I am a mage, with an infinite mana bar!

Chapter 34 The Blonde Bride

Eli gave Lynn a grateful look, while the others dispelled their doubts and agreed with Lynn's point of view.

"Leave the barrier to me," Urshi said, drawing out a strange arrow with intricately carved patterns on its tip.

"This is the 'Demon-Slaying Arrow,' specifically designed to break through barriers and seals."

Lynn was somewhat surprised, not expecting that Urshi would have such a good item. As far as he knew, items that countered barriers were only equipped by high-level professionals.

After all, newbies like them have very few opportunities to encounter barrier magic.

Without further hesitation, the group began to prepare.

Once Ulsie launches an attack, the "Invisible and Shadowless" stealth effect will instantly disappear, and they will be exposed to the enemy's detection range.

Lynn first conjured a Frost Ring, and then added a Shield Ring to Eli, who seemed the most vulnerable.

Eli didn't refuse and thanked him with a smile, but in fact, she had come well prepared for her adventure in the Whispering Forest, carrying more than one powerful protective magical item.

Seeing that her teammates were ready, Urshi drew her bow and nocked an arrow, the magic-piercing arrow whistling as it hurtled towards the magic crystal that Lynn had just discovered.

The arrow passed through the area without any hindrance.

Just when Lynn thought he had made a mistake and that there was nothing there, countless tiny cracks spread out from the point to the surface in the void.

In the blink of an eye, the transparent barrier shattered completely.

In an instant, the wind howled, wild beasts roared, and human voices cried out in anguish.

A suffocating stench hit us!

What the hell!

Lynn gasped in surprise as he saw the scene that had appeared out of nowhere.

In a clearing among the trees, several beams of magical light illuminated the entire area, and beneath that light lay a horrifying and tragic scene!

The bodies of countless living creatures formed a huge ring of flesh and blood.

Goblins, dire wolves, giant weasels, wild boars, and even low-level monsters and animals like bats and owls, along with a few adventurers...

Their skin and flesh were so intertwined that it was almost impossible to tell them apart.

Their race could only be identified from the remaining rough outline of their bodies and the incessant, chilling wailing sounds.

This state had been going on for an unknown amount of time; they all seemed to be on the verge of death, yet they continued to wriggle and struggle.

Upon seeing this hellish scene, Eli turned deathly pale, and the others were no better off.

Lin Enqiang pretended to be calm, but his stomach was already churning violently.

He clenched his teeth tightly, afraid that if he lowered his head, he would vomit up all his bile.

At the very center of that horrific circle of flesh and blood, on a half-meter-high platform made of stone, there were still two normal human figures.

A slender man knelt on one knee on the stone platform with his back to them. He was dressed elegantly, and his bare obsidian skin contrasted sharply with his silver-white hair.

"Dark Elf..." Lynn stared intently at the man's long, pointed ears, his pupils slightly contracting.

It is a synonym for viciousness, evil, conspiracy, and danger.

Eli, being a half-elf, quickly recognized the man. Her breath caught in her throat, and a hint of anger flickered in her green eyes.

The dark elf was facing an ordinary-looking blonde girl sitting on a chair made of piled stones.

She was bound by vines, her clothes were tattered, and a simple white veil covered her head, which fluttered in the wind, along with her almost broken moans.

"Charlotte, my dearest Charlotte, promise me, will you marry me?" the male dark elf murmured in a dreamlike tone.

Where Lynn and the others couldn't see, he raised his head, gazing intently at the blonde girl, his grape-like eyes filled with deep affection.

"No...no, let me go...please..."

He seemed not to hear the girl's weak pleas; his eyes widened, and he spoke to himself with ecstatic joy:

"You, you really said yes! That's wonderful! I'll hold our wedding right away!"

He was so engrossed in the "proposal" that he completely ignored the five people watching.

"Eli," Lynn looked somewhat bewildered at the half-elf girl beside him, "is that really Charlotte Fenrir, the one you're looking for?"

Eli was still reeling from the shock of the fleshy ring. He hesitated for a moment before he understood what Lynn had just asked.

She immediately retorted, "No, that's not Charlotte. I suspect it's one of Miss Tana's missing teammates..."

Before he finished speaking, Liam had already nocked an arrow and fired it at the dark elf.

Lynn thought to himself, "Well done," and turned to look. He saw that the arrow had successfully pierced the man's head.

Isn't this going too smoothly?

Just as he had this question, he saw the dark elf convulsing, without even letting out a scream.

The next second, the arrow that had been piercing his head suddenly disappeared.

What's going on?

Lynn's gaze sharpened, and suddenly a heart-wrenching scream rang in his ears.

He glanced to the side and saw a burly bear goblin lying on its back in a ring of flesh, with an arrow that Urshi had just shot stuck in its head!

Was that fatal wound, along with the arrow, moved?

Urshi fired a second arrow with a cold face, and in the blink of an eye, an arrow was stuck in the shoulder of a demon wolf.

Lynn quickly understood the principle behind this strange phenomenon—

The fleshy ring was connected to the dark elf who performed the ritual in a strange way; any damage caused to him could be instantly transferred to the creatures inside the ring!

The bear goblin with the arrow in his head did not die immediately; he remained half-dead and barely clinging to life, just like before.

Lynn suddenly felt a headache coming on; the ritual seemed far too bizarre.

At this moment, the dark elf finally reacted and stood up, trembling all over.

His exquisitely handsome face, inherited from elven blood, was contorted in rage, his purple eyes blazing with fury.

"Damn flies!" he hissed through gritted teeth, veins bulging on his forehead, "You dare disturb my wedding with Charlotte? I'll kill you all!"

With his furious roar, the ring of flesh and blood began to writhe wildly, and the wails of all kinds of creatures became even more intense.

Puff puff!

Streams of extremely foul-smelling black blood shot out from the half-melted flesh, forming a dense black rain in the sky that instantly enveloped the five people!

At the same time, Lynn's spirituality was violently stirred up, and he felt that the filthy blood was extremely dangerous!

Once they come into contact with them, they may become contaminated and corrupted, gradually becoming part of that flesh and blood ring!

In a flash, he desperately tried to activate his spirituality, attempting to reactivate the "Shield" spell left to him by the old man Barton.

Given the sheer evil of that tainted blood, this was the only way to protect him and his teammates!

As the filthy blood rained down like arrows, everyone was on high alert, but even the most agile Liam couldn't escape the area it covered in time.

There's no way to avoid it!

Having realized this, the group simply gave up trying to evade. Liam, Sirin, and Urshi, the three veterans and elders, firmly protected Lynn and Eli behind them.

Eli, unaware of what was happening, was holding a fragile, crystalline white stone in his hand, his fingers tightening as he was about to crush it.

Just then, the bright white full moon above them shone with boundless brilliance.

The light descended from the sky like a divine miracle, enveloping the five people along with the filthy blood that was being shot at them.

Silently, the filthy blood melted away as quickly as snow under the sun until it disappeared without a trace.

At the same time, a clear whistle rang out from above.

Lynn looked up and suddenly noticed that several emerald green eyes were quietly lighting up among the rocks above the valley.
