All the heavens begin with the mind-monkey.

Chu Xuan stood to the side, holding an instrument that looked like a small computer.

After some calculations, he said, "According to the existing model, compared to when he was in the Alien World, Wukong's physical strength, agility, and speed have increased by almost three times. If he were to face the Alien siege again, Wukong might be able to take on at least 50 Aliens at the same time and kill them all without getting injured."

Upon hearing this, Zheng Zha clicked his tongue in astonishment and said, "Is it that amazing? But I feel that even with my current physical abilities, if I were to triple my current strength, I might not be able to face so many aliens head-on without getting injured, right?"

Chu Xuan said, "It's because your calculation templates are somewhat different. You are just an ordinary person. Before entering the God's Space, you had not experienced any battles or learned any combat skills. Therefore, even if you suddenly gain great strength, you cannot fully utilize it."

"But Sun Wukong is different from you. In the original Journey to the West, when Sun Wukong was under the tutelage of Patriarch Bodhi, he did not systematically learn how to fight. However, after he gained supernatural powers, he was able to subdue the demons of Flower Fruit Mountain and even wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace. This in itself demonstrates Sun Wukong's fighting ability."

"So even if you two have the same physical attributes, the outcome of your fight will be completely different. If you want to catch up with Sun Wukong, you'd have to unlock your genetic potential and allow your body to undergo a fundamental evolution. Actually, I feel like Wukong is one of those beings who were born with their genetic potential unlocked."

Upon hearing this, Zheng Zha asked with some confusion, "What is a gene lock?"

Chu Xuan said, "I haven't told you before, but I've actually researched many things in the real world. Gene locking is one of the main abilities I've studied because it's related to human evolution. Did you know that?"

"According to our existing research data, in very ancient times, human ancestors were actually monkeys, or even earlier. There is an archaeological gap in the evolution of human ancestors at that time. That is, there is nothing to explain why humans suddenly evolved from monkeys into humans. Don't believe Darwin's theory of evolution; that theory actually has many fallacies, which modern science can disprove."

"Moreover, according to archaeological discoveries, the process of human evolution from monkeys to humans was actually very short. It didn't take millions of years, hundreds of thousands, or even tens of thousands of years. According to the most cutting-edge genetic and archaeological findings, this period was only about 120 years. That's right, in such a short time, humans completed all the necessary conditions for evolving from monkeys to ancient humans."

"In the long process of human genetic evolution, from the oldest single-celled organisms to multicellular organisms, to fish, then to amphibians, and finally to humans, everything has been revealed in the code of genetic deciphering. And in that short period of just over 120 years, a lock appeared in the human genome, which we now call the genetic lock."

"Therefore, the full potential of humankind was only unleashed for about 120 years, after which it was locked away for various reasons. And since then, from ancient humans to modern humans, the degree of human evolution has been negligible, and in fact, in the last tens of thousands of years, humans have not evolved at all."

"Tens of thousands of years ago, the intelligence level of humans was not significantly different from that of humans today. Human intelligence and physical abilities have not evolved further. Of course, I am not referring to technological progress here, because technological progress is merely the accumulation of knowledge and has nothing to do with human evolution itself. Human evolution has gradually stagnated."

"Think about it, if human genetic evolution hadn't stopped during those hundreds of thousands of years, if that lock hadn't confined human genes, what level would humanity have evolved to by now? Perhaps, like the gods and Buddhas in ancient myths and novels, humanity would have long since transcended this planet and expanded into outer space. I can't even imagine what level such humanity would have reached."

Chu Xuan paused here, and those around him, upon hearing Chu Xuan's words, all subtly turned their gazes toward Zhe Xingsun.

Li Xiaoyi said, "According to your logic, if the genetic locks on humans weren't closed, wouldn't we eventually evolve to the point where we're like the Monkey King?"

Chu Xuan nodded and said, "That's why I've always suspected that Wukong's genetic lock wasn't actually closed. For a naturally born being like him, his genes might have been constantly evolving since birth. It's just that in the first few hundred years, because there wasn't much external struggle or pressure, his genetic lock didn't evolve to a high degree."

"Afterwards, he received instruction from the Bodhi Patriarch, which gave him a direction for evolution. It is even possible that evolution could be artificially intervened, which allowed him to evolve to the level of a so-called immortal god in just over ten years, enabling him to wreak havoc in the Heavenly Palace and become known as the Great Sage Equal to Heaven."

Zheng Zha scratched his head and said, "I feel that your statement is still a bit too scientific. Why can't Monkey King and the others be true cultivators? I don't think the evolution of cultivation is necessarily worse than the so-called evolution of the gene lock."

Chu Xuan said, "You have this idea because you don't understand cultivation. In the real world, many devices that cannot be explained by modern technology have been unearthed both domestically and internationally. They do not possess the electrical energy or other energy sources we use, and we cannot start them."

"But judging from the materials used to make these tools, it was a very advanced civilization. Yet, such an advanced civilization has never been truly discovered by us in the real world. I have also studied those tools and found many inexplicable runes on them. At first, we all thought these runes were just decorations, or some kind of script that we did not know."

"It wasn't until I entered this space that I found some explanations of the runes from the main god. Each of those runes has a special meaning and can play a special role, just like those spirit bullets you exchanged for; the runes on them mean things like warding off evil and achieving ultimate yang. So, do you understand?"

"So-called cultivation is actually a kind of science, and those runes can be considered rune technology. So what you're thinking about regarding cultivation and evolution is also a kind of science, it's just that we can't understand the fundamental principles yet. Well, it's enough for you to know the general idea about these things."

However, after Chu Xuan mentioned this, Zheng Zha became even more curious about the so-called gene lock and rune technology.

He asked, "You've said so much, but how exactly do you unlock those genetic locks? Aside from creatures like the Monkey King who are born with the ability to unlock their genetic locks, how can ordinary humans unlock them?"

Chu Xuan said, "That requires a substance similar to adrenaline, but this substance can only be produced by the human body itself. Another crucial point is that it is actually highly toxic. So, after unlocking the genetic lock, it depends on whether you can withstand the damage this toxin inflicts on your body. Only then can you survive and become a being with an unlocked genetic lock. Furthermore, according to our research, humans have a chance to produce this substance under the most dangerous circumstances, thus unlocking their genetic lock."

Upon hearing Chu Xuan's words, Zheng Zha and the others immediately thought of the Main God Space.

Is the God of God constantly throwing them into dangerous horror movies so that they can unlock their genetic potential? But there's no point in thinking about it now.

Zheng Zha seemed to have thought of something and said, "Never mind, if we have the mechanism to unlock the gene lock, then one day in the future, we will unlock it sooner or later. However, Brother Monkey has already greatly increased his internal strength after eating those rotten peaches."

"I feel that his internal energy might be much stronger than mine, perhaps even reaching the high-level internal energy that can be obtained through B-rank side quests. Do you think we can increase our internal energy by exchanging for these rare and precious herbs? This way, we can save a lot of reward points and side quests."

Hearing this, Chu Xuan shook his head and said, "Perhaps it's not that simple, after all, the difference in your foundations is too great. But if you want to try, you can exchange for a small amount to test it out."

Hearing this, Zheng Zha was somewhat unwilling to admit defeat, so he directly exchanged a basket of rotten peaches, about a dozen or so, from the main god. He didn't actually dare to exchange too many, but he was also afraid that if he exchanged too few, he wouldn't be able to see any effect.
