Warhammer 40: Saviors Emerging from the Bottom

There wasn't much of a security system on the train. After manually opening the doors, everyone just found a seat and sat down.

A servo skull flew out from the driver's seat and wandered back and forth in the aisle, broadcasting important information about riding the vehicle through a loudspeaker mounted on it.

Accompanied by a somewhat annoying reminder, the view outside the window began to change rapidly.

Xiao Yi leaned back in his train seat and asked, "What was this train used for before?"

"For transporting goods or important passengers, because the routes are relatively simple, the mechanical priest in charge of maintenance simply installed an automatic driving machine in the driver's cab to improve the efficiency of the train."

Perhaps fearing that Xiao Yi would be bored on the journey, the adjutant kept explaining the history of this underground passage to him.

It was prepared for war from the very beginning, but after hundreds of years of peace, the rulers of Cindan believed that no outsider could threaten their rule.

So they reached an agreement with the local Mechanicus to convert this underground tunnel, originally prepared for war, into a transport route specifically for carrying important items.

After the Greens invaded, in order to have a safe environment for commanding operations, Liu Yi ordered an emergency renovation of the underground passage, reinstalling the security devices that had been removed.

However, due to the short timeframe, security devices were only installed in a few key locations, while the rest of the area was sealed off.

Time passed slowly, and just as the adjutant had predicted, it took Xiao Yi and his men two and a half hours to finally arrive at the temporary command post.

Upon opening the car door, a team of well-trained elite soldiers had been waiting for some time. After confirming their identities with the adjutant, they led Xiao Yi and his group into the underground fortress.

The security here is extremely tight. Almost every door requires verification, making it nearly impossible to sneak in without triggering an alarm, especially for the greenskins.

"Go through this door and you will see His Excellency the Governor," the captain of the elite guard said calmly.

He reached out and checked the procedure again, following the previous steps.

Then, the gate slowly opened, revealing the entire temporary command post.

The priests of the Mechanicus and the army's staff were staring at rows of data on the screens, trying to analyze the targets the Greenskins might attack next.

The servants frantically moved various documents, trying to find out exactly where they could get more weapons and ammunition to send to the front lines.

Xiao Yi's appearance did not attract much attention; they simply did not have time to focus their energy on a complete stranger.

"Only Lord Xiao Yi and one guard are allowed to enter. The rest of you, please wait patiently."

Upon hearing this, Charles glanced at Xiao Yi and, seeing no displeasure on the other's face, offered, "I'll go in with you."

Xiao Yi nodded in agreement.

Led by a waiter, the two made their way through a maze of turns to the center of the temporary command post.

Exhausted, the Supreme Lord of Cinda slumped onto the conference table and fell into a brief slumber. The attendants and officers around him dared not disturb him and could only wait quietly.

Even the attendants who were guiding Xiao Yi and his group stopped after getting close enough to take a step further.

"Um, could you please...?"

"No." Before the attendant could finish speaking, Xiao Yi refused.

Waiting is out of the question.

Xiao Yi could understand the other party, but that didn't mean he would continue to tolerate it. Repeatedly backing down would only make the other party feel that he, as a guest, was not worthy of respect.

Without giving the servant a chance to say anything more, Xiao Yi simply walked over.

The sound of footsteps reached Liu Yi's ears, and he immediately opened his eyes, looking warily in the direction from which the sound came.

To prevent the drowsy governor from mistaking the two men for assassins and doing something unwise, the attendant immediately stepped forward to remind him, "Your Excellency, your guests have arrived."

Upon hearing this, Liu Yi rubbed his temples, trying to rouse himself.

His confused mind made it difficult for him to organize his thoughts for a moment. After several seconds of silence, he finally spoke:

"I never expected that we would meet under these circumstances. I have heard about what you did in Bakhtar. You have demonstrated your loyalty to the Emperor through your actions."

"Alas, it's a pity you didn't agree to the marriage proposal, otherwise we would be family."

"It is my honor to have the Supreme Lord of China remember my name."

Seeing the friendly atmosphere between the two governors, the attendant leading the way couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

He quietly withdrew, allowing Xiao Yi and Liu Yi to talk in peace.

The two governors exchanged pleasantries before getting down to business.

The reason Liu Yi was in such a hurry to call Xiao Yi over was because he was really about to collapse.

The number of soldiers under his command dwindled with each battle, and the newly recruited soldiers were simply insufficient to fill the gaps in the battle lines.

Given the current state of the Imperial army, it will be difficult to withstand the next large-scale offensive by the Greenskins.

Aside from massively recruiting soldiers in the capital and using the lives of cannon fodder to hold out, the only option is to seek external assistance.

The only assistance he can currently receive is from Xiao Yi and his support fleet.

The other party came here to support Aurora, but there are differences between different kinds of support.

Due to the camera angle, Hograk itself did not appear on screen, but its roar was clearly recorded.

Seeing the orc guards glowing with green light, Xiao Yi's originally gloomy expression instantly turned serious. This was some kind of psionic enhancement, making the orcs, who were already known for their brute strength, even stronger.

With a single charge, they tore through the Imperial defenses ahead, slaughtering the entire Leman Rustank, the Mechanicus, and the power armored forces without exception.

Nothing can stop their advance.

"According to the analysis of alien scientists from Solaris, these should be the guards of the Greenskin warlords. Their appearance proves that the war has reached its most critical stage."

"As long as we can hold on, we have hope of winning, but the fierce fighting has caused heavy casualties among the soldiers of Aurora."

"But my soldiers have suffered heavy casualties, so..."

"Do you have detailed troop deployment information for the Greenskin army?"

Upon hearing Xiao Yi's question, Liu Yi finally felt relieved.

However, regarding troop deployment and such.

To this day, even those alien scientists haven't figured it out.

The green-skinned soldiers fought without any strategy; they just went wherever the action was most exciting.
