Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds: The Path of Evolution

The black-haired boy used the cards smoothly without pausing for a moment.

But unlike the usual thoughtful fluency of Kanpaku, Samejima seemed to never insert thought into his moves.

"Activate the Spell Card, Evolve Light Stream, and destroy your face-down card in the center!"

As the spell card was activated, the Cyber Dragon on the field opened its mouth, and white particles gathered inside, transforming into a massive stream of light that erupted forth.

With a loud bang, the cover card of the Kanpaku was flipped open and shattered.

If there are any sharp-eyed viewers, they will see that this destroyed trap card is rendered ineffective in attack.

Attack incapacitation is a counter-trap that can nullify combat and end the battle phase.

It can effectively prevent the combo attacks of the Jaeger Dragon.

I can't believe this kid is so lucky, he just happened to pick this one!

Before the virtual image projection had even finished, Samejima's hand, moving so fast it was almost a blur, produced another card.

"I usually summon Primal Cyber Dragon, and this card's name is also used as Cyber Dragon on the field!"

A small, mechanical, serpentine dragon emerged from the ground and appeared on the field.

Compared to the electronic dragon, its color is darker and it has many unfinished joints, but these features give it an unfinished beauty.

Samejima paused for a moment, then solemnly took a magic card from his hand and held it high!

"Activate the Spell Card, Fusion!"

"Send the Cyber Dragons on the field and in your hand to the Graveyard to Fusion Summon Cyber Twin Dragons!"

The piercing high-pitched sounds of welding and the sounds of metal deformation alternated repeatedly. The two electronic dragons twisted and rotated, finally merging into a huge pillar of light.

Amidst the lightning and thunder, a black shadow appeared, and a two-headed mechanical dragon emerged from the light, its two heads looking down at Guan Bai and his monster!

A super monster straight out of a science fiction movie appeared on the field, its enormous body looking like it could swallow Guan Bai whole!

Kanpaku saw the intense aggression in Samejima's eyes.

The offensive is coming!!

"Battle phase, Cyber Twin Dragons, attack the warriors of the Valley of Mist!"

"Evolution Double Flash!!"

The enormous twin dragon heads opened their massive mouths, and two terrifying flames spewed out from their mouths, intertwining and transforming into a terrifying storm of light that directly engulfed the warriors of the Valley of Mist!

The aftershock swept across the ground and rushed towards Kanpaku, slamming into his dueling disk and knocking him back several meters!

[Kanpaku LP: 4000 → 2900]

"Now, the barrier blocking my way no longer exists!"

Samejima suddenly waved his hand and shouted loudly.

"Cyber Twin Dragons' special ability allows them to attack twice during a single battle phase! Give me another shot, Evolve and Flash!"

As he watched the spiraling flames rushing towards him, Guan Bai felt the intense heat so close it felt like it was about to evaporate all the moisture from his body!

He quickly opened the last remaining card.

"Activate the traps to protect the defensive walls!"

"Reset this battle's damage to zero, and let me draw a card!"

An invisible wave appeared in front of Kanpaku, blocking the storm of light that was about to engulf him and turning it into particles that entered Kanpaku's Duel Disk.

Guan Bai pulled out a card, panting with lingering fear.

On the other side, Samejima's expression was not pleasant.

His initial fast break failed to achieve the desired effect.

In his mind, his opponent should only have 100 basic points left.

Fortunately, he still had an Electronic Twin Dragon with 2800 attack power on his field, and Samejima did not believe that his opponent could easily defeat it from the front!

So there's no problem, I'll still win, and I'll save the electron flow from its decline!

"Set one card down, and my turn ends."

Such intense interaction, Samejima displayed an overwhelming offensive as soon as he entered the arena, which immediately startled all the audience!

"What a fierce combo! Samejima Kawakami's Cyber Twin Dragons are raining down like a storm!!"

The host's shocked and excited voice was amplified through the sound system.

"And the meticulous defense laid out by the Reaper was able to withstand most of such a fierce attack! The two sides are evenly matched!!"

"I wonder what kind of exciting offensive and defensive battle these two players will bring us next?!"

The host, holding a bowl of water, gave his explanation.

The audience split into two groups, cheering and encouraging Kanpaku and Samejima respectively.

Compared to the indirect feelings of these bystanders, Kanpaku's direct experience was far more thrilling.

It wasn't just the oppressive feeling emanating from the enormous mechanical monster opposite him that made Guan Bai's heart pound; it was also the boy's relentless and fierce attacks that made Guan Bai's heart race.

Holy crap, is this guy who plays the electronic flow actually a simple-minded power attack enthusiast?

My goodness, back when Kanpaku was playing with the Cyber Dragon, he wouldn't dare to attack without clearing out all the traps.

Using a large monster to trigger a trap is not a strategy for electronic playstyles!

If it weren't for the fact that the trap Guan Bai drew wasn't of very good quality, he would have taken down Samejima in one round!

However, this aggressive attack bypassed his own plan and caused a loss of basic points for Kanpaku.

The evolved flames that were unleashed just happened to blast the back row of the Kanpaku, rendering their attacks powerless.

I just happened to draw a Fusion card in my hand, so I can immediately fuse a high-ATK Fusion Monster to destroy my own field!

Unfortunately, the fused monster he summoned was an electronic twin dragon.

Because there weren't enough Cyber Dragons, they didn't fuse with Cyber Terminator Dragon, but they happened to run into a Guardian Barrier that could only block one instance of battle damage.

If he had fused with the electronic final dragon, this punch would have been blocked by the guard's defensive barrier!

What incredible luck! No wonder he was able to make it to the semifinals with his electron beam!

Who on earth raised such a lucky and stubborn kid?

But anyway, now you, the aggressive electronic player, are going to get ready to play a mid-range beatdown with me!

If you can't beat Cyber Dragon in a beat battle, then Kanpaku should just write his name backwards!

"My turn, draw a card!"

"Activate the card, the cry of the living dead!"

Kanpaku pointed to the last face-down card on the field with his right hand and naturally flipped it over.

"It can Special Summon one monster from my Graveyard in Attack Position. When this card leaves the field, this card is destroyed. When that monster is destroyed, this card is destroyed."

"The warrior I want to summon by special is, of course, the warrior of the Valley of Mist."

The strange coffin opened, and a warrior clad in blue robes leaped out, transforming into a blue beam of lightning that surged into the mortal realm, making his reappearance!

"Then, the Thunderbird of the Valley of Mist's effect allows it to be Special Summoned when it returns to your hand!"

The emerald bird chirped merrily, circled around the blue vulture, flew once around Guan Bai's body, and then flapped its wings to land on the ground.

With a flick of his right hand, the Thunder Bird and the Warrior soared into the sky in an instant, circling and traversing more than ten meters before evolving into a bolt of lightning above the arena!

"O demons and gods lurking beneath the mist, who rule over thunder, shatter my chains by riding the roaring storms through the valleys!"

"Summon Synchro Summon, Raijinki of the Valley of Mist!"

A mountain-like, imposing figure appeared above, its enormous wings obscuring the lights above the arena, leaving Guan Bai in shadow.

Thor folded his wings and stepped onto the arena, causing the ground to tremble violently. His aura was almost as massive as that of the electronic twin dragons opposite him.
