But with Luke still around, he didn't show anything unusual. Instead, he quietly stood to Luke's left to prevent Carlisle from recognizing him.

When Luke asked him how he mastered the "Frost Ring" magic, he steered the conversation towards the "fake potion," which piqued Luke's curiosity about the potion merchant.

At that moment, the merchant appeared inside the Golden Tower looking incredibly fresh and beautiful!

So Carlisle is a member of the Golden Tower? That makes sense given his identity and his self-aggrandizing personality...

Luke, unaware of the subtle change in Lynn's expression, led him directly to a magic book shop.

Apart from the sign at the entrance, the only other thing this shop had was a long list posted at the entrance.

Lynn glanced at it and found that it included almost all the low-ring spells in the Magic Association's "Complete Record of Magic Below the Third Ring".

However, he looked around the shop and didn't see any magic books on display.

"Oh," Luke said with a smile, noticing his gaze, "because products have a limited shelf life, magic books are usually made to order. They are produced and shipped in batches after an order is received."

"Of course, there are also some particularly popular spellbooks that sell well and are produced in batches on a regular basis, such as Fire Arrow, Shield Spell, and Message Spell," he added.

Lynn nodded and followed him through the partition, where a bright and open space suddenly appeared before him.

Several rows of wicker tables were stacked with parchment notebooks and various commonly used magic books.

At each table sat four or five people dressed as scholars, holding quill pens or dip pens, sometimes writing furiously on blank parchment, sometimes pausing to pretend to be deep in thought.

Is this the place where the magic book is made? Lynn observed with great interest.

He discovered that some people would open a small dark green bottle during breaks in the process, pour out a few drops of the medicine, and either drip it directly into their eyes or apply it to their temples with their hands.

Lynn had some knowledge of potions and recognized it as a refreshing potion made with peppermint oil, evening primrose, and nectar, which could soothe the mind and improve concentration.

Incense was still burning in the magic book workshop. Lynn inhaled the faint fragrance and felt his spirituality become slightly active.

Is this incense, which can even stimulate spirituality, also prepared to increase the efficiency of making magic books?

Seeing Lynn watching intently, Luke casually said, "You can come here part-time when you have time. The income is good, and more importantly, you can train your mental strength and review your magical knowledge."

As he spoke, he waved to an elderly man who had just come out of the inner room, beckoning him over.

Upon recognizing Luke's face, the old man immediately approached and bowed respectfully to him.

"This is the head of the spellbook workshop, you can call him Old Neil," Luke then turned to the old man and introduced him, "Old Neil, this is Lynn, he just joined the Golden Tower today and needs to create a high-quality spellbook to apply for a magic patent. Do you have time to guide him?"

Old Neil glanced at Lynn, a hint of surprise in his eyes, and quickly replied, "No problem, Mr. Luke, leave it to me."

Luke nodded. "I have some other things to take care of, so I'll be going now. If you have anything urgent, just tell Old Neil; he can get in touch with me."

Luke pointed to old Neil, who was wearing a scholar's robe, had a golden scale emblem on his chest, and was old but vigorous, then nodded and said goodbye to Lynn.

Old Neil smiled kindly, looked Lynn up and down, and asked gently, "What kind of magic do you want to patent?"

Lynn answered truthfully, "It's a first-circle shaping spell."

A first-circle spell? Old Neil opened his mouth, he had thought that Lynn at his age must have discovered some new magic trick.

As a level 0 spell, it is relatively simple, which means that it does not require much knowledge and is generally easy to master to the point of being able to create high-quality spellbooks.

Unexpectedly, what Lynn discovered was a first-circle spell.

This is quite rare for a spellcaster of his age.

Old Neil nodded slightly, understanding why Luke had personally brought him here; it meant that the deacon of the Golden Tower valued him highly.

"Mr. Lynn, have you had any experience making spellbooks before?"

Lynn shook his head slightly, because he had always been humble and polite, and being young and inexperienced, he appeared somewhat shy, but not timid.

This kind of performance is very pleasing to elders like Neil and Patton.

"It's alright," the old man said gently. "I will teach you from the beginning. Believe me, with your talent, making a spellbook is not a difficult thing."

He told Lynn to wait a moment, then returned to the cubicle, only to come back soon after with a frown.

"Mr. Lynn, our workshop rarely produces high-quality spellbooks, and we don't have all the materials. I'll take you to the magic material shop next door to buy the materials specifically for making high-quality spellbooks. After that, I'll explain the process of making spellbooks to you in detail. Oh, and you can put the money on Mr. Luke's tab; that's his rule."

Luke was always generous in this regard, so Lynn naturally wouldn't refuse his kindness.

He smiled and stopped old Neil, who was about to lead him out. "Thank you, Mr. Neil. I know the location of the magic materials shop. Why don't you just tell me what materials you need? You don't need to trouble yourself to come with me for this kind of errand."

He paused, then added, "By the way, I'd like to familiarize myself with the fourth floor and have a simple lunch."

"Hmm, that's fine. The materials for making spellbooks are basically the same, but high-quality spellbooks require higher standards for paper and ink, as well as a spiritual binder..."

Old Neil explained the required materials to Lynn one by one, then patted him on the shoulder. "Young man, I suggest you eat something before you go. The smell of the magic materials shop can really affect your appetite. Hey, the cafeteria on the fourth floor is over there."

He pointed in a direction, and Lynn thanked him gratefully before leaving the spellbook workshop.

He deliberately created opportunities to be alone, naturally in order to visit a certain vampire apothecary.

Lynn casually strolled around and naturally walked to the counter of the potion shop.

Carlyle was engrossed in organizing his accounts; his handwriting was so ugly it was barely legible.

Lynn glanced at it and immediately realized that the shop's profits were meager, and it was very likely operating at a loss.

The young vampire's behavior proved this point; he held a graphite pen in one hand and pressed the other hand on his head, his fingers deeply embedded in his messy curly hair, his face contorted in a grimace.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Carlisle," Lynn greeted.

Carlisle Reid was startled and looked up, glaring angrily at the clueless guy who had suddenly appeared.

Then the expression on his pale face suddenly froze, and he stared blankly at Lynn.

After a long while, he finally came to his senses, frantically shaking his head left and right to make sure no one was watching, before leaning closer to Lynn, his hands on the counter, and asking in a low voice:

How did you know I was here?
