The performance continued, and Blackie did a somersault in mid-air, landing steadily on the stage to thunderous applause from the audience.

Luo Xing kept his eyes fixed on the Black General on the stage, his mind racing to see if there was any way to subdue him.

The spotlight suddenly went out.

The entire circus was plunged into darkness, and a commotion arose in the audience. Luo Xing instinctively took out a Poké Ball, just in case.

Suddenly, Luo Xing's vision went black, and when he opened his eyes again, he was greeted by an endless forest.

All the spectators stood in an open space, completely bewildered, having no idea what was happening.

"Welcome everyone to DuckGigi's Hide-and-Seek Extravaganza!"

A clear voice came from above.

The boy in the duck-shaped hat descended from the sky and landed steadily on the branch of a big tree, his smile excessively bright.

He put his hands on his hips, and the tuft of hair on his hat swayed.

"The rules are simple! Each person will be teleported to a random scene where ten ducks are hidden. Find them all within thirty minutes to pass the level and win a mystery prize! There's no penalty for failure! Hope you all have fun!"

His figure vanished in a wisp of black smoke.

"The ceremony officially begins!"

Luo Xing paused for a moment, then turned to look at Golden Bean.

"That's not right. The steamed bun shop owner said he came three times, but he didn't mention this part at all?"

Before he could finish speaking, the scene changed again.

The surrounding crowd all disappeared.

When Luo Xing came to his senses, he was already standing in the hall of a castle, with a string of red numbers appearing out of thin air above his head: 30:00 remaining.

The countdown has started.

Luo Xing stretched his body, activated his All-Seeing Eye, and had complete control over the flow of magic around him.

He turned right at the foot of the hall, walked through a corridor, and pushed open the door to the first room.

There was a long table in the room, with piles of tableware and candles on it, and a cardboard box crouching in the corner, swaying slightly.

Luo Xing walked over and ripped it open.

A skinny duck named Jiji jumped out in fright, quacking wildly all over the room, before finally crashing into the wall and sliding down.

The progress bar above my head lit up: 1/10.

The second one was hidden inside the large pot in the kitchen, with the lid tightly closed; the third one crawled into the fireplace chimney, with only its two orange toes showing; and the fourth one, disguised as a lamp, stood motionless on top of the bookshelf.

7/10.

In less than fifteen minutes, Luo Xing had scavenged seven ducks, Jiji, from the first and second floors.

But starting from the eighth one, the difficulty increases sharply.

Luo Xing circled the second floor twice, scanning every corner, but found nothing.

The countdown has reached 10:00.

Luo Xing turned and went up the stairs to the third floor. He sensed magic in the first room, but couldn't find it after searching for a long time.

Finally, his gaze fell on the bathroom door.

Pushing open the door, I saw a sink, a bathtub, and a toilet—everything looked normal.

Luo Xing stared at the toilet for two seconds, then reached out and lifted the toilet lid.

"Gah!"

A tiny duck named Gigi, about the size of a palm, jumped out of the toilet, soaking wet and looking aggrieved.

8/10.

Luo Xing turned and walked out of the bathroom, her gaze sweeping over an oil painting hanging on the wall. The painting depicted a pastoral scene with golden wheat fields and a blue sky.

But in the lower left corner of the picture, there is a flat, paper-thin duck named Jiji, trying to stick itself flat on the canvas.

Luo Xing reached into the painting, touched it, and pulled hard. A duck that had been flattened into a piece of paper popped out with a "snap," regained its three-dimensional shape in the air, flapped its wings, and flew away.

9/10.

Countdown: 01:02.

Luo Xing frowned.

He used his all-seeing eye to scan the entire castle from top to bottom.

Luo Xing confirmed that the tenth duck, Gigi, was not inside the castle. Then, his gaze inadvertently swept downwards and landed on the main entrance of the castle.

The boy in the duck-shaped hat stood on the steps in front of the door, his hands behind his back, looking up at him and smiling.

A message appeared above the boy's head.

【Sprite: DuckGigi (King Form)】

【Skill:?】

The attribute panel is exactly the same as that of Black General.

Luo Xing's breath hitched for a second, then she burst out laughing.

"Goodness, you yourself are the tenth one."

Countdown: 00:08.

Luo Xing summoned a meow from the star chart.

"Meow, take me down."

Without even a second's hesitation, Miaowu grabbed Luo Xing by the back of his collar with his two front paws, pushed off with his hind legs, and leaped down from the balcony on the third floor of the castle.

00: 03.

00: 02.

Luo Xing reached out his hand.

00: 01.

At the last second, Luo Xing's hand touched the boy's shoulder.

The countdown above disappeared, and the progress reached 10/10.

After a puff of smoke, the boy transformed into Duckling, the same size as Black General, but with a completely different color: scarlet all over, with spade, heart, diamond, and club markings on its feathers.

Luo Xing was somewhat shocked; he hadn't expected there to be two King Ducks!

A scarlet ball appeared in Gigi the scarlet duck's hand and hovered in front of Luo Xing.

Its voice was exactly the same as the boy's; you should know that only legendary spirits of level 60 and above can speak.

"This ball is your reward. But before you accept it, I have a request."

Gigi the scarlet duck paused for a moment, her eyes pleading.

"If you agree to help me, the entire DuckGigi clan will pledge allegiance to you once it's done."

Luo Xing glanced at the system panel; the daily intelligence was still flashing, and there was no settlement yet.

It wasn't that simple after all.

He looked away, glanced at the scarlet duck Gigi in front of him, and nodded.

"explain."

Gigi the scarlet duck raised its wing, pulled a photo out from under its feathers, and handed it over. The photo was a little blurry, but you could barely make out that it was a Gigi the duck, and its color was like jade.

"Many years ago, I was sealed away and my body was split into three. The Black General you saw tonight was the first clone, and I am the second. It took me twenty years to find him."

"But I can't find any clues about the third clone. Only when all three clones reunite can the seal be broken. I hope you can help me find him."

Find someone?

No, we need to find a duck.

Luo Xing stroked his chin. There was no punishment, and the entire clan of ducks were loyal to him. No matter how you looked at it, this deal was a win-win.

"Okay, I will do my best to help you find it."

Luo Xing acted decisively and efficiently.

Gigi the scarlet duck was stunned for a moment, probably not expecting him to agree so readily.

The next second, Gigi the Scarlet Duck emitted a dazzling red light, which transformed into threads that floated toward Luo Xing and burrowed into his body.

A prompt appears on the system panel.
