Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds: The Path of Evolution

The pain still lingered in Guan Bai's body as he struggled to breathe.

The dragon's attack still lingered on his hands.

The feeling of brushing past death caused his blood adrenaline levels to surge wildly.

Guan Bai felt that with each breath, the air became fresher, and the surrounding air was flowing directly into his brain through his blood vessels!

The loss of speed just now almost caused Guan Bai to plunge into the deep sea and be trapped in that dark, deadly place.

However, he pulled through, and the Planet was still far ahead of Yamada Goro's D-Wheel!

In other words, the advantage lies with me!

High spirits for battle!!

"My turn, draw a card!"

[Kanpaku SPC: 7→7] [Yamada Tsuyoshi SPC: 6→6]

A green flash streaked across the battlefield, appearing like a cool breeze in early spring amidst the fiery interplay of gold and red.

Kanpaku simply stuffed the card into the Planet.

"The card I'm about to activate is High-Speed Magic - Downgrade!"

This card was seized from Lunshan Qing.

Perfect timing! Kanpaku needs to use the cards of the Gear Gang's executives to deal with the Gear Gang's leader!

"Remove six high-speed indicators and draw two cards from my deck!"

[Kanpaku SPC: 7→1] [Yamada Gōrin SPC: 7]

The six high-speed indicators evaporated instantly, and the speed of Kanpaku's Planet decreased drastically once again.

However, having prepared in advance, Kanpaku was determined not to lose control again and quickly reduced his speed.

The Planet, trailing a red light, was still as fast as lightning, leaving Yamada Gorin behind it only able to catch the Kanpaku's exhaust fumes!

Kanpaku placed his right hand on top of the deck and took a deep breath.

Come on, Pot of Greed, let me draw from it!

With a whoosh, the two cards flew out with the wind, forming a perfect arc, and entered the Planet.

"Normal Summoning: Dragoon Regiment - Soldiers!"

A swift gust of wind swept by, and the female warrior with blue butterfly wings brandished her pair of blades, letting out a delicate shout as she made her entrance.

[Birds and Beasts/Wind]

[Four-star] 1700/1000

"Then, I unleash the high-speed magic - Illusionary Wind! I resurrect the little javelin dragon from the graveyard!"

The phantom-like light transformed into a dazzling wind, tearing open the dimensional gate and opening a passage to the underworld.

A flash of white light, and the crimson dragon cleaved through the illusion, charging back from the underworld into reality.

【Small Javelin Dragon】

[Two-star] 1000/500

As soon as Guan Bai had a thought, the two monsters shot out like lightning, transforming into two beams of blue light and rushing into the sea suspended in the sky.

"I'll use a level four Dragoon Regiment soldier, plus a level two Javelin Dragon to summon a star!"

"Brave warrior, riding your snow-white dragon, wielding your demon-slaying spear, pierce through the enemy and bring me victory!"

"Synchronized Summon, Dragon Rider Knight - Demon Lance Dragon Knight!"

A beam of blue light shot out of the sea, creating a waterspout in the inverted, boundless water, connecting the seabed and the sky, like a pillar supporting the heavens.

Amidst the interplay of cyan, blue, and white, the figure of a pure white dragon knight emerges from this image of natural disaster.

The knight's golden lance cleaved through the towering water column, and he rode a majestic flying dragon, soaring and circling above the nuclear dragon!

[Six-star] 2000/1100

The recluse and the knight simultaneously pointed their lances at the nuclear dragon.

"Battle Phase, Demon Lance Dragon Knight, Attack Core Transformed Dragon!"

"Hahaha!!"

Yamada Gorin burst into wild laughter.

"Attack my nuclear dragon with a monster with 2000 attack power? Have you lost your mind?!"

Guan Bai raised an eyebrow, but instead of answering directly, he waved his hand.

"Activate the effect of the Demon Lance Dragon Knight."

"Before its damage step in battle, it can banish a Winged Beast monster from its Graveyard, increasing its ATK by the ATK of that banished monster!"

"What?!"

Yamada Gorin recalled the two bird-beast warriors that Kanpaku had summoned to the graveyard in a synchronized summoning!

They are enough to make the Demon Lance Dragon Knight's attack power exceed three thousand!

"not good!!"

"This is great for me!"

Kanpaku takes a monster card from the graveyard.

"Except for the Dragon Rider Regiment - Soldiers, I will increase the attack power of the Demon Lance Dragon Knight by 1700!"

The phantom of the butterfly wings merged into the body of the Demon Lance Dragon Knight, causing its power to surge terrifyingly, and its entire body was enveloped in a storm.

[Six-Star] 2000/1100 → 3700/1100

"Pierce it, the fierce wind pierces the gun!!"

At the command of the Grand Master, the dragon swirling in the storm let out a long, drawn-out roar.

With a flick of his golden lance, the knight merged with the dragon, transforming into a pure white aurora that pierced through the body of the giant dragon and struck Yamada Gorin's body!

"Aaaaaah!!!"

Amidst screams, Yamada Gorin's D-Wheel groaned in agony, unable to bear the strain any longer.

The wild D-wheel began to zigzag along the path of light, almost on the verge of collapse.

[Yamada Gorin LP: 2000→1300]

Yamada was on the verge of despair, yet a glimmer of hope remained in his heart.

He survived; at least he has another round.

As long as we can still draw cards, everything will be alright!

However, the cold, hoarse voice of the dueling assassin shattered the last vestige of hope in his heart.

"Activate the Continuous Trap Card, and the Dragoon Rifle will charge!"

"Once per turn, target one Dragoon monster on the field and equip it with a Dragoon monster from your Graveyard."

Guan Bai presses the button, and a card pops out of the graveyard.

"I'll equip the Trident from the graveyard!"

"As an equipped monster, the Fork Dragon can perform two attacks per battle phase!"

"What?!"

To Yamada Goro, the voice of the regent was like the tolling of a death knell.

All his ambitions were utterly destroyed by these tolling tolling bells!

"Let's fight again!!"

"Dragon Knight with Demon Lance, launch a direct attack on Yamada Gorin!"

In the storm-like attack, Yamada Gorin and his D-Wheel were completely overturned, turning into two falling black dots and disappearing into the darkness of the deep sea.

Defeat the expert-level duelist

[Rewards: 10 Dragon Riders themed card packs, 10 Trap themed card packs]

As Yamada Gorō fell, he looked at the Nuclear Dragon card among the scattered cards.

In the end... it still self-destructed.

Just like these nuclear monsters...

As his last consciousness faded, Yamada Gorō sank into the sea, disappearing into the silent stillness.

As one side fell, the entire path of light emitted a blindingly bright light.

It was as if the program had been activated.

The runes on the golden path flowed like a river, propelling Guan Bai ever closer to the finish line.

The surrounding seawater, like a mirror, reflected the golden light, enveloping the Planet and the Regent!

He felt warm currents flowing through his body.

Like washing away stains, clean up all the damage that has accumulated.

As the light faded, Guan Bai realized he had reached the end, the Temple of Light, which was originally quite a distance away.

As he disembarked from the Planet, Kanpaku stepped onto the ground paved with gold.

From the light source, a mechanical, repetitive voice beckoned him forward.

"Hello, fellow stranger in a foreign land..."
