Tokusatsu: Me, the Police God in the Kamen Rider World

Chapter 8 The Mysterious Bus and the Vanishing Clues

"Thank you so much, Minato-kun! You're such a kind person!"

Koizumi Haze was so excited he almost bowed, and quickly handed him a photo of Koizumi Yuko.

After seeing Koizumi Heze off, Minato looked at the photos, a hint of anticipation flashing in his eyes.

I have cases to handle and I can also get some sign-in points on the side. It's perfect.

He changed into a black shirt and set off immediately, his destination being Yuko Koizumi's house.

I've heard that the Japanese-style confectionery shop in Izumi sells the most authentic local specialty of Fudo.

But as soon as he arrived at the entrance of the pastry shop, Shuimen stopped in his tracks.

Not far away, a familiar figure was crouching furtively in the corner.

Who is that half-baked detective, Shotaro Hidari, who calls himself a "tough guy detective"?

Minato suppressed a laugh, quietly walked over, and patted Shotaro Hidari on the shoulder.

Shotaro was startled and turned around abruptly. Seeing it was Minato, he breathed a sigh of relief, his tone tinged with displeasure:

"Minato! You startled me! What are you doing here?"

Minato shrugged, a relaxed smile on his face: "Someone asked me to do something for them."

Upon hearing the words "get things done," Shotaro's face darkened, and he stared intently at him.

"You're not here to investigate Yuko Koizumi too, are you?"

Minato blinked, then nodded with a smile: "Yeah~"

"Just as I expected!" Shotaro Zuo wore a bitter expression, inwardly cursing.

Why is this guy everywhere? I had Philip investigate the Watergate scandal before, and the book they found was locked.

Philip was incredibly curious; if he hadn't been stopped, he would have rushed over to ask Watergate for an explanation.

As agreed, he had to notify Philip as soon as he saw the water gate.

Shotaro hesitated as he took out his phone, about to dial, when Minato suddenly pointed to the entrance of the confectionery shop.

His voice was urgent: "Hey, look over there! We're going to lose them!"

"Oh no!" Shotaro's expression changed, and he didn't even bother making the call before standing up abruptly.

He chased after that familiar figure. Minato smiled and shook his head, then followed closely behind.

The three of them followed Izumi Yuko and soon found themselves standing in front of a gold shop.

Akiko Narumi peeked closer and asked curiously, "Is she here to buy something?"

Minato Namikaze glanced at the glittering signboard of the gold shop, a light smile playing on his lips: "Judging by this, it's probably true."

No sooner had he finished speaking than Shotaro's phone suddenly rang.

He glanced down at the screen and saw "Philip" on it, then immediately answered, "Hello, Philip?"

On the other end of the phone, Philip's tone was calm and even: "I found the information you requested."

After a two-second silence, his voice suddenly rose, filled with an undeniable urgency:

"Still no news from Minato Namikaze? If not, I'm heading to the police station right now!"

Minato chuckled, leaned closer to Shotaro's phone, and deliberately drawled, "Oh? Philip? You're looking for me?"

His voice carried a youthful lightness, and the person on the other end of the phone was taken aback at first, followed by a startled "Aww!"

Just from the sound of his voice, you can imagine Philip jumping up: "You're Minato Namikaze, right? Right, right!"

Minato scratched his head, somewhat bewildered: "Yes, it's me. Why are you so agitated?"

He couldn't remember when he had met this enthusiastic young man.

Philip ignored his complaints and yelled into the phone, "Shotaro, I'm coming right now!"

He hurriedly added, "Minato Namikaze, please don't leave," and before Minato could respond, the line was disconnected with a "click."

Minato, holding up Shotaro's phone, turned to him with a blank expression.

"Detective, what's going on here?"

Shotaro Sō sighed and rubbed his forehead, looking exasperated. "I can't explain it either. You'll know when he gets here."

In his heart, however, he was thinking that none of his teammates were easy to deal with. Philip was in such a state that he dared to run around everywhere. He must be crazy.

Suddenly, as if remembering something, his expression turned serious, and he stared at Minato, asking in a deep voice:

"How do you know Philip's name?" He clearly remembered that this kid had never met Philip before and shouldn't know him at all.

A hint of wariness crept into his eyes as he spoke. Minato, however, waved his hand dismissively, a sly smile playing on his lips:

"Haha, I know a lot, but why—it's a secret~"

Shotaro was about to press for more information when he secretly began to wonder if Minato was one of Shroud's men.

But Narumi Akiko gently tugged at her arm. She whispered urgently, "Hey! She's out!"

Shotaro had no choice but to suppress his doubts and pull the two of them to the side to hide. Then they heard Izumi Yuko mutter angrily:

"I'm so angry! I have to go win some more money and have some fun!"

Judging from her expression, she's throwing a tantrum because she didn't get what she wanted.

But as soon as the words "win money" were uttered, the three of them's eyes lit up, and they quickly and cautiously followed.

After walking a few steps, Shotaro turned to Akiko and said, "Hey, Akiko, you go back first."

Akiko immediately bristled, her voice rising to a crescendo: "Why?!"

"Minato and I are professionals at tracking people. You'll only be a hindrance if you go," said Shotaro Satoshi, looking completely matter-of-fact.

These words thoroughly enraged Narumi Akiko.

She's the director of the Narumi Detective Agency and the daughter of the great Narumi detective. How could she put up with this?

He immediately began to lecture Shotaro in a "director-style manner," and the two started arguing.

Minato, exasperated, interjected, "Hey you two, stop arguing. She seems to have vanished."

Everyone looked up and saw a bus driving by at the street corner.

Minato glanced at the car body but didn't notice anything unusual, yet he felt inexplicably awkward.

"What's wrong?" Shotaro noticed that something was wrong with him and quickly asked.

"It's nothing." Minato shook his head, preparing to change direction to look for clues.

Suddenly, Philip's loud shouts rang out from afar: "Hey! Minato Namikaze! Wait for me!"

Minato's lips twitched, and he wondered to himself: In his memory...

This kid shouldn't be acting so loudly. Could I have remembered him wrong?

Shotaro Sato awkwardly rubbed his forehead, understanding the situation perfectly.

Philip becomes quite strange when he encounters something that interests him.

Akiko Narumi was full of questions. The Philip she knew was a quiet boy who was researching information. How come he seemed like a completely different person?

"Um... Philip isn't usually like this."

Shotaro quickly explained.

"Oh~ Is he interested in me?" Minato raised an eyebrow, smiling casually.

He did remember that this kid was always exceptionally persistent when he encountered something he was curious about.

Shotaro was instantly stunned: "How did you know?" His gaze toward Minato grew increasingly serious.

Who exactly is this guy? How come he seems to know everything about them?

Watergate ignored his confusion. Philip had already run over and was looking him up and down, circling around him.

The way he looked at her, as if she were a rare treasure, made Minato feel extremely uncomfortable.

Finally, Minato couldn't help but reach out and pat him on the shoulder:

"Hey, Philip, are you studying ninjutsu?"

"If you watch again, I'll have to charge you!"
