Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds: The Path of Evolution

"Activate the effect of the Valley of Mist Thunder Demon to return the face-down monster on my field to my hand, increasing its ATK by 500!"

【The Thunder God of the Valley of Mist】

[Seven Stars] 2600/2400→3100/2400

Immediately afterwards, the trap card to the left of Kanpaku opened as he moved.

"Then, I activate the Trap Card Synchro Attack! Until the End Phase, increase the ATK of the Valley of the Mist Raijin by 500 times the number of its Synchro Materials!"

"There are two materials for the Thunder Demon, therefore his attack power has increased by another 1000!"

Two red beams of light rose from the graveyard and swirled into Thor's forehead.

His size became enormous, and the already violent lightning on his body became even more dazzling, with thick electric snakes constantly destroying the surrounding buildings!

【The Thunder God of the Valley of Mist】

[Seven Stars] 3100/2400→4100/2400

"Attack power 4100?!"

As Niuwei stared at the enormous demon that was almost eight stories tall, his voice trembled with disbelief, as if the lightning in those images had actually struck him.

He was actually scared by the monster in the garbage of the satellite area!

Niuwei belatedly realized his lapse in composure, and the shock in his heart turned into annoyance, and then into raging fury!

"Don't be so arrogant! Even if your Thunder God Demon attack power reaches 4100, you can't end my life this round!"

The Guardian's attack power is 2800. Even if it is defeated by the Thunder God Demon, it will only take 1300 combat damage to itself!

The winner of the next round will still be myself!

Witnessing Ushio's reaction, Kanpaku realized that the policeman had run out of tricks.

Instead, he calmed down from his excitement—a sense of relief that came from confirming his victory.

Kanpaku calmly activated his last trap card, revealing the despairing truth to Ushio in its entirety.

"The final trap card, Co-op."

"I discard the Valley of the Dawn's fledgling bird from my hand, and choose the Guardian on the field to activate. Until the end of this turn, its ATK and DEF will become the same as the fledgling bird!"

The young monster bird in Guan Bai's hand transformed into a phantom, its elongated soul fire tightly binding the guardian, causing him to lose all his power.

[Official Guardian]

[Six-Star] 2800/2600 → 400/600

Now, all the conditions for victory are in place.

Niuwei's voice trembled with disbelief.

"You should have gathered Baby Bird and Co-op in the last round, so why did you choose to face down Baby Bird's face-down position?!"

Kanpaku could have chosen to use the Co-op Battle when the Guardian attacked, instead of covering the baby monster!

Guan Bai shouted loudly.

"That was a gamble for victory, for this decisive blow!"

"The Thunder God Demon of the Valley of Mist, attack the Guardian!"

"Lightning strikes through the fog!"

Thor flapped his wings, unleashing golden lightning that struck the Guardian's body!

Like a storm sweeping across the ground and lightning shattering rocks, a massive arm covered in golden feathers swept across the guardian, shattering him instantly!

[Ushio Tetsu LP: 3500→0]

"Aaaaaah!!"

Amidst the cow's screams, the police wheel spewed out a large amount of smoke, and its speed instantly dropped to zero!

A screeching sound of friction rang out, and the police wheel with the bull's tail went completely out of control, being left behind by the Blackbird in the smoke of the brakes.

"Very good!!"

Crowe forgot the pain in his leg and happily celebrated the victory of the Regent.

"I'm so ashamed!"

Guan Bai made a joke, feigning modesty, then wiped the cold sweat from his brow and focused intently on controlling the D-Wheel.

This win was really close.

Kanpaku had already figured it out when he drew the co-op battle card.

If we're talking about long-term endurance, the current Valley of the Dawn deck and the Ushio special pursuit deck are simply incomparable.

Without the Kamikaze of the Valley of the Dawn, the Valley of the Dawn deck can only play one card at a time!

Kanpaku hasn't drawn the Giant Bird from the Valley of Mist yet.

Instead of simply drawing one card and playing one, how can a deck lacking cards in Valley of the Mist win against a slow beat deck?

Let's review the possibility that the Bulltail didn't draw the High Speed Storm.

If Kanpaku chooses to use the Co-op Battle early, the result will only be the departure of the Guardian and 1000 base damage to Ushio.

What awaits Kanpaku next is being dragged into the long plate, and then being pulled into those disgusting perpetual traps by the bull's tail to put him in jail.

That's why Kanpaku chose to suppress the baby monster, waiting for an opportunity to unleash its power.

Fortunately, he won his gamble.

……

They sped along and soon arrived at the Daedalus Bridge, Crow's secret base.

The Blackbird stopped, and Kanpaku helped Crowe toward his shed.

The children, having heard the engine roar, were already waiting in the open space in the center of the shed. Seeing the injured Crowe, they anxiously gathered around him.

"Brother Kro, what happened?"

"Brother Crow, you're injured again. Does it still hurt?"

The children chattered excitedly about Crowe, the boys helped push Crowe's broken sofa around, and a few little girls searched for medicine in Crowe's house.

Kro's voice trembled slightly.

"Alright, alright, you little brats, this little injury is nothing to Boss Crow! I'll take care of myself. Oh, by the way... here's the promised gift, go share it."

With his free hand, he took the stolen card out of his pocket and handed it to the oldest and most sensible child.

The older child understood Crow's feelings, so he took the initiative to call the other children to give Crow some space to be alone.

"Everyone, come with me over there, I'm going to hand out cards!"

The children hesitated before leaving, and some of them turned back several times.

Guan Bai helped Crocodile to the broken sofa and prepared to give him a simple bandage.

"They're so well-behaved...they're so young and already know how to take care of adults."

"Of course, I raised these kids! I know they're all good children."

Crowe's voice was tinged with pride for these children.

Guan Bai carefully bandaged Crowe's wound, trying his best to minimize the pain.

Even so, Kanpaku still heard Crowe's suppressed cry of pain in his throat.

After the bandaging was finished, Guan Bai sat on the mattress next to him and took a breath.

He handed Crowe some food, asking as he did so.

"What are your plans now? You can't move around anymore, will there be problems with supplies here?"

Crowe sighed.

"This is nothing! This little injury won't even last three days! My body is made of steel!"

It wasn't that Kanpaku didn't believe in Crowe's recovery ability.

After all, in the anime, this guy was beaten up by the Machine Emperor so badly that his ribs were broken, yet he was still able to fight alongside Yusei in the Blackbird.

However, out of concern for his friend, Guan Bai still had to offer a few words of advice.

"You should stay here and rest for now. I'll take care of the food."

Crowe was a little embarrassed.

"I never expected to trouble you again in the end."

Guan Bai shrugged, indicating that he was happy to let his friend take advantage of this.

"We haven't known each other for long, but we've escaped death together, haven't we?"

"You're ridiculously kind!"
