Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds: The Path of Evolution

"Activate the trap, absorb the shield!"

"Based on this card's effect, I negate Brast's attack and recover my Life Points based on its ATK!"

"What?!"

Kro let out a strange, incredulous cry.

However, he could not stop the Guan Bai's trap from being set.

A strange vortex flew out from Katu, spiraling and absorbing Blaster's spiral spear.

With a "whoosh" sound, the vortex dispersed into wave-like particles, which flowed back into Guan Bai's body and transformed into his fundamental elements.

[Kanpaku LP: 200 → 1900]

"Kanpaku, you're too cunning!"

Crowe complained, dissatisfied.

Although as a duelist, he knew the principle that writing an effect would activate it.

But Kanpaku is like Doraemon from an old-school cartoon.

Each time, they manage to find a trap from who-knows-where to neutralize their own attacks.

This made him unable to contain his urge to complain.

Guan Bai shrugged and smiled.

"It's not like this is the first time I've used a trap like this."

"Just kidding, I'm so glad you gave it your all!"

Crowe shrugged.

Then, he pressed the duel disk, his tone becoming resolute.

"Back to the battle, I still have two monsters to attack!"

"The withered, wandering tree attacks the radiant angel!"

The red and black bird swung its arms and unleashed two crimson wind blades that crossed into a cross, shattering the Radiant Angel's defenses in one strike!

The effect of Guan Baifa's Radiant Angel is activated.

"Radiant Angel's effect: Special Summon a second Radiant Angel from your Deck in Attack Position!"

"Then Blackwing-Winged Raven, attack the Radiant Angel again."

"Black Hurricane!"

The Kaiyi Raven spun rapidly once more, its black fist forged from steel charging straight at the monster of the Kanpaku.

The Radiant Angels unleashed golden light waves in an attempt to retaliate, but against the Iron Fist, it was nothing more than an ant trying to shake a tree!

Kaiyi Raven shattered the Radiant Angel, and the aftershocks rushed straight to Guan Bai's body, pushing his hard-won basic points back to their limit!

[Kanpaku LP: 1900 → 100]

"Kanpaku, your base score is almost at its limit!"

Kro looked intently into Guan Bai's eyes.

"Let me see if you can push yourself beyond your limits in this state!"

Immense pressure.

Guan Bai was unusually silent.

He threw himself into the duel, activating the effect of the destroyed Radiant Angel.

"By chaining the effect of Radiant Angel, I Special Summon a Great Sun Cube from my Deck."

A sturdy mechanical angel descended, its golden light warmly shining upon Guan Bai, seemingly trying to dispel the coldness in his heart.

Crowe looked at the monster and smiled easily.

"My turn is over, Kanpaku, it's your turn."

For the first time, Kanpaku felt completely overwhelmed.

He looked in the direction of Crowe with a somewhat solemn expression.

Then look at your deck.

What if he doesn't get a monster in his next draw, and doesn't even get a trap for survival?

Will that mark his first defeat?

Kanpaku had never been so focused before, and his competitive spirit had surged like never before.

Crowes could see the doubt in Kanpaku's mind.

You can also see Guan Bai's burning fighting spirit.

So he remained silent, completely adopting the posture of an opponent.

This is a sign of respect for a duelist, a final, all-out farewell to a friend about to depart.

It's Kanpaku's turn to play again.

After being suppressed by Kaiyi Raven for three consecutive rounds, Kanpaku was more eager than ever to draw a card that could reverse the situation.

With the Crow of the Claw dominating the field, the White Knight can only keep setting cards to survive.

however,

So, for pear syrup, bring on a giant sun monster!

Kanpaku closed his eyes and placed his hand on his deck.

"My turn... draw a card!!!"

The golden light flashed by, so pure and dazzling even in the neon lights of the sunset.

Guan Bai looked at the card in his hand and revealed a decisive smile.

He won!

"I usually summon Haputo the Great Sun!"

A burst of azure light erupted, and hundreds of rays intertwined, opening the door to a new dimension.

The Great Sun of Haputo, shimmering with golden light, flew out from a patch of blue and cyan, radiating holy light once more.

"This is my final Synchro Summon!"

Guan Bai pointed both hands to the sky and shouted loudly.

"I'll use a level four Great Sun Soldier, plus a level three Great Sun Cube to adjust the stars!"

"O Thunderous Machine God that roams the skies, unleash a thousand lightning bolts, descend as the light of judgment!"

"Synchronization Summon, Sigmar the Sun!"

The two monsters transformed into golden meteors, soaring into the clouds and turning into a bolt of lightning amidst the mist!

A massive blue lightning bolt cleaved the sky, and a majestic, ethereal hymn spiraled down as if it had a physical form, escorting the descending mechanical angels who had been severed!

"Activate the effect of Great Sun Cube, adding one Magician's Power from your Deck to your hand!"

Swish swish!

Kanpaku inserted all four Equipment Spells into the Duel Disk!

"I've equipped Sigma the Great Sun with all the Magister's Power, Great Sun Threads, Great Sun Materials, and Great Sun Fragments!!"

"Therefore, its attack power increases by 2600, and its defense power increases by 2000!"

"Battle Phase!"

"Sigma the Great Sun, attack Blackfeather - Black Spear Blaster!"

"Activate Sigma's effect: When declaring an attack, equip one more Equip Card from your Deck!"

"I'm equipped with Great Sun components!"

"This increases its attack and defense stats by another 500!"

【Sigma Great Sun】

[Seven Stars] 4400/3800→4900/4300

All the components, materials, fragments, and filaments have been gathered.

These components transformed into a massive golden band of light, which nestled into Sigma's body!

The ultimate fully equipped Sigma Sun, which cannot be targeted, seals magic in battle, and increases attack power by 3100, has been born!

Upon seeing such a magnificent machine god, Kro gritted his teeth and urgently activated the trap card.

"Activate Holy... wait, why can't I activate the Trap Card?!"

He suddenly realized that the Duel Disk had stopped responding!

Guan Bai explained loudly.

"The effect of 'Great Sun Threads' prevents your opponent from activating Spell/Trap Card effects when the equipped monster attacks!"

"Take this hit!"

"Divine Thunder!!"

Sigmar the Great Sun raised its arms, and the evening clouds instantly turned into dark clouds, churning up waves of cloud.

A terrifying bolt of lightning struck, piercing through Blaster's body and hitting Crow directly!

"ah!!"

Amidst the shouts, Kro's basic score reached zero.

[Crow Hogan LP: 2700→0]

The virtual image disappeared, and Guan Bai walked to Crow's side.

"Are you alright?"

He reached out and helped Crow up.

"Ah~ I lost to you, but I'll definitely win next time!"

Kro shook his head and sighed, using the strength of Kanpaku's arm to get up.

He put away the Duel Disk, then took a card from his deck and handed it to Kanpaku.

It's Blackfeather - Elite Zephyros!

"this!"

Guan Bai felt as if something had struck his heart.

A warm current flowed from my open heart to my whole body.

Crowe smiled.

"Here's a card for you; consider it my way of going to the Fortune Cup with you!"

"I'm going to take my share and give that Jack a good beating!"

Guan Bai accepted the card and solemnly promised.

"Of course, I'll show you how!"
