Urgent! Major plot twist! Watch now!

The arrival of Bit and Nameless did not cause much of a stir in the Special Operations Department. Chen Xiao continued to handle the allocation of supplies and the operation of the production line as usual, Lina spent her days optimizing the production process in the medical department, and Luna, like a silent shadow, always followed not far behind Chen Xiao.

The next morning, Bit couldn't wait to go to Dam Zero.

"Chen Xiao, are we going to see Said today?" Bit squatted at the entrance of the Special Operations Unit, giving 'T-boy' a routine check while looking up and asking.

Chen Xiao leaned against the doorframe, holding a cup of hot tea in her hand: "Why are you in such a hurry?"

"I'd like to see the dam's turbines." Bitt pushed up his glasses, his eyes gleaming with the typical glint of a tech geek. "My father was involved in the installation of that unit back then, and I saw the blueprints when I was a kid. Decades have passed; I wonder if it's still operational."

"It's working," Chen said with a smile. "The people from Said have been maintaining it, and although they're not very professional, at least they haven't let it stop."

Bit breathed a sigh of relief: "That's good. If the dam had stopped, the power supply to several towns downstream would have been completely cut off."

"Let's go." Chen Xiao glanced at the taciturn Nameless and clapped his hands. "Let's go meet our Crimson Owl."

The SUV drove out of the Special Operations Unit and headed towards Dam Zero along the bumpy dirt road. Lina and Luna both stayed at the Special Operations Unit. Before parting, Lina glanced at Chen Xiao, seemingly wanting to say something but then stopping herself.

"Don't worry," Chen Xiaochong waved his hand.

At the entrance to Dam Zero, Said did not personally come out to greet them. A guard stopped the convoy, verified their identities, and then let them pass. Bit parked the car downstairs at the administration building, and the three of them went inside.

The manager's office door was open. Said sat inside, a map spread out in front of him, with Farid standing behind him. Seeing Chen Xiao enter, Said looked up, his gaze sweeping over Bit and Nameless behind him.

"Bringing people again?" Said's voice was neither warm nor cold.

"Here they've sent from headquarters to investigate cooperation." Chen Xiao pointed to the two people behind him: "This is Rashid Lahar, an Assara, an engineering operative, codename 'Bit'." He then pointed to the nameless man: "As for this man's name, I don't know if he'd be willing to reveal it."

"Elie de Montpellier," the nameless man spoke up on his own: "Code name 'Nameless'."

Saeed's gaze was fixed on Bit. The words "Asara" caused a subtle change in his expression.

"An Assara?" Sayed looked at Bit. "Which village?"

"A village on the upper reaches of the Umm River. My mother was a teacher at Farah Elementary School, but sadly it was destroyed in the war." Bitt stepped forward and naturally extended his hand. "Mr. Sayyid, it's an honor to meet you."

Saeed didn't shake his hand, but just stared at him for a few seconds: "What does your father do?"

"He was involved in the construction of Dam Zero." Bit withdrew his hand, not embarrassed at all, and adjusted his glasses. "I grew up during the construction of the dam, and I love it here."

"After all, it was the business my father built with all his heart and soul."

"Please sit down," Said gestured with his chin towards them. "Guests are welcome, so please don't stand."

Chen Xiao glanced at Said in surprise, seemingly not expecting such words to come out of his mouth.

The group sat down, and the atmosphere became somewhat awkward. Nameless seemed oblivious to the awkwardness and spoke in a businesslike tone: "Mr. Said, headquarters sent us here. There are a few things we need to discuss with you."

Saeed raised an eyebrow: "Speak."

Wuming pulled a data pad from his pocket and read out the cooperation terms drafted by GTI headquarters, one by one.

"First, GTI expects the Saeed Guard to cooperate with our military operations in the Asara region, including but not limited to providing intelligence, logistical support, and ground cover." The nameless voice was magnetic but flat. "Second, GTI will establish several permanent liaison posts around Dam Zero and station ground troops there to provide timely support for both sides' operations. Third, the Saeed Guard's command—during joint operations—will be subject to the unified command of GTI's tactical advisors."

"The GTI side will provide judgmental support and daily supplies based on the battle situation, and will be responsible for post-disaster reconstruction work."

Said snorted coldly: "The first point is fine, but intelligence sharing is a two-way street. What you know, I also need to know."

Wuming made a note on the data board.

"Secondly, no." Said turned around, his gaze sharp. "Dam Zero is my territory. You want to station troops there?"

Bit opened his mouth as if to say something, but Chen Xiao stopped him with a look.

"Third point." Said walked back to the table, placed his hands on the surface, and looked down at Wuming. "What gives you the right to command my men, you GTI's tactical advisors? My men have been fighting Hafk for so many years, we don't need anyone to teach us how to fight."

"First of all, I can't give you control of the guards, but I can assist you in your operations," Said snorted. "Just like last time."

"Secondly, the military is not allowed, but I will allow you to establish no more than ten contact points around Dam Zero and send agents like you over." Said gave Nameless a deep look: "This is my biggest concession, kid."

Not only Chen Xiao, but even Bit looked at Said with some surprise. They never expected that this pure brute who usually talked about beasts and instincts would now know how to bargain.

The nameless man said expressionlessly, "Since Mr. Said disagrees with the second and third points, I will report the facts as they are."

"Go ahead and report."

The atmosphere for the discussions was not harmonious, but it was quite efficient.

After finishing speaking, Wuming got up and walked towards the door, and Said showed no intention of seeing him off.

Bit scratched his head, suppressed his desire to continue talking to Said, and followed Nameless out of the manager's office.

Only Chen Xiao stared at Said as if he were a rare animal.

"Just say what you want to say!" Sayed frowned and glanced at Chen Xiao.

Chen Xiao paused for a moment before speaking, "GTI won't wholeheartedly help Asara. They just want Asara to slow down Hafk's progress as much as possible. For GTI, it would be best if Asara became a swamp. Hafk has already invested a lot of resources in it, and the more chaotic it is, the less energy Hafk will have to expand elsewhere."

Saeed stared at Chen Xiao, a smile suddenly appearing in his eyes behind the mask:

"Relax, kid." Said stood up and patted Chen Xiao on the shoulder. "You think I can't tell?"

"I'm glad you could say that, even if it's just to maintain your own value."

"But so what? Asara is too weak." Said's deep voice was devoid of emotion: "Asara is a buffer zone between Hafk and GTI, but before the real war breaks out, I must at least ensure that Asara has a decent army."

"I used to only want to kill." Sayyid sat back in his chair, his fingers unconsciously touching the empty spot on his belt. The woman's pendant had been given to Abdullah, and there was nothing there anymore. "Kill Hafk's men, kill GTI's men, kill everyone who bullied Asara. But Abdullah told me before he died that I hadn't done anything yet."

"Thank you so much for providing Asara with this path; it has helped me understand some things."

"Hatred cannot rebuild Asara."
