What should I do if my pet loves watching anime?

"Both trainers are in position." The referee stood on the referee's stand at the edge of the field, his voice clearly coming through the loudspeaker.

"This is a 1v1 battle, continuing until one Pokémon is unable to battle or the trainer concedes. Now, please send out your Pokémon."

"Potpot, prepare for battle," the sturdy young man said in a deep voice.

The pot-shaped creature slowly crawled forward a few steps, its orange-red shell gleaming with an oily sheen under the light, its four slender legs gripping the ground firmly.

"Mary sheep, I choose you!" Gu Beiri threw out the Poké Ball.

A flash of red light, and Mare the Sheep appeared on the field.

Golden static electricity danced lively among its fur, its sharp eyes fixed on the pot opposite it, showing no fear whatsoever.

"Battle begins!"

The moment the referee waved the flag, both sides acted almost simultaneously.

"Pot, retract into your shell!" the sturdy young man commanded first.

The pot-shaped creature reacted extremely quickly, its four legs and head instantly retracting into its hard shell, turning its entire body into an impenetrable "fortress".

Retracting into a shell is a transformation skill that enhances the user's defense.

"Electrical site!" Gu Beiri gave the order almost as soon as the other party spoke.

With a soft bleat, the golden electric net suddenly unfolded, its bright electric light instantly covering half the area, and the electrical activity in the air increased dramatically.

Electrical installation successfully completed!

"Electric shock, a probing attack!" Gu Beiri did not rush into a full-scale attack.

A solid golden arc of electricity shot out from Mareep, striking Shuttle's carapace with pinpoint accuracy.

"Bang!"

The electric light exploded on the orange-red carapace, leaving a small charred mark, but the pot remained motionless; in fact, the light on the carapace seemed to brighten slightly—the effect of retracting into the shell was becoming apparent.

"As expected, its defensive capabilities are astonishing..." Gu Beiri's thoughts raced.

It boasts a combined defense rating of 230.

Conventional electric shocks are unlikely to cause effective damage.

"Potpot, roll!" The sturdy young man seized the brief opening after Mare the sheep's attack.

The pot's shell began to spin rapidly in place, emitting a deep hum, and then, like a cannonball, it hurtled straight toward Mare the sheep with heavy force!

Roll, a rock-type physical attack, whose power increases with repeated use!

Don't try to take it head-on!

"Avoid it! Speed things up by drafting!"

With a burst of power from its four hooves, the grass-green energy flowed beneath its feet, and its speed suddenly increased as it leaped to the side.

"boom!"

The pot, carrying a strong gust of wind, grazed Mareep's side and crashed heavily into the energy barrier at the edge of the arena with a dull thud.

The barrier rippled, demonstrating the immense force of the impact.

The pot's momentum slowed slightly after missing its target, but it didn't stop. Instead, it drew an arc, adjusted its direction, and accelerated again!

"Keep rolling! Don't give it a chance to breathe!" The sturdy young man's tactics were clear: to use the combined power of the pot's defense and the rolling attack to crush the opponent.

"Keep your distance, use electric shocks to disrupt its path! Look for gaps in its shell!"

With the speed boost from shoveling grass, Mareep moves and changes direction swiftly across the field like a golden streak of light.

Mare the sheep isn't fast, but it's fast enough for playing with the pot.

Even when it's rolling, Shuttle still can't attack Mareep, which has increased its speed.

A series of electric shocks were precisely aimed at the rolling pot. Although they could not cause serious damage, the continuous electric shocks caused slight deviations in the pot's rolling trajectory, affecting its speed and direction.

The rolling power of the pot was indeed increasing, and the momentum of the third roll far exceeded that of the first.

But Mare the sheep is faster and more agile.

On the field, an orange-red "chariot" was in hot pursuit, while a golden "lightning bolt" flashed and darted about.

The sounds of electric shocks, rolling booms, and the muffled thuds of energy barriers being struck mingled together.

A murmur arose from the audience.

"That Mare the sheep is so fast!"

"The pot's defenses are really thick; an electric shock feels like a tickle."

"But if Mare the Sheep keeps running like this, it'll be exhausted. Once it gets caught, it's all over..."

As the audience has pointed out, Gu Beiri has also become aware of the problem.

Mare the sheep's stamina is not unlimited; continuous high-speed movement and the constant release of electric shocks consume a lot of energy.

With the added benefit of retracting into its shell, the pot has extremely high defense and long stamina; the more it rolls, the stronger it becomes.

Delaying this will be detrimental.

We must break this deadlock!

"Potpot, now's your chance, Rock Blast!" The sturdy young man suddenly changed his move!

As the rolling pursuer was in pursuit, several small holes suddenly opened at the front of its shell, from which several sharp, angular stones shot out, fanning out and covering a large area in front of Mare the sheep!

This move was timed perfectly, predicting Mare the sheep's movement direction and blocking its dodge space!

"Shield of Counterattack!" Gu Beiri's pupils constricted as he shouted urgently.

At the critical moment, golden electricity spun wildly around Mare the Sheep, instantly forming that familiar spherical shield made of high-speed rotating electricity!

"Puff puff puff puff—!"

Sharp stones struck the rotating electric shield one after another.

Most of the stones were deflected or swerved by the powerful rotational force, and the few with stronger penetrating power only left shallow marks on the sheep's hair after being weakened.

Counterattack Shield, successful defense!

However, maintaining the high-strength shield also takes a huge toll on Mareep, and the shield's brilliance has noticeably dimmed.

"A great opportunity!" The sturdy young man's eyes lit up. "Pot, tighten it!"

The rolling of the pot came to an abrupt stop, and four yellow tentacles suddenly stretched out from the gaps in its shell, like snakes emerging from their holes, and quickly coiled towards Mareep, who had just deactivated its counterattack shield and was still adjusting its posture!

"Power Gem, break the tentacles!" Gu Beiri's voice suddenly rose.

Mare the sheep forcibly steadied its body, and the amber crystal between its two horns on its head instantly condensed and magnified!

A solid amber beam shot out, precisely sweeping towards the tips of the purple tentacles!

"Sizzle!"

The tentacles of the pot collided with the beam of power gems, producing a piercing sound of energy annihilation.

The two foremost tentacles were shattered by the beam of light, but the tentacles behind them continued to press forward stubbornly!

"Electric shock, maximum power, cover attack!" Gu Beiri shouted without pausing.

The golden light on Mare the sheep intensified, and arcs of electricity nearly twice as thick as before erupted, transforming into a small-scale electric net that enveloped the remaining tentacles and the main body of the pot!

"Boom!"

The electric light collided violently with the other two tentacles again, and the tentacles retreated inch by inch within the electric grid.

The pot was also affected by the spreading electric arc, and sparks of electricity exploded on its shell. Its body trembled slightly and it let out a muffled groan of pain.

After continuously unleashing Power Gems and Enhanced Electric Shocks, Mareep's panting became noticeably heavier.

But Potpot seemed to be in a worse state—its tentacle attack was completely neutralized, and several charred spots appeared on its carapace, interrupting its rolling momentum.

The two sides clashed head-on for the first time, seemingly evenly matched, but Hu Hu's rhythm was disrupted.

If you look closely, you'll notice that Shuttle's tentacles are trembling. The audience may not be able to see it, but both trainers definitely noticed it.

"As expected, her true form is delicate."

Gu Beiri narrowed his eyes.

It's true that the pot is hard, but that refers to the hard shell.

Just like hermit crabs, their shells protect their bodies, while the bodies themselves are extremely fragile.

Without this confrontation, Gu Beiri might not have even had the chance to injure Hu Hu.

But now, he knows what to do.
