There must be something hidden behind this.

The dialogue between the four Dragon Kings reveals that this was a carefully planned scheme by the Dragon Clan.

The purpose was to participate in the grand plan of the Journey to the West.

The Dragon King of the West Sea said, "For the sake of the dragon race, it's nothing for Lie'er to suffer a little."

"Those who participate more in the Journey to the West will benefit Buddhism and the Heavenly Court by bestowing merit upon them."

"My dragon clan can receive a larger share, and we can use this merit to offset some of our karmic burdens."

"In this way, the pressure on the ancestors suppressed in the sea eye will be reduced, and some of the ancestors will be able to come out, so that my dragon clan will have experts on the surface."

"We can also take this opportunity to break free from the control of the Heavenly Court."

The Dragon King of the East Sea nodded in agreement.

"For the sake of the dragon race's plans, this sacrifice is nothing!"

"As long as enough merit is accumulated, and one or two of the ancestors in the sea eye are freed up, the dragon race will no longer be without powerful figures to guard it."

"Otherwise, anyone can come and trample on our dragon race!"

The Dragon King of the North Sea and the Dragon King of the South Sea nodded in agreement.

Their eyes were full of anticipation.

May Buddhism flourish and may heaven bestow blessings.

We hope that the dragon ancestors who are suppressed in the sea will be able to come out.

As long as one of the patriarchs can emerge, the Dragon Clan can regain its former glory!

"Brother, did you keep the magic staff safe?"

The Dragon King of the South Sea reminded them, "The monkeys of Flower Fruit Mountain are the pilgrims on their journey to the West; the magic staff must be obtained by the monkeys."

The Dragon King of the East Sea said confidently, "Don't worry, my good brother."

"The monkeys of Flower Fruit Mountain are actually just wild monkeys from the mountains, who have never seen the world."

"My Dragon Palace has countless treasures; he'll be stunned when he comes."

The Dragon Kings of the North Sea, West Sea, and South Sea finally nodded in agreement.

They then discussed the specifics and parted ways.

After leaving the Dragon Palace of the East Sea, Bodhi flew downwards.

We passed through the Netherworld and arrived at the Underworld.

Yama, the King of Hell, immediately stepped forward and respectfully bowed, saying, "This humble god pays respects to the Holy One."

"The sage has arrived, and this humble deity has failed to greet him properly. Please forgive me, sage."

Bodhi Patriarch said, "It's alright."

"I've come to tell you that the Journey to the West plan has begun. Are you ready?"

Yama, the King of Hell, replied, "Rest assured, Your Majesty, everything is already prepared."

"Empress Pingxin has long said that this is a crucial matter for Buddhism, and we must take it seriously and not be negligent."

The Lady Pingxin mentioned by Yama is Houtu, one of the twelve ancestral witches of the ancient witch clan.

Houtu once transformed into the Six Paths of Reincarnation and established the Underworld, thus forming the realm of reincarnation.

The ancestral witch Houtu disappeared from then on, leaving only the name of Lady Pingxin in the world.

Patriarch Bodhi's eyes flickered, and he said, "Fellow Daoist Pingxin has already given his instructions, so I won't say any more."

After saying that, Patriarch Bodhi immediately disappeared.

King Yama bowed respectfully: "Send off the saint."

Then he got up and returned to the Yama Palace, where he sat on the throne.

King Yama closed his eyes and directly contacted the highest ruler of the underworld, Lady Pingxin: "Your Majesty, Zhunti's benevolent corpse has already departed."

Soon, Lady Pingxin responded: "I know about this. Zhunti's benevolent body has now gone to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva."

"You must be on high alert and never allow Ksitigarbha to interfere too much in the affairs of the underworld."

King Yama respectfully replied, "Yes, Your Majesty."

After saying this, Yama, the King of Hell, gave a helpless, bitter smile.

Empress Pingxin was once aloof and arrogant.

Now, for the sake of some merit, she must cooperate with Zhunti, who once schemed against the Wu clan.

The vicissitudes of life are truly moving.

Because of their past sins, the lives of the Wu people are becoming increasingly difficult.

They were forced to cooperate with Buddhism in order to seek the protection of merit.

They hope to alleviate their sins and improve their lives through good deeds.

After leaving the underworld, Bodhi went directly to the sacred site of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was performing a ritual to liberate the souls of the deceased when he saw Bodhi and immediately bowed respectfully, saying, "Greetings, Teacher!"

Di Ting, who was beside him, also bowed respectfully: "Greetings, Sage."

Bodhi nodded slightly: "No need for such formalities."

"Ksitigarbha, I ask you, how is things progressing in the underworld today?"

Ksitigarbha sighed and said, "Master, the people of the underworld are very wary of their disciple."

"I failed to increase the power of the underworld today. I have done a poor job. Please punish me, Master."

Bodhi did not express his opinion.

"I won't punish you, but you must be serious about your work from now on and you're not allowed to slack off."

Ksitigarbha immediately replied, "Yes, disciple has remembered."

Bodhi sought out Ksitigarbha for this very reason.

After saying that, he turned to leave: "I'm leaving."

As soon as he finished speaking, he vanished from the spot.

Ksitigarbha respectfully saw him off, saying, "Take care, teacher."

Then he stood up and said to Di Ting, "Di Ting, from now on, we must double the number of souls we perform rituals for each day."

Upon hearing this, Di Ting's expression immediately darkened.

He's already exhausted from the daily rituals for the deceased, and now he wants to double that?

You might as well just kill me!

After leaving the underworld, Bodhi continued to fly upwards, arriving directly at the Thirty-Three Heavens.

Soon, he passed through the South Heavenly Gate, entered the Lingxiao Palace, and paid his respects to the Jade Emperor.

At this moment, the Jade Emperor is presiding over a grand court assembly, with all the gods of Heaven present.

Bodhi Patriarch entered the Lingxiao Palace.

All the gods in Heaven bowed and greeted the Holy One: "Welcome, Holy One!"

Bodhi Patriarch slowly walked over and casually glanced around the hall.

Since its defeat in the battle against Ying Zheng, the Heavenly Court has suffered a severe blow, and its spirit and energy have clearly deteriorated.

Many of the celestial beings appeared listless and dejected.

Li Jing's condition was particularly serious!

Although Li Jing has now regained his golden status through the Investiture of the Gods.

But he was no longer a being of flesh and blood, but a divine body formed from incense offerings.

In the past, Li Jing often took pride in being listed on the list of immortals with his physical body and looked down on those immortals who were listed with their true spirit.

Now that he's also on the list of true spirits, he must be feeling terrible.

No matter where he was, he always felt like someone was laughing at him from behind.

So Li Jing always had a stern face, as if everyone owed him something!

However, Bodhi Patriarch didn't look at it much and went straight to the Jade Emperor.

"This humble Taoist pays his respects to the Jade Emperor."

Bodhi Patriarch bowed respectfully.

Although he was the benevolent body of the sage Zhunti, the Jade Emperor was a disciple and attendant of the Hongjun Patriarch, and his status was equally noble, no less than that of Zhunti.

Therefore, Bodhi Patriarch had to perform this great ceremony before the Jade Emperor.

The Jade Emperor smiled and returned the greeting: "Senior Brother."

"Senior brother, what brings you to the Heavenly Court?"

The Bodhi Patriarch spoke slowly, his expression calm.

"Heaven has ordained that Buddhism will prosper. Zhunti has sent me to inform the Jade Emperor that the Journey to the West plan has been launched."

The immortals in the Lingxiao Palace had a slight change in expression, and a glint of light flashed in their eyes.

The immortals had long known about the Buddhist Journey to the West plan; the script had already been written, and most of them were going to participate.

After a long wait, the Journey to the West plan is finally about to begin.

Before long, they will also accumulate a lot of merit.
