Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds: The Path of Evolution

Attack power 8000!

"This is the highest attack power a monster has ever achieved since the tournament began!! Samejima's CyberDragon has reached an unprecedented 8000 attack power!"

The host was so excited that his voice cracked, but he kept shouting.

"With such powerful attacks, how could Kanpaku possibly survive such an onslaught?!"

This is their final round!

If Kanpaku survives Samejima's all-out attack, then Samejima will be the one who loses; otherwise, Kanpaku will be completely devoured by the Eternal Evolution Flame.

Both Jorge and Allen in the stands were on tenterhooks.

The two of them prayed and cheered for Kanpaku at the same time.

On the dueling field.

Samejima was breathing rapidly, a feeling of excitement coursing through his body like a current of electricity.

He shouted loudly.

"Battle Phase!!"

Instead of having Cyber Dragon attack the Mist Vulture, he directly targeted the strongest monster on the field, the Raijinki from the Valley of Mist!

He intends to use absolute force to completely overwhelm the enemy!

"Electronic Terminator Dragon, attack the Thunder Demon of the Valley of Mist! Use your power to utterly crush the enemy!!"

"Eternal Evolutionary Flame!!"

"The effect of the Valley of the Mist can be activated during your opponent's turn! I return the Mist Vulture on the field to my hand, increasing its ATK by 500."

The Kanpaku responded swiftly to the timing of the attack declaration, triggering a series of effects.

"Immediately following up with a Trap Card, Synchro Attack! This increases the ATK of my Valley of the Sacred Light Thunder Demon by 500 times the number of its materials!"

Samejima's face was full of a confident smile.

"Useless. The Cyber Terminator Dragon's attack power is 8000. Your methods are nothing but a death throes!!"

"You little brat who only knows how to attack, don't underestimate other people's cards!!"

Guan Bai quickly flipped over the trap card and shouted loudly.

"Following up with the third chain, the Trap Card Flip World! Based on this card's effect, all face-up monsters on the field have their ATK and DEF swapped!"

"Let's blew it all away!"

"What?!"

Samejima's eyes were filled with disbelief; he couldn't believe that he was about to face defeat!

Chain settlement can lead to success even if it is late to the game.

【The Thunder God of the Valley of Mist】

【七星】2600/2400→2400/2600→3900/2600

While such attack power isn't enough to wipe out Samejima Kawami's life points, it's more than enough to bring Kanpaku the crown of victory!

"Charge, Raijin-kiri of the Valley of Mist!!"

The three mechanical behemoths took turns spewing out torrents of light, and the three enormous flames intertwined to form an even larger ocean of light, almost engulfing the entire arena.

The Thunder Demon of the Valley of Mist unleashed all its power, summoning terrifying lightning to the fullest extent to launch a counterattack against this imposing enemy!

Golden lightning, like a scepter dividing the sea, cleaved through the blue-white sea of light, charging toward the Electronic Terminator Dragon with unstoppable momentum.

"boom!!"

The deafening explosion even caused ringing in the ears of the entire audience!

Even as the one who defeated the final dragon, Kanpaku must use his Duel Disk to withstand the aftershocks of the explosion!

"boom!!"

The smoke from the explosion engulfed one end of the dueling arena, and Samejima Kawuri's figure flew out from the smoke.

He managed to adjust his posture in mid-air and finally landed just outside the edge of the arena, avoiding a further fall and a more devastating blow.

As for Kanpaku, he was blasted several meters away by the clash between Raijinki and Electronic Terminator Dragon!

"Hah... Whew..."

Panting, Guan Bai was covered in sweat.

As expected of the strongest ace of the electronic flow, even the explosion caused by its destruction was enough to send Guan Bai flying!

However, the strongest monster on the field right now is undoubtedly Kanpaku's Raijinki from Kasumi Valley!

And victory will inevitably be won by Kanpaku!

Samejima has come to realize that he is the loser this time.

His first setback in life was like a hammer blow, shattering all his plans.

How can someone who wants to revive the legacy of electron flow be a loser?

Once the thought appeared, it could never be driven away from my heart.

Does electron flow truly have lost its meaning in this era? No, it's not electron flow, it's oneself—one is not the eternal victor!

The teacher's guidance and past achievements seem to have faded from my memory, becoming somewhat blurry, and I can't see anything at all.

It wasn't until Guan Bai's voice pierced his ears that he realized what had happened.

"Your combat phase is over."

Amidst the terrifying thunder, the towering Raijinki, accompanied by leaping electric snakes, landed beside Kanpaku.

Golden light shone on Kanpaku's side, casting his shadow into Samejima Kawanaru's eyes.

[Seven Stars] 3900/2600

Ah, the opponents and the monsters are still standing on the field.

I've already lost...

"My turn... is over."

Samejima's voice no longer carried the confidence she had when she first entered the scene; instead, it conveyed a sense of dejection and loneliness, as if she had fallen into a trough.

"The price of this power combination is that at the end of the turn, I will take damage from the Cyber Terminator Dragon due to its increased attack power..."

As soon as he finished speaking, white electricity exploded beneath his feet.

In a sudden burst of lightning, he was violently blasted away and fell to the ground, unable to get up.

"The final victor of this duel is none other than Kanpaku!!"

The host announced the results of the competition, and the cheers that erupted from the entire audience all rushed toward Kanpaku.

Guan Bai looked around, a strange feeling welling up inside him.

This is a cruel place. The winners take everything, while the losers have nothing and can only pick up their shattered dignity and leave.

He stepped forward and helped Samejima up, who was still feeling dejected.

The latter looked at Guan Bai with some surprise. He had thought that Guan Bai would do the same thing as those guys who used to mock Electron Flow, humiliating him for his failure.

Aside from teachers, the boy, who rarely receives kindness from others, was somewhat at a loss.

He stammered.

"Thank you, thank you."

Kanpaku looked at him and thought of Kaiser Ryo after the battle with Aid in the anime.

In a sense, could I be considered an act of charity?

"Your duel was spectacular, but next time, don't just focus on your own duel; also think about how your opponent will respond to you."

After saying that, Guan Bai turned and left.

Kanpaku doesn't consider himself a good person at reasoning, so he can't rouse a dejected duelist with just a few words.

That's all I have to say. Perhaps I'll see this Shark Island again someday.

Next up is Allen's game, so I need to go to the stands and cheer him on.

Watching Kanpaku's departing figure, Samejima Kawuri inexplicably felt a sense of "senior's care".

Although he was still confused and dejected, he was no longer as desperate.

But what will happen to Electroflow's future if he can't keep winning? And where will his own future lead?

……

The entrance to the audience seating area.

Guan Bai happened to catch Alan coming down.

"Next, it's your turn to duel with Kuromiya."

"Um."

Allen nodded and took a deep breath.

"I don't know how this duel will go. I've never encountered a guy like this before, someone who's good at targeting specific opponents."

"Just fight with all your might, and let your soul be satisfied."

Allen nodded and turned to walk towards the field.
