Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds: The Path of Evolution

Shin-Domino City, Satellite Ward.

When Guan Bai woke up, he found himself in a messy alley. The surroundings were shrouded in mist, making it impossible for Guan Bai to see where the alley's exit was.

The sound of police sirens came from somewhere, echoing through the streets and alleys, causing a sharp pain in Guan Bai's still-unconscious mind.

Panic washed over his thoughts, and Guan Bai instinctively started running.

As I ran out of the alley, the roar of engines came from the road on my right, and it grew closer and closer.

A beautiful motorcycle, as black as night, burst out of the smog and flashed past Guan Bai's eyes like a night crow.

Guan Bai saw the driver on the motorcycle clearly: a young, rebellious face beneath a black helmet, covered with golden patterns.

At the same time, the man on the motorcycle also saw Guan Bai, and their eyes met.

Guan Bai rubbed his eyes in disbelief.

What did I see?

Isn't that Crow Hogan, nicknamed "The Raven"?!

I crossed?

Is this some kind of satellite district of New Domino City in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's?!

But I'm just an ordinary working person!

Shouldn't those who cross over into the Yu-Gi-Oh! world usually be the top-ranked players with the cutest cards?!

I've only played MD Master a few times, so overall I'm just a newbie in Yu-Gi-Oh!

Why did I transmigrate into this world so beautifully?!

Kanpaku still clearly remembers the plot about the 5DS.

If Kanpaku remembers correctly, if the crow escaped in a D-Wheel, then the satellite district guards must have been following behind!

Sure enough, as if in response to Kanpaku's idea, the sound of propellers turning rang out, and the helicopter chasing the crows emerged from the smog!

Two helicopters were deployed. One went straight after the crow, while the other hovered in the air, shining a powerful beam of light at Guan Bai.

What's going on?

Guan Bai raised his hand to shield his eyes and heard the police's voice coming from high above.

"Unregistered user detected. Repeat, unregistered user detected."

"Please do not resist, wait for ground crew to arrive and make the arrest!"

Kanpaku didn't even need to think; he was being treated as an undocumented immigrant and had become a target for arrest!

What a joke! How could I let you catch me?!

Guan Bai turned and ran into the depths of the alley.

The sound of police cars accelerating came from afar, closely following behind Kanpaku.

Humans can't keep up with motorcycles, of course, but this is a narrow and winding alley!

Do all these pursuing police officers know how to drift and not slow down when going around corners?

The sound of drifting and turning got closer and closer to Guan Bai, making him wonder if these people had activated some kind of wall-penetrating ability, as they could move freely through such narrow alleys.

These police officers are driving way too well!

We're about to be caught!

Guan Bai felt a chill run down his spine. Was he going to be arrested by the police in New Children's Vision City as soon as he landed?

I don't want that kind of thing!

If caught by the police in Shin-Domino City, they will not only go to jail, but will also be branded as criminals.

This mark was seen by the people of the city as a symbol of criminals, an indelible mark of shame.

Before the satellite district and the top district were merged, people with this mark were considered trash and were ridiculed and ostracized by the city residents!

Moreover, this marking is a kind of cutting-edge technology.

If something happens, the police can immediately use this marker to locate and identify the perpetrator!

Although this is the same style as Crab Bro's, Guan Bai doesn't want to have a tattoo on his face...

Finally, Guan Bai ran into a dead end, where a police car blocked his way.

He had nowhere else to go.

Guan Bai swallowed hard, watching the police approach from the alley entrance.

"How about a duel?"

Guan Bai tried to delay the police.

In the era of the 5ds, the invention of perpetual motion machines transformed dueling from just a game into a productive force that could benefit the entire world.

Therefore, people in this era love dueling more than ever before!

As long as you have a deck and a duel disk, even when the police are chasing you, they can't resist their card addiction and play a game with you.

This event is also recorded in the first episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds.

However, Kanpaku not only lacked a Duel Disk but also a deck, leaving him entirely reliant on verbal sparring to intimidate others.

The policeman in front gave a disdainful smile.

"How could someone like you, an unregistered resident of the satellite region, possibly have a deck or a duel disk? Let alone the ability to duel me!"

"Instead of going through the trouble of lying, it's better to just surrender."

"If you want a duel, you'd better have a Duel Disk first!"

Guan Bai pressed himself against the corner of the wall, his entire back soaked with sweat.

Suddenly, a mechanical voice rang in Guan Bai's mind.

"Duelist detected. Duel disks and decks being distributed—"

There's a system?

There's always a way out!

A surge of ecstasy erupted from Guan Bai's despairing heart. With the system and the card deck, he at least had the ability to fight back!

A flash of blue light made it difficult for the approaching police officers to open their eyes.

Guan Bai noticed that a mechanical-looking duel disk had appeared on his arm.

It's the same style as the seahorse from the Dark Side of Dimensions!

This Duel Disk is Kaiba Corporation's unparalleled cutting-edge technology in that timeline. It's not only lightweight and convenient, but it can also simulate various forms of Duel Disks!

In a moment of hesitation, the Duel Disk changed shape, transforming into a classic design from the DM era.

After sending the deck and duel disk to Kanpaku, the system in his mind fell silent and stopped speaking.

But that's good, having a deck and a duel disk means there's hope!

We can explore the system functions and other miscellaneous things later; right now, Guan Bai just wants to play cards!

The police officer opposite was somewhat surprised to see the Duel Disk and Card Deck that had appeared on Guan Bai's arm; he was astonished that Guan Bai actually had the ability to duel.

He took the dueling disc from the police car with great interest.

"Interesting. Well then, this old man will play along with you, you piece of trash from the satellite district!"

"By the way, my name is Junki Shigeru, remember that."

He arrogantly unfolded his duel disk, looking down at Kanpaku with his nose in the air.

Okay, if we have cards to play, then there's hope!

Kanpaku raised his left arm, facing Junmoku in response.

"duel!"

[Kanpaku LP: 4000]

【Shigeru Junki LP: 4000】

"I'll make the first move!"

Shunmu boldly seized the initiative.

Because Kanpaku was still familiarizing himself with the deck, he didn't declare the first move in time, so he could only watch as the police drew cards first.

"My turn, draw a card!"

Shunmu draws a card from the top of the deck.

After inspecting his hand, he sneered and slapped down a monster.

"I usually summon assault rifle dogs!"

A circular passageway opened, and a Doberman Pinscher armed with two machine guns ran out, barking menacingly at Kanpaku.

Assault Dog

[Beast/Earth]

[Four-star] 1200/800

"Set one card down, end turn!"

Assault dogs!

Isn't this the monster used in the duel between Ushio and Kani in the first episode of 5DS? Now it's being used by his own opponent.

It seems that Shunmu is using a classic guard deck.

I never expected that my first duel in this world would be against the same deck as Crab Bro's first duel.

This coincidence of fate truly amazed Kanpaku.

However, since he has encountered a situation similar to that of Crab Brother, Kanpaku is determined not to lose!

He wants to win, escape, and make a name for himself in this world!

The turn of the recluse.

"My turn, draw a card!"
