Warhammer 40: Saviors Emerging from the Bottom

Chapter 99: Giving the local soldiers a little shock

The orc piloting the Death Coffin stared at the chainsaw lying on the ground, his mind still reeling.

It seemed to see the human shrimp in front of it using the glowing little stick in its hand to cut off "its" arm.

Just as it began to wonder if it had eaten hallucinogenic mushrooms, Xiao Yi flashed into view and appeared in front of the Death Iron Can.

The red-glowing power sword pierced towards the location of the cockpit.

Unlike the Dreadnoughts, who have strict technological control, the Greenskins' Death Coffins are all about being cheap and plentiful.

The materials used in its manufacture also have strict requirements; basically, the master craftsman uses whatever he has on hand.

This results in its performance falling far short of that of a regular Fearless, rendering it only a low-class imitation.

For example, the armor in front of the Death Iron Can is made of scrap metal. It looks thick, but it doesn't actually offer much protection.

The tearing force field of the power sword could easily rip a gash in it, directly attacking the orc pilot inside.

Feeling the pain in its abdomen, the orc inside the giant iron canister roared, then raised its remaining three arms, attempting to smash Xiao Yi into mincemeat.

"They're moving too slowly!"

Xiao Yi sneered, and after pulling out his power sword, he kicked hard at the armor on the chest of the Death Iron Can.

The powerful reaction force propelled him out like a slingshot.

After drawing a perfect arc in the air, Xiao Yi landed steadily on the ground.

He gripped his power sword in his right hand, assuming an offensive stance, and snapped his fingers with his left, unleashing a green arc of electricity.

The giant iron canister that was hit stopped immediately.

The battle with Kragg made Xiao Yi realize that the Greenskins' psionic energy could forcibly activate machines hit by dormant rays.

But this takes time, and on the battlefield, a delay of even one second can be enough to kill you.

Taking advantage of the moment when the opponent was temporarily unable to move, Xiao Yi rushed forward again and stabbed towards the upper left of the gap in the chest of the giant iron can that had just caused death.

With a mournful cry of despair, the orc pilot inside lost his life.

"It's a bit more troublesome than I imagined."

Xiao Yi drew his sword and stood on the now unusable Death Iron Can, striking a cool pose.

This wasn't him showing off; he was sending a message to the Imperial soldiers behind him that the current crisis was nothing to him.

"There are still 5 left. We'll try to take them out as quickly as possible."

After glancing back to make sure the Imperial soldiers behind him had seen his heroic figure, Xiao Yi crouched down and placed his hand on the Death Iron Can, which had lost its driver.

The power of the Star God flowed into the green-skinned mech through his palm, and the internal structure, barely driven by the green-skinned mech's "I think power," was repairing itself at an incredible speed.

The giant iron canister beneath Xiao Yi suddenly twitched, then raised the machine gun mounted on its arm and began indiscriminately firing at its kind in the distance.

The massive bullet struck the energy shield of the Death Iron Canister, sparking bursts of sparks. Everyone watched this scene in bewilderment.

The greenskins couldn't understand why their comrades would betray them.

The Empire didn't understand why the seemingly paralyzed green mech would suddenly attack its own kind.

After emptying his ammunition, Xiao Yi stood up, jumped off the mech, and charged again toward the distant Death Iron Can.

He originally planned to squeeze every last bit of value out of the ground mech wreckage, to see if he could use the self-destruction to weaken the shields of the other Death Tanks.

But he later discovered that fixing the bugs in the green mech was more troublesome than building one from scratch.

So he did a quick repair on the machine gun and its magazine, fired a burst of bullets, and then discarded the large chunk of junk created by the green-skinned big tech bastard.

"Holy crap, holy crap, he looks like he's charging again, what do we do now?"

The panicked adjutant frantically pounded on his superior, seemingly forgetting that the person next to him was a wounded soldier who had just been blown away by a shell.

"Can we please stop fighting? I feel like I'll need to go back to the rear to recover from my injuries if this continues."

"I'm in charge of frontline command," Liu Chen said through gritted teeth, as his adjutant violently slapped his wound.

"I'm sorry, sir. He, he..."

"I've already seen it; there's no need for pointless repetition."

Due to excessive blood loss, Liu Chen's face was somewhat pale.

However, this does not prevent his brain from functioning normally.

After a brief analysis of the situation, Liu Chen issued a series of orders.

Its main task is to help Xiao Yi eliminate the remaining green-skinned mechs, strengthen the defense line, and prepare to fight the green-skinned kids who are charging up with the mechs.

Just as Xiao Yi had predicted, the imperial soldiers who had witnessed his formidable strength emerged from their initial despair and rekindled their hope.

Looking at his subordinate whose work efficiency had noticeably improved, Liu Chen muttered to himself with some doubt, "Where did this guy even come from?"

"I think they might know."

Liu Chen looked at his adjutant, and following the direction the adjutant was pointing, he saw Charles and his group, who had arrived late.

"They were wearing military uniforms, but not the style of Aurora. Considering the recent news of reinforcements arriving, they should be Imperial troops coming to provide support."

"Let's go take a look."

With his adjutant's help, Liu Chen slowly moved toward where the other party was.

But Charles, who had rushed here in a hurry, clearly didn't want to waste any more words with him.

After confirming Xiao Yi's location, Charles stepped on the gas and sped straight over.

"They just rushed up there like that?"

"Sir, what should we do?"

"What else can we do? Of course, we have to find a way to cover them."

Since the other party had already left, there was no need to bother going over there. Liu Chen stood there, watching the group charging towards the green tide, and sighed helplessly.

"Where did all these strange creatures come from?"

On the other side, Xiao Yi hacked and charged forward until he finally arrived in front of the second Death Iron Can.

Unlike the first one, this one is equipped with melee weapons on all four arms, including machetes and chainsaws, and it is significantly larger in size.

Having learned from his previous experience, Xiao Yi wasted no time and immediately channeled his spiritual energy to cover his fist before unleashing a powerful punch.

The shield surrounding the giant iron canister was like glass; after taking his attack, it immediately cracked in several places.

Just as Xiao Yi was preparing to continue his attack and shatter its shield in one go, the third Death Iron Can rushed up and spewed scorching flames at him.

Fortunately, the shield on his body can not only isolate damage, but also heat conduction.

Xiao Yi ignored the attack from the third Death Iron Can and successfully broke through the shield of the second one with his fists and power sword.

He was clearly much busier fighting five opponents at once.
